OK, to help people out, here's some quick arithmetic, based on what George claims:
1 person commits suicide every 30 seconds. That's 2 per minute
    2 x 60 = 120 suicides per hour
    120 x 24 = 2880 suicides per day
    2880 x 365 = 1,051,200 suicides per year
As for the length of this video, using the same arithmetic:
    16 minutes long = 32 suicides
    30 seconds extra = 1 extra
So during this video, 33 people committed suicide, with one person PREPARING. He's probably still writing the note...

You have to have courage. I have also tried a few times. I think it's more selfish for people to chastise those who say it was selfish. I think it's selfish to keep a person around, even though they have been suffering for 30 years. Pills, therapy, hospitalized, nothing works for a person with bipolar as my dad had. • @bobinthewest8559
      @bobinthewest8559 Před 3 lety +2

Research "the great depression" which began in 1929. Really "dig into" it...
You will discover that the whole thing was actually "engineered" by "the banksters", and was the largest transference of wealth (from the poor to the rich) in modern history. It was "theft", plain and simple... only, it wasn't "money" that was stolen from the average person... but rather, the VALUE of their money.
Then... look at every "recession" since then... and you will see that the same methods were used (just not to the same extreme).
Notice that every "recession", makes the (extremely) wealthy, even wealthier... while devastating average folks.
It is a pattern... a system, that has been used by those in control of humanity's monetary systems since... well... for a VERY long time.
They create the bubble... accumulating wealth as it artificially "inflates".
Then, when (seemingly) everyone has all of their "money" invested INTO the bubble...
THEY "reverse their position" (selling off all of their "paper" assets), and "burst" the bubble... scooping up the VALUE of everyone else's "investments" by simply buying up all of the "hard assets" (real estate, gold, etc.) for "pennies on the dollar".
This has been going on for a VERY long time... and they continually "get away with it", simply because, frankly, average people are just not "long term thinkers".
But, with a "longer view"... these things are actually not very difficult to "predict".
Generally speaking... wherever you see the biggest "boom"... you are also seeing the "source" of the next "big crash".
This IS of course, an extremely simplified explanation (just the "broad strokes", if you will)... but, no "psychic abilities" are necessary to see where things will go.
The only part that is difficult to predict... is WHEN "they" will pull the plug.

Well, first I didn't write that anecdote to elicit compassion (even though you'd need some to get my point, or to get George Carlin's routine for that matter). Second, it was quite sarcastic on my part to say that he was indeed the kind of guy who could commit suicide yet be scared to death of catching germs or eating unhealthy food - hence why I found G.C.'s impersonation spot-on. And third, he was begining a new anti-depressant treatment at the time, and it was clearly stated on the guidelines paper (don't know the exact term in english) that there was an increased risk of suicidal thoughts and behaviours during the first weeks, and the psychiatrist who prescribed it said nothing about it to anyone, so in my opinion that's what triggered such a rushed and compulsive suicide (which was utterly “out of character”, so to speak : the guy used to ponder for weeks before taking the slightest decision on the most trivial matters), and if it had been up to me, I would have sued the psychiatrist's ass (even though that would probably have been a losing battle, these people never pay for the consequences of their failures).

You know I have been watching Carlin since the late 60s early 70s somewhere there in about when he actually had hair and wore a suit. I guess my first sight of him was on Johnny Carson. Hey I like George Carlin's humor and actually used to have albums, LP's you know Long play records to listen to his comedy. But his time has passed and I watch these videos and read some of the comments and everyone Praises him as a prophet. He simply knew shit that no one else knew and he talked about it and everyone is starry-eyed. But alas, as the decades Roll by we all new the same shit but we just didn't get on television and talk about it. It just seems amazing how many young people watch this today and think that wow! This guy knows what we're thinking! I like Carlin's comedy although I do think this clip is not his best because there are people with problems out there today and they actually need help not someone to I guess you could say push him off the ledge. And I also believe he shouldn't talk about the kids who actually are distraught and they decided they want to kill themselves at an early age. Like I say I really enjoy listening to Carlin but I think he stepped Over The Line talkin about childhood suicide. There are children who are watching this. I actually feel bad over this short clip and wish he had not done it. Oh well screw it what's for supper?
