Feiyu has a great product but I think it is the software holding it back.

Yeah these companies need to learn ignore audio to your own peril.
Could you possibly record audio on the DJI Mic2 to the mic itself and then just add it to the the Feiyutech? Assuming you already on the DJI Mic 2?
@@studioatlanta You can record audio on to the DJI wireless mic and you can sync the audio in post with your Feiyutech footage but you can't add the audio into your Feiyutech itself.

have you had a chance to true the timelapse feature on the Feiyu pocket 3? i am looking at using to put under my embroidery machine to get a cool view of stuff getting done. but most will be done in time lapse, also do you know how long the batt in the gimble head will last filming?
It does shoot time lapses but I haven't really tested it yet I guess I need to do some and see how it performs I'm not sure about the battery how long it lasts either I'll have to look that up I'm sorry I should have been more thorough but.
Do both of them have HDR video?
Fei's having some serious issues with low light, it seems. Also digital zoom is silly. You can digitally zoom post process as much as you want.
I am curious what your settings were and what format you recording in on the DJI? I was on the fence between the 2 and my DJI Pocket 3 videos look WAY better than what you have shown here.
I was shooting auto for both. 4k 24fps.
The sunset behind you looked much better on the FT Pocket 3. While the DJI Pocket 3 exposed for you much better, the background was practically blown out and pretty much blah. I get that DJI has a log mode to address that but it would've been nice to know whether or not the FT also has a log mode to address this shortcoming of both cameras.
I rarely if ever shoot log so I didn't test it and don't know sorry next time I'll check.
Yes, the Feiyu has a log mode called FY Log.
Looked like the Feiyutech had better color and contrast in direct sunlight but any absence of light the DJI blew the Feiyutech away. excellent comparison Larry the Action Cam Man.
Hmm, I'm not really familiar with this; but does it really matter if DJI can record in 10bit D-Log? Because with D-Log you could just colour grade to get the desired results.

How well does the gimbal of the FT Pocket 3 do when attached to the roof or hood of a moving car? It would be interesting to shoot hyperlapses with it and it's so small it would go unnoticed by cops and Karens.

Nice review, however, just one point: based on resolutions the pocket 3 has three zooms: 2X on 4K; 3X on 2.7K, and 4X on 1080p. So it does have 4X digital zoom.😉

Sorry I was going 4k vs 4K I should have specified that. I don't shoot at lower resolutions. I always shoot at the camera's max resolution.
well, digital zooms are mainly for close-ups, b-roll, macro, etc where resolution factors very little not landscapes. Try the fteck 4k vs the dji 1k close up at 4x zoom and see for yourself.@@TodayIFeelLike

Yeah I agree if they had a good internal mic and a good external mic solution they would have a winner.

Dji pocket 3 killed the beauty of sunset. Feiyu tech pocket 3, though poor in lowlights retains the glory of sunset as backgy. DJI exvel in image and audio quality. Feiyu tech excel in wireless video capability.
Dgi pocket sounds wayyy better
