@@tommas2674 absolutely agree! Our husky was about thirteen when we adopted a third dog and it really brought out the inner pup in Nanook! Plus it's always lovely to watch a new addition learning the good qualities and caring nature from a senior pet!
@@jackie8292 I have always been split on that, will the older dog miss their sole time with their human, or will they become more active. Good to hear your experience. OH reread you have 3 dogs, how do you keep up yourself. LOL.

I turned my SUV's rear seats and cargo area into a dog-friendly travel bed by using foam from those bed toppers. Might be a potential use for your foam, my dogs just love it.

Jamie, I live in San Antonio, Texas and everyone here knows that if the weather is hot (100+F.) just wait five minutes and the weather will change to anything from flooding rain, and even an occasional snow! I once was driving my mothers station wagon and I was stopped waiting for a red light to change when rain started to fall on the front half of the car while the back half was dry as a bone. The sun was shining in a partly-cloudy sky. It was magical and I could not take my eyes off it until some “rude” drivers behind me laid on their horns. I’ll never forgot it.
He does love the beach. Love it when he expresses himself when he is really happy.

Sherpa’s done real good being left alone. He wasn’t bugged out or having a fit. I think he’s more chill than he used to be. Sorry about the WiFi troubles. Don’t know if they have cell served WiFi over there, but you might check into it. It works better if the signal is strong. Sherps was real happy at the beach. He really likes that. Always leave a light on when you leave your dog alone, no matter how short the time or if it is day or night!!!! They don't know if you are ever coming back. So make things as comfortable as possible while you are gone. We have never left any dogs we have ever had without a light.

Rain, yes, more rain🙁phew, when you said you had to come home early I thought someone was poorly. Yes internet is your job, Jamie but good to hear you and Sherpa were ok. Gorgeous stroll along the beach made up for it. How do you always pick the right time when the tide is out and not a sole in sight?😄how lazy was the courier. The airbnb should have put a notice about the temporary communications outage and expected date of repair on their listing, discounted it steeply and fixed the step beforehand. But not having done that, they should have issued you a refund. Standard customer relations. Your parcel delivery friends must've taken the day off.

Jamie, pushing all furniture against the walls only creates an illusion of space. Put sofa in centre of the room or away from the wall and see how it looks and feels. Look at some interior design images for inspiration.....

Love sherpa on the beach the dog i used to have loved only sandy beaches. Glad big red is better . Shepa is such a good dog being left on his own but then he knows you would never leave him forever .

I just saw a post suggesting that Jamie get another dog for Sherpa and himself. That's a good idea. I have a relative who has a senior citizen dog, and got a puppy. The older dog is prancing around, playing with the pup. Ones a male , the other a female. I love how Sherpa loves his big yard.
