I think the Swordsoul pack was the last pack with decent rates/pulls, even since then they increased the number of URs in packs and seemingly decreased they rates of pulling them.
Kinda absurd how most new archetypes have all their cards be URs. Dinomorphia is probably the most expensive deck right now.
Beginning of turmoil was good. I got 18-20 urs for 6k gems
It seemed to be like that, since despia support, guardian chimera and branded fusion were absurd to be UR, and komoney is not going back
I got awful luck on the scareclaw pack (10k gems and I'm still missing 8 cards)
but then, really decent pulls on the runick pack (6k and I'm only missing 3)
now I'm scared of pulling for circular/linkage when splight is just around the corner

This extremely limited UR gacha has been happening since the pre-Swordsouls patch, its fine on the first three thousand gems on new accounts but older the account less UR;s you get.
honestly this is true. also can I just say gettin 4 cards "out of pack" u spending gems on really sucks especially when your UR gets wasted on it.
Hasn't happened to međ€·ââïž last pack I got 20 URs with 10k gems. I usually average 3-5 URs a 10 pull since I started player master duel
I'd argue that it's just as bad with new accounts. I've noticed that when new accounts open gems they usually open to nothing but urs that are not specific for the pack your trying to open.
This is highly illegal and a large company like Konami would never try something like that, if anyone ever found out via extensive testing or getting access to the source code it would be an instant lawsuit.

I have definitely noticed a decrease in URs. Iâm averaging 1-2 max per 10 pack. I havenât gotten more than 3 in a 10 pack in over two months. Theyâre definitely screwing with the probabilities. They were already incredibly low. That was my theory, that MD is losing players so theyâre getting desperate to make money.
MD gem prices are outrageous, really scammy

Absolute scummy pricing. When a box of Amazing Defenders is ~$62. When 49"50" gems is $80; you know something is wrong.

I'm a f2p player and noticed how little gems you make now and how bad the pulls are. The amount of 10 pack pulls we're getting with no URs is ridiculous

Started playing master duel a month ago. Averaging 1.4 ultra rares per 10 packs and almost always the ones Iâm not looking for in the secret pack. Never spending money on this game lol. If I did, with this luck, Iâd be spending roughly $1000-$1300 per deck with 600 ultra rare points lol. Itâs a bad joke

I think it's more so the fact they are diluting the UR pool with so many more cards in the slot, that the ones you want are getting harder and harder to pull.

That's not necessarily true... Every product has a optimal price on the economic supply curve, where sales price x sales volume = maximum profit. I bet the current prices are already their optimal price, so the reality is the only way we get cheaper gems is if people stop buying them.

The game wants you to spend more than what you are having in order to get the desired cards, in Duel Links it's even worse. It's infuriating how they take advantage of the players like this, and by âadvantageâ I mean how they want to seduce you into thinking you're getting your deck but you get nothing instead.

7:00 that means that its almost 80 bucks for any UR you want, (3 URs) its literally cheaper to buy cards IRl, and they are even worth more because you can sell them if you dont need them anymore, where if you uninstall master duel, your left with nothing.

@@TomSNC i remember back in the day where for the price of 1 UR in master duel, you could buy a full game for your ds with all the meta cards and online pvp and an entire story mode as well, what a steal compared to now where you get 1 virtual card instead thats worth nothing.
@@TomSNC The game is free to play and solo mode lets you make, usually, 2 full decks. It really depends how you look at it. It definitely punishes committing too hard to 1 account right now though.

At like the 1st 6 month of md I used to get 6 URs from a 10 pack pull but starting from the newborn dragons literally been spending more than 6k gems and keep getting 0-3 ur max per pack they actually did decrease the chance of getting UR and literally making decks like libro, therion ,valantyz, scareclaw very expensive and they are not gonna even be top tier they need to fix this
Always feel like the secret packs are worse because they have a larger card pool at least with the selection pack if you get the same UR can still dismantle
Even tho it's only the beginning of the year, master duel 2023 is off to a crappy start
I just showed my friend this video who regularly spends on duel packs, he is demotivated from buying packs because while he's suspected it, he thought it was bad luck. This video has basically made him stop spending all together, so thanks Komoney, you value your pockets more than your player base and now your regular payers have stopped buying.
I had basically the same luck...the pull rates are super trash for URs. It's ridiculous that you have to pay that much money and get only half or what you need. If you could use your CP from other cards to make URs it would help.
Fun part is even among URs, I get the same UR over and over. And not one I even need.

The pack with Labrynth also had Appolusa and I got like 7 or 8 of that fucking card that I already had and never played more than 1 of in any deck. I totally believe that they are screwing us over with those rates.

The animations mean nothing as far as SR/UR goes. Only blue/rainbow glow is guaranteed UR. Yellow glow ironically doesn't even guarantee an SR, just a higher chance for SR. And small chance for a UR. But when there's no glow, and it does the animation and turns into a yellow glow, a good amount of the time it doesn't give u anything. Weird system.
And yea I'm pretty convinced that new selection packs have lower UR drop rates. Usually only get 1-3 UR per pull. Actually seem to have a higher UR rate for secret packs.
At least Dkayed got the UR he wants.

My first pull with this pack was amazing, my second had no UR, third had 1 and my 4th was pretty good. It's certainly interesting.
Honestly feels like I'm better off buying secret packs with high UR drop rates, dismantling, and then crafting the new cards.

After my last pulls, ya the game isn't getting any more money from me, except maybe for the bundles, or structure decks, but they have to be good. If it's like the Photon deck then no it's not worth my time.

when you buy 10 packs you should always get at least 1 UR and it should be possible to turn SR/R/N into higher raritys. â€đ
I decided to pay for gems because I wanted therions and Vendread badly. 4K in gems and 2 of my 10 packs had 0 URs. very disheartening

Well, this made me feel better about my rolls. In my case, I did 8-ten rolls for Math and Striker and got eight out of the pack URs and, of course, one no UR ten-roll just as I ran out of gems.
Getting no URs in my last 10 pull has happened too many times for it to be coincidence

Yeah, i once saved 6k gems and i didn't get enough for a deck (it was the labyrinth deck)
Despite tear(laments) 0, my friends went to tcg because master duel is just too hard to get cards and build decks

Pulled damn close to 100 packs of Heroic to get Therions for my earth machines with saved up gems. About half of those 10 pack bundles had no URs, and none of the other bundles had more than 2 URs, if even that.

I doubt they did anything to the algorithm in the updates, but I would not be surprised if there was some kind of start of account frontloading, leading to wild bouts of min rolls from time to time that mandate the guaranteed SR and UR. It's still extremely rare for me to see less than 2 URs in a guaranteed UR pack though, oddly enough.
Even with a fully built Sky Striker and nearly fully built Mathmech deck I still go back to SSO from time to time to collect shinies. Also amazed at how long it took me to complete my playset of regular Sigma, I actually got 2 Final Sigmas before seeing my second regular one. Also WHERE THE HELL IS MY SECOND ALEMBERTIAN?! You really wanna play 2 but can just barely manage with one if you're good.
Tell me about it. Somewhere along the line, I started to not get UR cards in pack openings, AND the RNG system for starting hand has to be bugged. I keep losing because I draw the same one of brick cards over and over.

Yes is true master duel is drastically lowering the UR rate in every update, if this keeps going on they will only lose their community 'slowly'

Also, Dkayed, what I will say is that you could save some money by buying the packs on the mobile version of Master Duel. The 4950 gem pack is $15 less as well as all gems are less. I know that doesnât help for viewing content but figured Iâd throw that out there lol.

The other day I decided to actually spend some gems and i got an insane 10 pack with 8 URs. I havenât been signed in in a long time so it possibly was intentionally trying to get me to play again. I recommend building up a bunch pf gems and sitting out for a month or so and coming back to spend them.

I fully understand what the animations mean and I've probably opened one hundredth of the packs dkayed has.
In my experience, the less popular packs seems to reward more URs. I crafted a Shinobaron and got two URs from the one free pull, then I got 2 URs from my first 10 pull. I don't think this is a coincidence. Selection pack drop rate is absolute trash. I spent probably 10k gems to make Scareclaws in the last pack and ended up having to craft both Lightheart, Tri-Heart, and a field spell

I still not have completed Labrynth because of those rates, I dont event get enough UR to craft the missing cards.
They can fix this by being able to merge dust like being able to spend Sr to get ur and so on
Being a Ghostrick player is probably one of the most painful experiences for this reason. The archetype isnt even remotely good, and yet theyve got 4 URs and a ton of SRs and you need multiples of all of them, and whats worse is several of those URs and SRs in the game are R or N irl
we've had Mathmech for a bit... couple months IIRC, however only available in Master Pack
Same feeling with DL. Take a break, missed an event, no gem, and too many core cards being UR. Darklord player in DL way before it becomes the meta. They keep making everything UR in a new pack. Deck like Dinotrap is a great example of why I didn't want to come back, it look very fun but too expensive. The event is too grinding and everything is UR and SR nowadays.

I feel you guys. I was opening packs earlier today, about $130 worth, and I canât tell you how much Libromancer/Heroic stuff/URâs I got. I was pissed. A far cry from the pulls Iâve come to expect. On the upside, Therion ABC is REALLY good in my opinion. Itâs worth it.

i had in 40 packs i opened (30 new pack, 10 sky striker) in total 12 UR's. nothing i really needed tho. so i had alot of UR's but 80% i dont need.
I stopped buying gems a long time ago, it always been a scam. I just grind daily challenges now and I got basically all the decks I have in real life.

@@Clownzombie Konami has always been greedy. They got big in Japan by making gacha games and pachinko machines. They don't care about the game, only making paper. They also short print and deliberately make TCG cards more expensive than the OCG equivalent. The surprising thing would have been cheap gems.

The UR ratios and the scam are real. I spent 5K gems and only got one each of Discolosseum, Irregular and Argyro System; no Regulus.
Maybe because the free gems are used first and give bad pulls. They have decreasing the chance for royal and glossy card too.
@Dkayed... Not sure who needs to hear this, Your final card of the 10th pack is the only pack that is guaranteed to have an SR or UR. If you fail to find an UR in 10 packs that final card is always the one they force on you as your UR. When you see animations, if a pack started as normal and you see the pack glow before the cards get shot out that's a real upgraded, if speed lines that appear after the pack is opened change from blue to gold, it's a false upgrade, if they change from gold to rainbow its a true upgrade. MD has spaghetti code.
