    Brilliant video. I just bought Pixinsight and when I installed it I thought I was looking at the instruction manual for a warp drive. This video is such a big help to get started. Thank you.

      Yeah I was thinking of doing the same thing. It was so hard when I started and I had zero help. I didn't need some guy to expound how smart he was. Just tell me what button to push!

    I just added the suite to my trail software package. You made it look so easy!! Can't wait to get enough data to run it through PI. I do have to admit...I was skeptical at first when you asked us to d/load from another sight...but after entering the URL into the Repositories and then running the Updates process...the EZ Scripts were there to use!! Thanks for the help! You have given me enough info to get started!! Bravo!!

      @@easyastroimages5818 with that being said…I just paid for the commercial license and once I upgraded and registered my subscription, I can no longer get the EZ Processing Suite to show up in the Script pull down menu. I’ve removed and added the link for darkarchon but cannot get the suite to load back into the script pul menu. Any suggestions?

    I like this tutorial a lot. Straight forward and is actually convincing me to just use this over Photoshop. I'm in the same boat in western NY where I have limited time, and want to use it wisely.

    How do sun glasses effect Pixinsight processing? I think it would be nearly impossible to see the correct colors

    coming from a mono camera (asi1600) to a osc (asi533) I thought it would have been easieer processing, but I have lost my way somewhere along the line , Once i get a claer sky then im hoping to get some data and do new flats, darks etc

    • @easyastroimages5818
      @easyastroimages5818  Před 2 lety +2

      Try the basics first. I like to use a lot of the free scripts and those ezprocesses before trying more advanced techniques. I’ve spent the past few months going over all of Adam blocks tutorials and what I’ve noticed is that you can get better images but like you said get lost more quickly. Using photoshop to color balance is also a winner if you have access.

    Hi, and thank you for a nice tutorial. My question: When you started you had a stacked (integrated) linear image of Andromeda. How did you do that? After calibrating with WPPS I get a lot of calibrated files. Red, green, blue RGB, grey, debayered. When you stacked, which files did you choose? The RGB or each color at a time an then stacked them together? Please enlighten me, I am really confused because in almost all tutorials this part is not explained. Clear Skies / Ulf

    Would there be any reason not to run SCNR to get rid of the green cast as one of the first steps rather than waiting until after stretching?

    • @easyastroimages5818
      @easyastroimages5818  Před rokem +1

      much has changed since this video. i usually still use scnr if and only if after stretching i have any green. the new spcc tool has really cleaned that up a lot!!

    This is probably a simple question but how do you display the windows and scripts on your screen within Pixinsight so that they are small like yours. Mine open to where I’m unable to get to the bottom of the window to click ‘run’ to run a process. I’m on a windows 11 laptop so the issue seems to be with Pixinsght. Do you know of a fix? I know there are others having this issue.

      PI on my new MacBook runs well but when it hangs you have to quit it completely in the task bar. That’s all that’s worked for me.

    • @Ar3s701
      @Ar3s701 Před 2 lety

      Check for updates after adding the repository and it should ask you if you want to install them. Reboot and it should be there now.

    • @jeffreyvictor3678
      @jeffreyvictor3678 Před 2 lety

      @@easyastroimages5818 after you "ADD" the URL...you have to run the "UPDATE" let it complete a complete update of the entire program. Then exit out of the program (you may have to restart your computer) and then restart PI and the EZ Suite will be under the "SCRIPT" Tab. Hope that helps...that's how it worked for me with my trial version.

    ...at the start of your DBE process, you have loads of samples setup already - can you explain how you got to that stage from the defaults please?...right off the bat your screen is different to everyone else :(

      @easyastroimages5818  Před 2 lety

      All you have to do is select the ge rate samples button and they will get created all over your image baed on the size and how many per row you can set. They will be placed based on your shadows and relaxation settings

    The only problem I have with Pixinsight is how to save the file. Please help

    • @easyastroimages5818
      @easyastroimages5818  Před 2 lety

      You just make sure you have the image selected and then file and click save as and they either keep it as an xisf file for pixinsight or save it as a tiff for photoshop or a JPEG for Facebook. And don’t forget to change the long name :)
