This is a far better one tap shooting experience than even the iPhone. Only thing it lacks now is zoom. Which is better for major events like parades, concerts, stage performance and weddings
Totally agree. I wonder if they can design it similar to their mavic pro with multi lens. Or maybe a magnetic lens that can zoom in.
@@titodomph same. Since they're gonna add an ND filter clip on, maybe they can add a telephoto too. Something around 50mm-120mm would be preferred. But I guess it'll be too heavy for the gimball to hold 😂.

Wow! It mops the floor with the others! I'm honestly a bit surprised how much better it is than the latest, greatest iPhone camera. I mean... electroic image stabilization is 100x better than no image stabilization, but NOTHING BEATS a physical gimbal. Even a little baby one apparently. None of that squishy / wiggle in night shots. I shoot most of the videos on my channel on a DJI 1. The 2 wasn't enough of an upgrade for me to want it. But I can't wait to hop right over the 2 and pick up one of the 3's! Great video.

Pocket 3 in the Low Light setting uses all the power of its new 1" sensor. The otherwise excellent in every aspect GoPro 10 because of the small sensor is rather limited in low light environments. Thank you for your excellent video.

Great video. The overly aggressive noise reduction on the iPhone 15 becomes obvious in some of the shots. I bought the Pocket 3 but will not be replacing my iPhone 13!
I think in daytime you cant beat the convenience of a phone. But the bokeh of OP3 is way nicer than that in iphone cinematic

Impressive performance by the DJI OP3. Footage looked great. I was actually surprised how poor the iPhone 15 did - the quality itself wasn't so bad but the autofocus hunting and stabilization were surprisingly poor compared to other videos I've seen. And the GoPro... well, it's pretty clear it's a daytime only camera. That was just bad...
I also noticed the very poor stabilization of gopro at low light. Surprised that the IPhones stabilization is better than gopro
Actually not surprising as one is on a gimbal. The pro max on a gimbal (fair comparison) gets rid of the jello for the most part and if you do the ninja walk, almost all of it. Comparing sensor size you see how well the iphone does as well. I just bought this so have no need but if i put this up against my Canon 1DX mark 3 and a gimbal it will destroy the pocket. You're comparing apples and oranges as I just did.
I have a zv1 and planning to compare it with this one. I think what most people like me would think is what camera I can use for vlogging that is small, convenient and has the best quality I can afford. I have a dji ronin rs3 mini that I use with my zv1. Before buying it I thought it would be perfect for my type of content (motovlog) until I bought it and realize the bulk and hassle of setting a gimbal and camera. Phone gimbals are much better but still cant compare to the simplicity of the OP3. You also have a wider field of view by default. So a lot of things to factor out but I get your point, if we only consider sensors it’s not fair.
I thought that as well. I think my 14 PM does better than what the 15 did in this video.
In this video the P3 is the winner, but if you put the iPhone on a gimbal it will be as good regarding stabilisation, the focus hunting will stay. But you will have 3 different lenses and a good gimbal is about 1/2 the cost of the P3. The GP is just bad in low light.
Osmo is without any doubt the best. It's like you are actually walking seeing with your own eyes at night. One day all phone cameras will be like this...

Thank you for doing this comparison. Honestly, after a few minutes, the Hero was eliminated totally. I'd love to see a widescreen version over/under of the P3 and the 15 Pro Max together. Also, I have a couple dumb questions:
Why is the audio from the DJI Mic 2 on the left channel (or left heavy)? If you use the dual mics can you get a balanced stereo signal? I assume that the single mic that comes with the creator kit is mono only? Thanks.

you should shot with iphone 15 pro max with gimbal to compare with pocket3. with all jitters in iphone pro max it seems bad but without jitters it is better than pocket 3.

The OP3 is the best of course. Wouldn’t want to waste cash for newer iPhone 15 Pro. Hell even the Intriduction of 15 Pro itself was quiet mess with some problems …

For vlogging where you film handheld and you dont want carry large camera and potentially a gimbal go for OP3, if you dont vlog/travel inwould choose zve10 as that will give me better image quality if you get the right lens.

Imagine if there will be a D-log m update for night mode coming, but guess that’s not going happen, let see in the coming weeks when someone try out lowlight in pro mode and then post editing the whole thing. Interesting too see if it comes out better. I feel there are plenty of room to play round with this little monster.
I dont think dlog will come to lowlight. From my understanding lowlight adds processing like noise reduction and exposure while dlog removes any image processing and leaves that to you in post. So you can do noise reduction, exposure, color correction and grading in post.

The number 1 is definitely the quality you get with the minimalist setup. I dont like bringing and setting up a dedicated gimbal. With OP3 I can literally start recording stabilized high quality and wide video in just 3s!

Thats all auto. Will try making comparison videos with iP15 and maybe the Osmo Action 4 since I just recently got an OA4 for my motovlog.

How are you getting clean images in lowlight mode... on mine i get alot of noise with standard low light mode.
I find it a bit hit and miss sometimes. Sometimes I get very noisy videos as well. Have you tried playing with setting and reducing the value of noise reduction? You can find it in pro settings.

Just a simple metal flat bar with holes.
Why is video at 1:15 reversed horizontally? It makes it look too weird.. Otherwise, great video because it shows everything, unlike other youtuber reviewers that talks a lot but doesn't show a lot of actual clips.

Did you do anything to the color in post or is that the color straight out of the camera? If you didn't do any correction then I am blown away by the color science...you expect the iPhone to have the best color out of the box because it has the most powerful processor and Apple's famous attention to processing...but the OP3 actually looks better. The walk through the parking lot with the deep red pickup truck to the right and the cycling LED lights in the distance and changing light as you walk is AMAZING. The colors look so good. The dynamic range is also pretty good. You can tell the iPhone is squeezing as mucj as it can from the smaller sensor but it's just not enough and I'm having a hard time seeing noise inost of the footage. The blacks are prefect...not too crushed but perfectly tamed. I need this thing.
I intentionally did not change any color in post. The only thing I changed was to lower audio in a few part which I have labeled. But everything is straight from camera on these 3 devices.
The P3 is better in lowlight - the 15 has flickering and there is lens flare dots. I may buy a P3, but Im hanging on to see what Googles 'Video Boost' service is like, if its good then a Google Pixel 8 Pro makes more sense for me because of the zoom lens.

No doubt those footage are the best … and the low light videos are just awesome.. But It has a movable screen .. And How many opening/closing cycle will it perform or last?? what if it breaks ??
If you're actually worried about it, you don't have to rotate the screen at all. You can still shoot in both portrait and landscape without rotating the screen. You don't need to rotate the screen to turn it on either. See how simple that was?
I dont think that would break easily. Just think of mirrorless cameras with flip screen, flip and folding phones, etc. But @DerrickW30 is right, you can operate the camera without rotating the screen

To he fair...this test shows the best case vs the non-gimbals. I bet the iPhone might win out if they were both on a tripod instead of walking...the digital stabilization hurts the image. The GP10 doesn't even belong in this test. It's garbage in low light. I wish you jad a GP12 to compare but I suspect it would still be bad.
You might be right if they are both in tripod. Unfortunately I only have the GoPro Hero 10, but still added it in there in case someone from hero 10 thinking of getting OP3.
Yeah, I don't think so. Colors on the iPhone are bad, too cartoonish, and the excessive HDR looks too artificial. Sorry. In fact, quality on the iPhone is very smartphone-ish quality, and quality on the Pocket 3, it really looks like a REAL camera. Also, almost NOBODY carries with an unpocketable gigantic gimbal for the iPhone, so in real life, this comparison is perfectly fine and very realistic. Sorry again.
I had a moza gimbal and i wasnt using it because of the bulk and the additional steps I have to do to shoot. You will definitely miss moments with those kind of setups.
The lazy engineers at GoPro removed the "Low light Feature" built into the Go Pro 8 which looks better than the GP 9 &.10
GoPro really needs to innovate to compete with dji ang insta. We are getting almost the same gopro each release. I wonder if the 1” sensor is so big at the moment which is why no one has come up with a 1” sensor action camera. I wouldnt mind a slighly bigger action camera for a bigger sensor tbh

Thanks for the great comparison. Yesterday I also made a comparison at home as it is, so it's not as nice as your city footage with lightning and fireworks. But I compared with the Sony alpha 7SIII and ZV-1 so FF vs. 1''. The Pocket 3 makes a very good impression, but the a7SIII is a lot better when it's very dark, which is what it should be:

If we are only comparing the image quality. Take into consideration the setup time, weight and size for a travel vlog. For me the OP3 is the beet compromise between quality and ease of use. But thats just me, we all have our own set of requirements.
Not really, the pocket is small with a gimbal already. Putting a phone (or at that size could even be a small mirrorless) on a gimbal will take a lot of space/weight/visibility. Not everyone want to be noticed while filming...
Totally agree. Some people tend to raise their walls when they see a “professional camera”, with smaller action cameras and osmo pocket, it looks like a toy and random people you meet wont have problems being filmed.
This is not 4K, it is not possible to read the license plate of any car !!!!! Shutter speed on a moving camera must be at least 1/200. Is such a video made for beginners who don't understand anything!!!!!

Hahaha i have to show gopro so you guys can appreciate the OP3. IPhone 15 pro is great if you dont mind bringing and setting up a mobile gimbal. But you wont get the wide angle view that you get from OP3, unless you use the iPhones wide lens which is crap. But for daylight I think the convenience of iPhone is unmatched. The stabilization of iP is also great
Man I wanna love the footage but the details are super sharp and the noise is ugly. The iphone is the best out of the 3, then the osmo , the Hero is a joke.
Actually you can now set the sharpness to -2 (0 by default). There are times that I actually prefer the iphone. But the stabilization and the wide angle view on OP3 is great. If I switch to .5 lens on iPhone quality will significantly drop. And yes, gopro is a joke 🤣
too bad it is not water proof and too bad it is only good for walking, i can not wait for next year action 5 camera will have one inch sensor!!!

DJI pocket 3 is a mess. It’s not user friendly. It’s definitely not compatible with iOS when it comes to DJI app.

Mine worked great with the iPhone also. No errors, no problems. Easy to use. I would suspect user error if you have trouble.
