I love Dacia! I bought a Dacia Sandero Stepway (facelift) from 2017 6 months ago and has everything i need. Dab, camera, sensors, navi, nice soundsystem, cruise control etc. I love the new Duster it looks so rugged,

It was noisy at times at high speed but then again for the price point and level, it is a lot better.
I do wonder how much would it cost for service maintenance if under warranty or if warranty is expired. And of course, how would it perform in cold weather in Finland for instance. Gotta wait for winter 2024.
Finally, any plans to test Ford Explorer EV and KGM Torres EGX EV? I'm not sure if KGM's forthcoming EV would be available in many countries in Europe.

I live in a hilly area, where I have to descend downhill for about 1 kilometer to reach my house. My Renault Megane Electric in B mode makes it much safer to descend the steep road and simultaneously charges during my drive. B mode has also made it easier to drive in snow, especially while going downhill.
It's the second video w/ Duster 2024 that confirms the fact that noise insulation is almost none !
I think sound insulation is much better then before 👍 Not sure how you take this conclusion…
@@SDADanCars French journalists have pointed out that the car is noisy when you drive around 100km/h and more due to aerodinamic noises and poor insulation.
Well there need to be compromises, otherwise the car wouldn't be that cheap.

There is no sound insulation in Suzuki, Mitsubishi and Toyota as well and they are 10-15 k euro more expensive than Duster. Why is it so?

Can you silence those notifications without disabling the systems themselves? Also, can you silence the nav? I saw another test drive where someone said that even if he muted the nav, the voice continued to be heard.
@SDADanCars what do you think how much off road is possible with the full hybrid version?
I have some experience with previous generation with 1.0 LPG and results was very poor - 1 liter 3 cylinder engine over the driven axle is too lightweight for good traction on grass or wet gravel or soil. This hybrid has heavier powertrain over the front axle, but has some additional weight behind the rear axle, so wet climb ability IMHO will be probably same as on previous 1.0 LPG version, even on A/T tires.

Yes, all switches, even the switches on the steering wheel and the switches for the windows in the arm rest, are with backlights.

Hard to say … Toyota is more expensive and of course have more experience with hybrid system …

Thank You for very nice POV test drive. Now, the Duster is very good car, it is clearly visible very big step forward. I'm very curious for EuroNCAP results of passive safety. Previous generation reached only 71%/66%, it is very low rating. I hope, this new generation will reach 85%/80%.
I have a 2015 Renault Duster. I just love this car, I can see it's still the same car on the 2024 version, way improved interior and tech stuff. 1.3 TCe engine is sold on my Country with 170hp

Thanks for review. I was sitting in car in Our Baltic car show. But I not comfortably in the driver seat. Because with my 1.90 m height, not enought leg support. About 10 cm are missing.

At 35:20 you told the consumption is 5.8, you find it quite good, i find it a bit too high as you drive very peacefully, never up to 130 km/h. Most of time on the motorway you were around 100 km/h.
That's disapointing. I was expecting this average for an average speed of 130 km/h.

Anyone know at what speed the motor switches from electric to petrol?
I believe this is the same engine as in the Jogger hybrid. If so there isn’t a set speed when the petrol engine takes over. The electric motor cuts in and out depending on how the computer is managing the car. I’ve been running on purely electric power at 70 mph, admittedly not for very far. I hope this helps.

Hi 👋 This model in video the Hybrid model have 4 pistons and a bigger engine. But the 4x4 and 4x2 the car have 1.2l 3 pistons 👍

Si c'est comme le Jogger, le mode B reste très léger sur le freinage régénérateur. Mais utiliser avec anticipation, il permet de très peu utiliser les freins

Don't think Dacia do ACC. The current 2023 model is just cruise control so i imagine 2024 model the same.

All good but that noise at higher speeds is unbearable. Good car for intown but not so for motorways. On another note the price is very close to that of the new Toyota CHR hybrid 1.8 lt, so not really a bargain.

I love my current Duster Journey but hate hate hate the automatic keyless entry! I tried turning it off but the car still unlocks the boot when the key pad is near, so not secure at all - anyone could climb in through the boot. I much prefer a proper key and ignition. It's all getting too complicated. I have to remember to put my key in a Faraday box at home. I would also like to see a proper spare wheel well again instead of the awkward cage underneath the car. That aside, I love my current Duster and am looking forward to buying the new 4x4 version. Thank goodness for petrol engines - I would go for mild hybrid only.
'B' mode isn't for charging battery or for regenerate, please read manual before You start to use this mode. This mode is for breaking with engine eg. when You traveling in mountain and drive down.
No it’s not, B mode in this Renault setup is for increased regeneration. I have this system and have read the manual. It’s not the same as a Toyota.
I have a jogger with the same hybrid implementation and the B mode is effectively recharging the battery. It use the main electric motor to perform regenerative braking.
And if the battery is full then he will use the engine to break

5.8l and it seems exactly how i Drive my Seat Leon 1.5 eTSI which is Mild Hybrid and the fuel consumption in my case is exactly the same...
Can't really compare those two car's. The aerodynamic of the Duster does not favour fuel consumption 😅

It's a HEV which can switch between parallel (ice and electric) or serial mode (only the Ice or only the electric)
guys actually i don't like dacia totally but that new design is unbelievable for a dacia-renault group and also dacia getting better than renault what's going on about that situation dacia has better cockpit dacia has better and smooth steering wheel as you see most easy acces to buttons i guess renault makes both cars in same factory but new dacias are better than new renaults about price , relaiblty , movement completly same engineers made both cars but new dusters looks a little bit more attractive

@@Nuke777777 sorry for not answering earlier. I've had a duster (first) and a Lodgy (now). The duster was so underpowered it could barely drive uphill, also a lot of cheap materials and poor quality. The Lodgy now is better ( it's a step way version) but it's still an uncomfortable ride. I only took the Dacia's because I couldn't afford anything else in the past. Now that I'm able to spend more I'm taking the Skoda Scala 2024 facelift. The test drive was so good. Compared to the Dacia, it was like driving an Aston Martin or a Lamborghini. If you are able to spend some more, you could get a Skoda,Volkswagen or Hyundai which are just so much better in driving comfort and better material quality.

Found the Mazda cx-30 for the same price. Felt in love with its bigger brother the cx-5 😂 and yea.. waiting on delivery now haha

B mode is for additional breaking using internal combustion engine.
It's not recommended to stress the gearbox and engine unless you need it. Like for example you are descending a mountain and don't want to risk overheating the breaks. For other occasions better consume the breaks than gearbox and engine.
B mode is for stronger recuperation from electric motor & has NOTHING in common with the ICE... Please, next time do your homework or you'll look stupid again
This usually the case for Toyota hybrids

I always drive in B mode on my jogger hybrid and after 23000km there's no sign of stress on the gearbox

Hard to justify such an investment for a commodity that makes you lose money since the first day and doesnt make any significant improvement from cars 15 or 20 years old.

It's very sad to see Dacia destroy their cars with these ugly screens, one of the attractions to Dacia was cost and simplicity but they are loosing the run of themselves by trying to be like the rest.... this is sad to see, I detest big infotainment screens and digital instrument clusters.
Not only this but the Auto industry will come to regret this massive distraction in cars because who thinks being allowed and encouraged to scroll through menus, spotify playlists and podcasts while driving is actually good, it's certainly not progress. Even the digital instrument clusters have many menus and customisations that you can access while driving is absolutely insanity.
Here in Ireland there is a big increase in road deaths and I can only imagine it's as a result of more and more in car entertainment, cars are meant to get people safely from A to B while people are looking at the road and not the screen endangering lives.
It's time the auto industry recognise this is a very very bad and dangerous move.
