  • In a thriller WAFL classic at Claremont Oval (my 3rd ever WAFL game attended LIVE), 1st v 2nd battled it out in a preview of the 1982 grand final...here at Fan C Footy Floodbath we want to bring back some of your greatest football memories with a fun soundtrack, so here is one of mine as a 9 year old, in my very early days of loving the game.....

      @@samueljonis434 yeh people forget how different everything was in those days....Would love to know what the guy said for Noel Morton to throw the backwards arm swing ....he is probably glad he didn't connect

    I remember watching this game on TV at home just up the road from Claremont oval. Claremont was ok against Swans by and large during the home and away games, even ok in the semi finals. Grand finals though.....

      Mate you might be spot on....Basil Campbell was also in there for a photo finish

      @@fancfootyfloodbath9172 Ah, yes. Those punches in the 1981 GF was something else! That Boucher always had a smug look on his face. We had heard about him somewhat in Victoria.

      Maybe they thought the navy blue shorts clashed a bit with the black.....but then if that was the case I would have thought Swans would wear white shorts
