How to make a Miniature Tree House for a House Plant, using Popsicle Sticks and Corrugated Carton

Always wanted to live in a tree house! Here's to manifesting one. :)
We made this mini tree house using materials that you can find at home or can get easily. You can spend a blissful afternoon on a weekend, with this popsicle craft project. You will need:
- Hot glue gun
- Ice cream / popsicle sticks
- Corrugated cardboard / old carton
- Wooden skewers
- 4 wooden chopsticks
- 10 inches of thin rope
- A house plant
1. Start by drawing the outline of the house on cardboard. You can make it as small or big as you like. We have made the base of the house 5cm by 4 cm.
2. Cut the house shape from cardboard. Cut out windows and a door using a craft knife.
3. Fold into a house shape and stick.
4. Cut popsicle sticks into thinner pieces of width 2 to 4 mm. They can be roughly cut for a realistic look. Using a hot glue gun, attach the popsicle stick pieces onto the house to cover the walls.
5. Cut out a piece of cardboard for the roof as shown. Cover the roof with popsicle stick pieces.
6. Add details like window sills and awnings, using small cut pieces of popsicle sticks.
7. Attach the roof to the house.
8. Cut a piece of cardboard for the base of the house. Cover it with popsicle sticks.
9. Cut pieces of wooden skewers of about 0.75 cm height. Stick them along the edge of the base. Attach rope on top to make a railing.
10. Use 4 wooden chopsticks for stilts. Cut 4 pieces of cardboard about 3 cm square. Cut a 'H' shape in each piece with a craft knife.
Insert the chopsticks into the H-shaped slot. Add hot glue to secure it.
Attach the 4 stilts under the base of the house.
11. Add finishing touches, like a ladder.
12. Carefully fit the house among the branches of a house plant, and insert the chopsticks about 2 inches deep in the soil. Your Mini Tree House is ready!
