Today, in our sports encyclopedia series we will talk about Paper Scissors Rock.
Rock Paper Scissors, does not require a specific skill set and is mainly played on the basis of luck.
The game involves players making different hand gestures standing in front of each other.
The primary objective is to score more than your opponent.
Rock Paper Scissor is an individual sport that involves players competing against each other.
The game can take place in any environment where appropriate seating for the players and participants can be arranged.
The contest takes place between two players at a time.
At the beginning of the match, both players are seated in front of each other.
The players join their fists together to count together to 3 counts, mostly this is either the name of the game for example Rock! Paper! Scissors! Or Ro! Sham! Bo! Or simply numbers.
On the third count, both players simultaneously change their fists into any of three "objects, which they then "throw" by extending it towards their opponent.
These three objects include papers, scissors, and rock.
The target for both the layers is to defeat the opponent by selecting a weapon that defeats their choice.
The battle occurs according to the following rules.
1. The Rock which is identified by a clenched fist wins against Scissors as it breaks them, loses to Paper as it gets wrapped up, and stalemates against itself.
2. The paper which is identified by all fingers extended with palm facing downwards, upwards, or sideways wins against Rock as it wraps it, loses to Scissors as it gets cut, and stalemates against itself.
3. The scissors that are identified by the forefinger and middle finger extended and separated into a V shape wins against Paper as it cuts it, loses to Rock as it gets smashed, and stalemates against itself.
The first player to reach the set number of points is declared as the winner of the round.
The player who wins 2 out of 3 matches is considered as the overall winner.
