thank God for guiding me to this video today.
I've always done the sampling in the MPC, then export to FL, then export final beat to protools for record.
Then i wanna change something and it's a pain in the ass EVERY. TIME.
This is f*n perfect man. Thank you so much I appreciate you.
FL Studio usually has a limiter on the Master channel by default.
This limiter will stop any distortion from any samples you pull up in FL Studio.
The MPC however does not have any limiters by default. This is why you feel
that the same sound in MPC hits "harder.. more snappy" than in FL Studio for
example. Remove the limiter from the master channel in FL and they'll sound
exactly the same as they do when played on the MPC.
Nah..it’s not that, it’s just different though. I’ve used FL since 02 and am familiar with all that. The old MPCs had a certain tonality and i believe Akai worked to emulate that sound through their software to give it that sound. Also, i am able to get the exact sound easily from both, but the MPC is more “immediate”, personally

The mpc live is great in standalone mode. But if this is your preferred workflow, save yourself some cash and get an mpc touch. You can pickup a used one for $300
I wouldn't recommend a Touch to anyone anymore..it will work, but not well with current software and the latest Operating Systems. This is a tutorial of using the MPC Software within FL as a VST period, no matter the device. The MPC Studios would be great as would a MPC X SE...there are pros and cons to all the workflows.

It should be installed as a VST when you install the MPC Software...then in FL, you have to rescan for new VST plug-ins

You can 100% use any of your VST's and plugins in MPC 2.8 (software)
Not in standalone mode of course but if your MPC is connected to your PC
and you're using the MPC DAW you can definitely use all of your favorite VST's.
Google "How to use my VST's with MPC 2.8" and you'll find plenty of information.
Second do you know how to upload midi kits for those of us who use pre made melodys. I’m assuming you know what a midi kit is. Can you teach me how to upload midi in the vst version of MPC in FL Studio ?
My issue is After I mute my MPC and play it back on the playlist it still plays from the machine after I exported the drums not understanding why smh
I've seen that before..i like to mute and turn the volume fader down..and also move or hide the MPC channel when i'm done with it

I know this vid is old but figured i'd chime in and say thanks for the vid. For me I cant drag / drop FL Studio sounds onto the MPC no matter what i do. I also cant use Play, Play Start, Stop Etc. All I can see are the pads registering in FL Studio :(

Some people prefer drum pads n the set up off the mpc because it more off your feelings n easier to go thru drum if u have a idea n mind

No prob...Yes the drum kit can be used in any DAW or program..appreciate the support
and the interface i have actually is close to that amount used now lol..it is one of the first gen Apollo Twins...but i would recommend a Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 or something like that to start with.

It’s recommended, but not technically. Also, most of the newer MPCs (besides the Studio) are audio interfaces.

How to you scan for the mpc x plugin? I tried scanning for it doesn’t pull up.
Maybe reinstall the MPC Software? What version of FL are you on?
Did you use gross beat to add that stutter effect at the end of bar 4 1:20 in?
can you make a sound or pattern on fl studio and pass it over easily to the pad ? like lets say i made a melody and want to take it on the go can i do it like this seamlessly instead of exporting and to SD card
I’ll see what i can do after trying this out...makes a lot of sense and i haven’t used it in reverse like that

can you export the drum from the mpc to the fl studio drum rack (export the midis)

Ay i gotta question I got da mpc live and im thinking bought getting fl studio 20 imma use them both together threw midi have you ever tried to sync both devices without using the mpc as a plug in because my computer is running off of windows 7 so it won't connect with my mpc in controller mode so instead of buying another computer i still wanna use this one because its still brand new. I know you can sync both devices threw midi because i did it on fl studio 11 with my moc but is it the same for fl studio 20
I wouldn’t wanna tell you wrong on that one..I’m not sure how it’d work with FL 20, MPC and Windows 7. I know they always try to change compatibility to get people to update so no idea.

When you drag and drop from the FL browser to the MPC, do the samples stay on the MP?

If you install the MPC Software for any of the compatible MPCs, a part of that install is the MPC vst...if you did and don’t see it, try opening the plugin manager in FL Studio and rescanning your plug-ins for it to update those that are available.

Actually you can...there is a MIDI Control option to set up custom keys/notes or other midi control to the pads and Q-Links

I honestly don’t know and it’s not something I can recreate. Several people in these comments said the same, but I’ve done it this way on 4+ computers and multiple MPCs and it all works the same for me

Yep..it’s exactly the same. You can make a full beat in it and have it routed to the mixer in a DAW and all if you want. I just like to move the loops in DAW to arrange and mix due to it being quicker for me

Only catch is you can only run a single instance of MPC in FL. Be dope if you could load more than one (like you can with FPC), but prob would be real drag on CPU.

I having trouble actually getting my drum patterns too copy into fl studio but if I’m using a vst on the mpc it will record but I use the drum pads for a drum pattern an it records nothing

I wouldn’t recommend it in Standalone, but i guess you can run the outs from the MPC into the Ins of your interface....you might as well just use the Software/VST version as i did in the video...that way everything syncs up perfectly

I even deleted my entire computer and reinstall FL Studio 20. Including the VST plugin mpc live 2 and I still can not found the MPC software on FL Studio 20

This BS video seems to have helped 1,000s of others but sorry you didn't understand. You could have simply asked that I do a video answering the question you have. Also, it doesn't take any wires. This is controller mode and the only cable needed is the USB from the MPC to the computer...and power since you're on MPC One.
