FILM DESCRIPTION:
After a series of murders bearing all the markings of the Jigsaw killer, law enforcement officials find themselves chasing the ghost of a man who has been dead for over a decade, and they become embroiled in a new game that's only just begun. Truth be told, this is one of the most straightforward choices. His leg is amputated below the knee (makes prosthetics easier to work with), and your lower leg is probably the least sucky of all body parts to lose due to how relatively easy it is to replace.

I like how they're supposed to be in this ultra terrifying situation yet no one is crying. As opposed to every previous SAW film where everyone involved is realistically hysterical.

You know, as weird as it is for Jigsaw to stop filling the silo with grain, and switch to sharp objects, it actually makes sense for two reasons: 1. It gives Ryan more time to make his choice, as there's no way he'd be able to dig them out in time before they suffocated (and technically having your chest buried enough can kill you anyway if your lungs can't expand, even if your head is free). 2. Jigsaw just said they'd be _buried alive_ he didn't say that was what he was going to have _kill_ them.
I wanna see a saw movie where the protagonist is super smart and gets out of each trap easily

What Ryan can do without losing his leg was using a shovel, or a rake to break the wheels turning the wires around his leg. If he saved the acid from the last game in the room, he can use it to melt the wires to leave his leg in one piece, and even though he used the acid on Carly, he can still use a tool to break the wheels that trap his leg. And even it doesn't work, it's better then losing you're one leg for the rest of the tests.
The acid wouldn't be strong enough to dissolve the galvanized wires, and John would have made the mechanism durable enough to resist being broken and powerful enough to break the old shovel easily.
Respect for Ryan sacrificing his leg 👏👏👏👏

There was a similar scene in the movie "WITNESS" (1985) expect there were no sharp implements fired down the silo.
I don't think knives have a heavy enough blade to 100% fall straight forward
Horror logic:the most deadly parts doesn't target the humans
They can literally just grab the circular saw and put it on top of their head and then pick up the pitchfork to swing around their head while you wait for it to run out. Do you really believe Jigsaw keeps that many sharp objects in that shack, maybe but at least it helps protecting yourself.

This is one of the absolute worst traps in the whole franchise
Not really honestly, the freezer from saw 3, saw 3d in its entirety, the reverse bear trap, the one that rips out your ribs, one that slowly twists all of your limbs

When you see a cgi corpse get torn apart it's like meh.
But when you see a fully functioning fake cadaver get split open. Ripped apart. You feel something. Your mind is tricked into thinking that you just watched a real person get butchered.
It would probably be too difficult to have it fall into three pieces and still stay in the frame.

The best way to survive this trap would be to bury yourself 2-3 feet underneath the grain so that way the blades don't hit you as they're falling. While underneath conserve your oxygen by inhaling and exhaling slowly. Never in any circumstances panic since it causes you to hyperventilate which thins your rate of survival. As for the one pulling the lever, he will have to make this sacrifice in order to set them free. This is why you should ALWAYS watch your step. It's unfortunate for him but being in this situation inside the grain trap with blades falling which can potentially kill you, this is honestly the best way to survive that.
