I once twisted the extra dial feet off like you did before and it warped the dial making it uneven and dented. So as a precaution I would suggest clipping it off with nail clipper or wire cutter. 👍

Hi, Max: This "build your own watch" thing makes me think. I draw watch dials just as a hobby and sometimes I wonder what would happen if I assembled some DIY watches with the dials I design. I will have to wait for next lives to find out... as long as watches are still necessary in those lives. Interesting video. Regards from Chile!

Hi Max, I really liked the watch on the strap but on the bracelet it looks fantastic. The case, handset and bezel really work but for me the dial isn't what I'd go for but what do I know, I still haven't gotten the hang of fitting the hands yet. Another great one mate 👍

I see your black pearl doesn’t have any of the Namoki branding on the dial. I’ve searched their website. Do you know if they sell your same dial without their branding all over it?
Quite nice! Lots of time went into the intro. -I think the only thing is that the bezel is just too close to Rolex for me. A different typeface would help, thinking of Tudor here. Rolex just own the Eurostile look (a font from the 60s that is still used widely in science fiction movies)

That looks great! Is it me or does the chapter ring doesn't perfectly align with the dial? When I build customs I always install the chapter ring, then crystal with the movement seated in the case to make sure everything lines up (well unless it's a blank chapter ring)
Next build: Seiko for the XXI Century astronaut: Shock proof, antimagnetic, hardlex crystal, chronometer with no subdials, 3 o'clock date complication, solar quartz, tachymeter chapter ring, preferably _not_ shiny - but rather bead-blasted finish, black field watch with 12/24 hour markers (like a field watch), red second hand with the round luminova circle at the tip (not the tail), Seiko has the _Sportura_ movement that would likely work.
I want to vent: This watch looks GREAT. Similar to the Unimatic U1. Why are watch brands (and the customer base) SO OBSESSED with recycling traditional looks instead to modernizing them? Why are diver, pilot, and field styles still followed so devoutly when 0.1% of the customers actually dive, fly or go exploring. Honestly who actually needs a 120 click bezel with lume? Why does a watch for an office worker need to copy elements from a pilots watch? Where's the f*cking BALLS to deviate. Only a handful of microbrands and mod watches do the trick. It's so annoying. The watch industry is paralyzed by tradition in my opinion. Very few brands out there making actual quality fresh looking designs.
Some people calls them "builds", others "mods" - there is a portion that calls them "fakes" or "knocks-offs" but I definetively prefer to call them "Seiko wannabes - made with chinese parts retailed at rip-off prices". Namoki and the rest - I understand you need to eat but... a 5usd chinese part being sold at your page for 50usd + overpriced shipping? No, thanks
