2:48 Opie begins telling a story about something that didn't happen. Notice he had to change his story part way through from his son went to sleep with him and his wife to how Opie was sleeping in the other room when his son came in to sleep with him. This is such an easy lie to spot.

regarding bigfoot: not that i believe that there is a real sasquatch out there, but why are people afraid of this fictitious creature. What portrayals of bigfoot make it out to be scary, threatening, violent? Maybe a Yeti is violent, but every bigfoot piece is a blurry 5 second shot of the creature running away. It has the flight sense of a deer.

Opie's obsession with being allowed to record reaction videos seems like another stop in a long line of stops in his quest for a viral video. Watching them watching a movie is almost as exciting as listening to them watch a movie trailer.

The nun is a cool character visually, but the nun movie was really mediocre.
I prefer the second one as well, but mostly because I like the English family/setting better. I really felt for that single mother way more than the parents in the first one.

Whether this is a true story or not, the most annoying part is Opie's inability to speak on-air without dragging saliva from his throat with his c & k sounds and spitting it out with his p & f sounds.
It was so terribly told and unfunny that it had to be true.

@bootsmcgee69 Most modern horror movies use this formula, so that's a pretty empty criticism. Everything else about the movie (and series) is well done. The acting, special effects, pacing, etc. is very refined. The movies are concise and build a scary atmosphere with minimal time. They're not as good as older horror movies, sure, but there's not that much great horror these years. For a mainstream, big-budget horror movie series, you really can't do much better.

One indication that it isn't a product of my functioning being suppressed (as it has been artificially and technologically for over 12 and a half years now, aside from a few instances in which it was instantly switched off along with all physical symptoms at the moment that a massive breath of air rushed into my lungs out of nowhere) that I don't react to these kind of things with the fear that these effeminates do is that I just responded with the same horror they do to the Conjuring trailer to winding up seeing pictures online of a fat woman in a thong.

The Conjuring was so bland, that it seemed like it started as a spoof movie. Lay out the most generic, flat ghost movie template possible, then use that as a starting point to begin writing a parody.
