its time for a new build, this is Ricky's (from the living life fast youtube channel) PRE-LCI BMW 114i and i'm going to complete a custom conversion to a BEASTLY M140I M2 HATCH! This is the first episode of the series where i took delivery of the 114i, met ricky and give you guys an outline of the plan before getting to work stripping the 114i to make way for new m140i parts.

Loving the workmanship in this video. I've seen a few front end M2 conversions done on M140's but I had no idea that the F-Series chassis was so interchangeable with parts. I'll be following this build and your work as it looks spot on.

@@romainbraud716 was a packaged deal, ricky bought it im not sure how much he paid. But normally the lights are about 3k wings about 200 each, bonnet £400 bumper complete with grills about 500

I just did a face lift for my bmw 116i 2013. The boot I brought was from a 118i but came with the wires. I need to wire it but I’m looking for wire the part number for the wire can you help me with this and also if you have a diagram for it.

Donor car was dirt cheap, u will see all on that in ep.3 it was a cat b write off. 😅 was peanuts for all the buts we got. Check it out in ep.3

Im confused. Why are you taking a pre face 114 and changing it to just a 140i. Why not just buy a 140i and put the m2 stuff on that?

M140i is like 20k used, 114i maybe 4k
@vollcare4076 lol. No. They arent 20k. They can be found with high mileage for around 12k now. He is literally chopping it up and putting rear qtrs on and front end so its not as though he needed a mint one. Building an engine too so mileage wouldnt of mattered. Would of been easier to find a damaged one or one with a blown engine or something. The labour hours would eat into unnecessary money and ultimately no matter what it turns out as at the end of the build. It will bever be worth anything because of what it was on the log book. Just seems like a very backwards way of doing something.
@@NickthaGeek if you do it by yourself (don’t pay the Labour), it will be cheaper to by a 114i most likely.
But for sure, if you have to pay the entire Labour for the 114i to M140i drivetrain swap it might be more expensive starting with the 114i
Yh but we got this 114 for like 1700. Donor car will be like 2k. Im saving ricky over 10k to put back into mods. Will be epic
