"I'm Asian but this Asian dont do Asian"
lmao
My god do I hate bananas like that.
XD that expression
That was an exceptionally accurate statement.
@@angeliquewu8318 Not sure if Banana is correct as she seems to be more of an Oompa Loompa on the inside.
@@battlebeard2041 LMAO
I just can't get over Veronica's Matcha roll cake, they look so perfect like the ones taken straight out those anime shows😭😭😭
It's beautiful
I want to eat it
And being able to do it in an hour, she 100% deserved to win the mystery box.
Eric, Jeremy, Veronica, and others bringing their cultural roots to the show is great, but I was the most impressed with Jen's carpaccio. The fact that she made an Italian dish but made it feel very authentically Asian with the presentation was some quick genius thinking.
Delete your comment it's offensive
@@ITrzstNoOne Ahaha. I'm sorry but this isn't how the world works.
If you are offended by an Asian (me) appreciating an outsider for making an attempt at understanding my culture, please feel free to report my comment as racist to CZcams.
I appreciate Jeremy making Southeast Asian dishes and showing the judges something different
Yaa yaaa parla mangka jungka miya purlagkapata kkum tuu yang kung sekk mek pung tung kkung stung piutng paat tta pwaaa
They're all soo talented but Veronica is truly a genius sometimes
Fr, I honestly thought she would win.
She’s really on another level, honestly the majority of season 3 seems on a higher level than the contestants on the other seasons
@@aureum7479 same with season 2
i know right! shes one of my favourites
@@ITrzstNoOne what's your problem with what i said?
sorry, but Asian food is the best. It's not pretentious, not trying so hard to be fancy, just bold and amazing flavors. It's using what the earth provided to us to the best of its ability
Not pretentious?! An endless list of spices even in easiest dishes, insane amount of sauses, insane cost of ingredients and a lot of them are hard to obtain. No, sir, it is too much
Depends on ones tastebuds or what you have grown up.
@@hollowed4306 Tell me you don't know the difference between pretentious & just not found in your area, without telling me 😭 If your kitchen isn't set up for Asian cuisine, of course it's going to be expensive - it's the same as having to go out and buy herbs & spices for Italian? LMAO
@@faebourne exactly, my chinese grandmother has no problem cooking chinese food everyday because she lives in china and has easy access to those ingredients but if you ask her to cook an italian meal, she’d be trying to source those ingredients for weeks.
You cheated those words from one of the chefs
veronica’s matcha roll was amazing
Eric has set himself into the books of masterchef that he gets a section for himself
Veronica is a literally a genius when it comes to cooking
I can’t stop laughing whenever the judges just stare deep into the contestants eyes whenever they are trying out their food.
I can definitely tell that Alvin really believed in Eric and he came a long way!
Keep it simple. That’s my advice. Growing up with a single dad that cooked every day for me and my two siblings. One of our favorites stir-fry’s he would make would be a protein with whatever veggies we had in our fridge. I would always ask him “how do you make it taste like that” he then would explain the different ingredients he used for the different taste they gave us. The basics first was salt, pepper, and sugar. The traditional ones were fish sauce, soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, oyster sauce, shrimp paste, crab paste, and the curries. Dad being a Lao national and mom being Vietnamese, Chinese, and Thai our palettes had a very wide range. Me and my siblings are now in our mid 30’s with families of our own, our kids love it when we cook.
9:28 “why did you hold back?”
Because you’re white, chef
thats what i was thinking. They would have blamed him about the heat if he went all in
😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
It's scary giving white people spice
That last comment by Veronica is key. Having your father be proud of you in an Asian culture is by far the best thing in the world because Asian fathers are notorious for being hard to please.
Your here Jeremy and your cooking our Filipino food, proud Filipino here. I love sisig my favorite
I really respect Chef Michael's vocabulary when it comes to food.
That red mullet carpaccio was one of the most innovative dishes I have seen in MC, never would have connected a unique fish like red mullet with a carpaccio.
Can't get over Shawn's and Jeremy's perfect sync at 7:53
Lmao same
Now you know Veronica was ready to fight at 17:55 😅
I'm so glad they made Filipino food ❤
Why?
@@russell2890 because they obviously enjoy Filipino food. Tf u mean why ?
I am a filipino and I love sisig. All kinds of sisig--pork, beef and chicken! My, my, my!!!!
I love how Asian dishes literally have SO much flavor...they show salt and pepper are just a grain of sand among all the spices and ingredients you can get from Asian food
This show's editing is just phenomenal
Judge's compliments give me goosebumps💯
Jeremy is a very handsome and gentle person
You can see Jennifer looked disgusted when Chef Alvin offered her to eat the fish's eyeball but she had to do it to honor him
she didnt , she was happy to be honored
@@knlei1 haha...I saw her disgusted look too. She did everything she could to hide it. She knew that it was an honor so she took Alvin's offering and gave the biggest smile she could muster but her reaction was the same as mine would be. I'd love to try eating a fish eye and I know its considered a delicacy but its not something westerners eat much of so the initial thought of being offered it wouldn't necessarily be one most westerners would jump at even knowing Asians would jump at the chance.
@@robrochon1034 we love fish eyes, specially a fish head fried whole, yumm
1:19 YOU MUST STIR A STIR FRY. STIR STIR STIR
Damn didnt know that
Neither did I lol 😂
Linn is that kid in the class who knows she's gonna pass with A+ grade but still pretends to be the dumb one.
I love Veronica's happiness and her little cackle she does when her matcha roll cake turns out well 😂😂
Veronica's matcha roll was 💯
Asian food is the best. So much depth of flavor
As an Asian and on behalf of all Asians I apologise for Debra
Mfs always say "I have no idea what I'm doing, I've never made ______"
Then present a michelin-starred dish 🤣
Claudio: "first times the charm..... wish it was like that with the ladies".
I love Line so much, she sparks me as so bubbly and kind. I love her gotta say
...so much innovation with Adobo ...which is one of the signature dishes in the Philippines... congratulations!... however, typical pork & chicken adobo in the Philippines is exemptional and superb :-)
Andrews beef looked so perfect and neat. Like a neat Asian gentleman.
id be jumping around too for that roll cake
Is it me or is Eric Chong dishes gonna make up the majority of this video.
not reaally but it would make sense, he do be the main character😎
Eric and Veronica, most definitely
this food looks amazing!!!
That japanese matcha cake is simply legendary
My heart sinks when Jeremy crushed those amazing uni gonads
I love how nice everyone is on master chief Canada
That matcha roll cake make my mouth water
Presentation is beautiful
1:44 Yeah, so does everyone else Line
Love the EAST asian representation, I’ll just move my brown self to some other place 😍
I mean Jeremy is Filipino so south East Asian. But I agree. South and west Asia are always undervalued and underrepresented
i've seen a lot of really good indian inspired dishes on master chef im not sure why they didn't put them
So yummy, I feel hungry
Season 3 is the best Season of Masterchef Canada, by far.
R.I.P Jon (2021)
Indeed the best Asian foods
The judge ate this in the wrong way. You should put it on a spoon, gently put a little hole on the skin and drink the soup inside, then eat the whole at the end...
It bothers me that Veronica just accepts the praise for her Xiaolongbao. She should know that you shouldn’t be able to poke it with a fork and pick it up like that without soup leaking out if it’s truly Xiaolongbao. These judges except for Chef Alvin don’t have the knowledge base to properly judge this food and it shows in their praise for the dumpling.
Jeremy made me proud as a filipino💕💖
Is it just me, or is that The Nightmare Before Christmas "This is Halloween" theme starting up @ 13:30 , lmao.
@22:00 what kinda jacket is Chef Claudio wearing? Looks really cool!
Indian shervani jacket
Inagine eric's grandfather had passed on and the judges told him to tell his grandfather when they meets again. That would be heaven aint it
Love from Philippines
No idea what is singapore rice even tho im from singapore
imagine going up to your grandfather and telling him «you should be proud of me»
line: “I cook by taste”
*mb I thought you eat with food*
😂😂😂
@7:29 MOLECULAR GASTRONOMY!!!!
"Whatever the outcome... you need to cook."
~The Wife
Veronica vs Jeremy would have the best finale ever
ASIAN FOOD IS SOOOO🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yeah they are pretty spicy.
4:53 “feels good man.jpeg”
Veronica just gets it
Uhh what exactly is Singapore style rice? I've never heard of it after so many years in Singapore
what's singapore-style rice? I live in Singapore but I'm not too sure what's that
I’m so hungry now 😩
Hello chào bạn cùng thi chế biến món ăn mọi người thành công nhé
I don’t think she wanted to eat the fish eye 😂 34:00
Some people may argue, but for some fishes the most delicous part is the lips. Many kinds of fresh water fishes cling there mouth into the stone in order to sleep or prevent itself for being washed away by the stream , which is why their lips are so firm, has no fat and are super tasty
Zemeckis feels like the move
I find it odd that Claudio asked why Jeremy didn't add more spice to his dish when he coughed from half of a Scotch bonnet in Season 1.
Singaporeans: Singapore rice ?? 🤔
Ikr XD
*proceeds to ask hawker uncle/makcik if they heard of Singapore rice*
I thought you weren’t supposed tonest bamboo sprouts raw? They write it on all the packages here😂
It's edible grass. You can do whatever you want
Yummy delicious food
I am a singaporean.
WTF is SPICY SINGAPORE-STYLE RICE? HELLO??
daaamn she ate the eyeball 😳
Asians like me be like: USE A RICE COOKER
So true 🤣🤣🤣
cue twinkle twinkle little star iykyk
5:58 sizzling sisig pare
Debra is adorable
Being shanghainese i can confidently say she absolutely butchered the soup dumpling
What episode is it where Jeremy and his team made the pigs head and the other guy and his team made the fish head. Where chef Claudio says "Filipino soul food"
ah yes, when Asia = only East and South East Asia
Season 5 and 4 had a lot of middle east asian flavors. Should've added more.
Asia in colloquial american is that in pop culture. South asian is indian. And west asian is middle eastern
Us Cambodians get left out all the time, along with Hmong and Laotian. They mainly just throw out Thai or Viet food, which is mainly watered down version of Phad Thai and Pho. Throw in coconut milk, curry, or lemongrass, and it's "Asian" 😂
"to make a good stir fry, its in the name. you need to blablabla so it fries nicely and then stir stir stir"
is that why its called a stir fry?
the judges always have the most simplest commentary here lol
that roll cake maaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
@MasterChef World Is there a Junior Master chef in Canada?
I spend a month at a time driving a truck all over the country. Most of what I eat is whatever I can find a truck stop or whatever I can cram into my mini fridge.
Why do I watch cooking videos all the time? Because I like to suffer. That's why.
As a singaporean, what is spicy singapore noodles...???
It’s so funny to hear them say “basmaaaa-ti” when it is pronounced “baas-muh-ti”
Early gang right here
No one gives af
Bruh Debra's parents are gonna chase her down.
Where is Eric Thai crab dish
As a Singaporean there is no such thing as Singapore rice or noodles
An asian made "orange chicken" stir fry lmao
im so horribly sorry but "Eric, we need to cook"
High class xiaolongbao should contain a lot of soup yet have very thin skin.
The size of hers was impressive, but the skin looked dry to me, and there was no soup.
Was still an impressive feat in the time alotted
I relate to the girl who said “This Asian don’t |do Asian”
sad😭 asian food is the best
