  • In this video I review the German-made Knipex Alligator water pump pliers. They are a huge upgrade from standard Channellock style pliers and are extremely useful for jobs ranging from electrical and plumbing repairs to automotive maintenance.

I wouldn’t say a big upgrade to Channellocks because they both have there place. I still prefer Channellocks for most jobs over the Knipex I own . I am not saying Knipex are bad it’s just I prefer Channelocks. But again they both have there place and both do certain things well .

Awesome review. Are you up for a collaboration talking something about small engine repair by the way? Maybe we could collaborate?

I have several pliers of this type: Knipex Cobra 10" & 12" inches; Knipex Alligator 12"; 10% and 7"; Stanley; Husky and Channellock Fasgrip 9" among other brands. -For my very personal taste, the Alligator are the best quality steel pliers; jaw design and ergonomics, I even like it more Alligator than Cobra performance -Jaws grip is better on Alligator than Cobra, Cobra pliers with the same jaw design as Alligator would be the best of both models. -Performance; quality and the durability and ergonomics of the Knipex Alligator and Cobra is hard to beat.
