  • Just my opinion on the Notch gecko Carbon fiber spikes. good the bad just my honest opinion of them.
update 1 year later: I still am not a fan of these I feel there is a lot better options on the market especially for the price. I'm still surprised at how light they really are but I think you guys can find better options out there. I don't know what yalls thoughts may be but the only thing I could come up with is the carbon fiber has to much flex and pinpoints the pressure on a centralized spot versus spreading out your weight ??

Great Review, was thinking about getting em but I do love my big Buckingham Velcro pads just not the heaviness of the steel spikes, Thank you.

Right! For expensive spurs I rather have them fancy titaniums! Haha

forsure! ya to be honest i basically have hung these up maybe its just me but for the price i find them lets say lacking. just the other day i was going to give them another chance, 1 palm tree removal which is about 15 minutes was already uncomfortable with the pressure point on the shin.

If you’re going from bucking ham to gecko you’re definitely gonna feel a difference but you’ll get used to them and probably never go back. I don’t have the carbon fiber but I do know that the carbon fiber have nicer pads than the aluminum.

I received them as winner on a holiday give away from Sherrilltree. love the light set up but i also am getting blisters from these $830 dollar spurs. I am looking to modify the padding for better results. if you got any suggestions please share. thanks

I wish I had some good ideas but I have not had any luck. I pretty much just wear my trusty buckinghams with the big buck pads still. I will wear the carbon if I’m only going to be in them for less than a hour. If you find something out to Id love to know more want to like them so bad but they just keep disappointing me ha!

@Michael Bouwer i seen a video and have been talking to a guy about modifying them with the Eldredge pads. there is a video where he compares 3 different spurs and said that he modified the carbon gecko pads withe the Eldredge ones. im just waiting on the info.
