He turned a Seiko into a Seiko.
That’s my sentiments exactly.
with some Seiko mods...
I was thinking that, Mercedes hands and a green ceramic insert do not make a Rolex lol
It's not my thing either but he never said it was anything other than a Seiko...
@@theaussiewhinger It's the title of the video, Modding Seiko into Rolex.
This is filmed so well, not a lot of cuts, tons of explaining. Thanks!!
That domed sapphire and the way it flows with the bezel... AMAZING! Now I need one in all black with a ceramic bezel
It's so cool to see the watch maker beeing an watch enthusiast for SEIKO like that. That giggle when he got the bezel on is just priceless☺️❤️ Und du kannst sie jeden Tag tragen! Ein richtiger Daily Beater ist das!
Haha you judged very well. I collect only seiko watches too
@@customseikowatches1911 So awesome!!! Isn't the world a tiny little place? Ha,ha!!!
I always keep my Seiko's in honour. I don't know what it is but I just love my Seiko's that I have. They give me so much confidence, when I wear them. Maybe it's because, we as watch enthusiasts feel the heritage and legacy and can appreciate that much more then an average person🤷🏻♂️
Das ist etwas besonderes!!!
He's the roughest watch maker I have seen so far in my life. I wouldn't let him touch any vintage watches...
I wouldn't let him touch ANY watch
dude your a hater so just shut up! do u think you can do better...I don't think so loser face!
@@licha5050 I actually can do better and yes, OP is right
@@ashen99 come on I work on my own watches and it's not easy. now I mean no disrespect to you. but it's a lot of fun to work on them. but don't poke fun at the guy
@@licha5050 the dial was stuck under the crystal press Bruh
The end result was superb. Great job!!
Aaargh.. Autsj.. There is a dial stuck under that crystal press when pressing the crystal. A bit roughly build, but a nice watch. Enjoy it.
It would be nice at the end of video inform everyone the total cost of the mod. I believe most audiences would be curious to know.
1 dollar.
At least 3
@@vladonebotos Thanks for posting the link. I've just checked out some of the modded pieces and, I have to say, the prices are quite modest.
If you have to ask,,, you can't afford it . :);
@@DANTHETUBEMAN ok
You have hands of a man who has worked. I respect that.
I like that you can get something different by doing this. Not pretending to be a Rolex. Clearly still showing the movement and where it's come from but just making it look like a Rolex. I think this is a really cool idea. I know nothing about watches so wouldn't have a clue about your processes but I really like the Kermit and the Pepsi. Two of my favourite Rolex's, I might have to reach out to you. :)
At first i thought hes gonna ruin the watch, but the end result is amazing😍
Yes it looks fantastic, much better than the original Seiko 5 :)
You underestimate me 😂
@@customseikowatches1911 stfu
Beautiful final result! That Seiko Kermit looks 10x better than the normal 5!
13:10... that’s the sound that makes every watch lover die.
😂😂
Haha it made me 😫😖
i cringed during the entire video.
That was so much fun Niko! Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
I did enjoy your watch Mod video, simply shown and explained perfectly!
Thank you
I have an SKX031J I’m wanting to modify. I’m also considering building my own SKX models for fun. How interesting!
The watch looks awesome, congratulations!
My two favourite parts are when you stick a screwdriver into the movement to get it out of the case and when you jam a steel case back opener under the bezel to prise it off with no protection for the case.
We learn by teaching, or sarcasm...lol
The glass trick though
You mean when he gently lifts the movement with a tool that works great for the job and when he doesn't damage the watch and removes the bezel?
@@davidmcguire6043 no, maybe you’re thinking of a different video.
"Gets the job done!", this IS Dubai, not Switzerland, after all.
Hi Niko!
It’s an interesting result. I felt a little sorry for the blue dial that was under the press... 😉
Best regards,
Claus
Thanks Claus. Ups I just noticed that ;)
😂savage!! You remind me my dentist
the watch looks awesome!
Great job loved it.
Great work! Thanks for sharing. Learned a lot here.
I have an skx I built like that on a bond and it gets more compliments than my actual submariner
I was holing my breath , wonderful display of watchmaking skills and expertise beyond description of words . Well done .
Looks awesome! Where did you get the Bracelette? I love its tapering
Perfectly done. Loved the end result.
Beautiful work. I would wear that.
Superb work and a fascinating insight!
Good job on this mod. Well done.
Looks great!
Love it!
Watching the dial get dragged around by the crystal press the whole time :(
This usually doesn't happen. This was my first time building on camera so in trying to ensure camera sees my steps, I neglected the blue dial. Anyways it was not being used in this watch so it's OK, I threw it away :)
@@customseikowatches1911 Not an excuse, why throw the stock dial away?
@@palmeadia because I don't need it. I have too many available
@@customseikowatches1911 Bad practice is bad practice, it was ugly to see. Your further excuse is the perfect depiction of what's wrong with humans and the consequential effect on the planet.
@@palmeadia OK buddy. Looks like you are in a modding business yourself. Focus on that
I Love it and I want it !!!
🤤❣️
Love it man !!
Hi. For the case back ring, what lubricant did you use? I need to buy some for my own mods. Cheers! Great video by the way.
Excellent 😍👏
I’d like it one but with seiko 5 green from the 61k1. It would be so awesome
Looks fantastic!
A jubilee strap, exhibition style back with additional sapphire crystal would be most beautiful accompaniments to your excellent work sir👍💯🎉✔️
Great mod, subbed to the channel
Looks really nice...
This was so cool !!! You have motivated me now! 😁😁😁
Amazing mod congratulations 👏
Where did you buy this wonderful watch strap ?? I've bought 3 at 3 different places and I didn't find at least one good 😭😭.
Any advice please 🙏🙏??
FANTASTIC
Great Job !!!👌🏻
beautiful mod
Nicely Modified.
That was really grate job ! Thank you for sowing.
Beautiful work amazing
Great video !!
That’s incredible. Didn’t know people modded their watches like this. I’d hire you to mod one of my watches! You’re that good 😊
İ really dont understand why you need this customization. İ think first is perfect. Ok thats also perfect but i decide first original design.
Very impressive !!!!!!
It looks great! But unfortunately because of my small wrists a thicc watch like this just doesn't work as well for me
As a total watch noob, I wish you would not have cut some of the video so I can see exactly what you're doing. For example when removing the dial face, I don't know what you did, where there any latches or hinges you had to unbuckle? Or do you just use a tool to pry it out? That 1 second of video footage could have explained so many important things IMO. Still, thanks very much for the time and patience taken in making this video, it still helped me understand a lot of the basics. Have a great day :)
we will make another detailed one ok :)!
nkuwan You are so well-informed about luxury watches. You've obviously done your due diligence and the comparison to the US is very informative...because of course, I live in New York. thank you very much
Love this !
How can we purchase one?

Hi, Have you ever looked/reviewed Certina DS-Action (Powermatic 80). That is actually a very well built watch
Very cool ! It took you 15 min to do that . Very good job !
Enjoyed the video and seeing your craft!
Great job, but honestly I like it better before the mod. I think the 5kx or skx has a great personality as it is. For me is like mod a Ferrari to look like a Lamborghini. Your work is awsome but for me was great as it was... and to have a submariner like watch, there are so many copies to choose from.
Fake people wears a fake watches!!!
You’re a Genius . I really like the result.
Impressive
Not bad Niko, looks good.
Am American and I find eastern accents and enunciation captivating to listen to. Sapphire is heavily accentuated to sound like Sir- Fire 🔥.
Equally impressive was the step by step transformation of a mundane seiko5 to an award winning Rolex iteration.
Your creativity and resounding command of the English language has earned you a new subscriber.
Blessings from USA.

Ok now I’m somehow attracted to the original rolex cermit, which I wasn’t until now! 🤔
haha me too!!! Even more attracted to it.

Excelente video, How Much for the Watch.
Thank you for sharing idol.
looks super cool
Great video how much did it cost you?
We built it for the video together. I am not exactly sure how much Usman normally charges for one. I assume something around 400-500€. BR Niko
Is the rubber included or do you need to buy it seperate?
wats the green stuff called you used to pick the hands with ??
Отличная работа ! Красивые часы получились .
Looks good.
What wizardry!
I wonder if he could add an AP style bezel to a Tissot PRX Powermatic 80.
Great job
where do you buy the parts for the seiko?
Great job! I see some dust there any ways
Cool 😅
It's not that there's magic in the rolex, only the Rolex 💚
Awesome
I love the rolex chain... How much is it?
Beautiful watch
Awesome video! Where do you buy your parts from?

I also make SEIKO MOD,
I can't clean it like this ...
Respect to you.
Huge fan sir.....huge fan

Ficou muito lindo!!!!!!!!
Well done! Nice job. I try to do the same with Seiko 5 SNZF15K1 but the bezel insert i got was not the right size. Anyway..... Can you show me a link where i can get one bezel insert for my watch? Thank you in advance.
Namokimods, search on google
@@TheDubaiExpat Thank you very much for the time you sped answerig me.
The way he used a screwdriver to pry out the movement made my heart hurt a little bit
I think that is ok as long as u do it lightly, I'm more concerned on how the dial got crushed under the press at 9:43...
@@FlauspidSyalon but dial was a spare part, was not part of this watch so why care?

You are not wrong about modifying watches not being the easiest thing, but can we resolve problems and arguments politely and with manners.
