    Girl! You scratching those Dooney’s is going to give me a heart attack! My chest is already feeling tight. 😆 Although they’re bouncing back to normal I’m still cringing! Don’t hurt the Dooney’s! Love your collection. Enjoy it!

    I just got my light taupe small satchel. I love it! I always wanted a taupe bag since I seen the devil wears prada and I love my bag. She's pebbled and I can't be happier.

    This is a great comparison. I have also notices differences in the leather and wondered if it has to do with the dying process, but I have several natural florentine bags and they too vary. My guess is there are different batches of leather. Not all cows have the same skin, right? In any event, it is nice to see all of this put together the way you did. TFS!

    One of my all time favorite bags! You have a beautiful collection! I think the difference is that each cow hide is unique 🤷‍♀️

    Great video! I love your collection. I agree that the pebbled florentine can be softer and more malleable. One of my favorites in my collection is also my black mini satchel. I prefer the smooth texture but will take the slightly pebbled and I love bags with stretch marks. They’re all so unique!

    Thank you so much for posting such a detailed video. I've found it very helpful. I'm saving up, so I can own ONE of this style. (Of course, if I'm really successful at saving my $, one day there will be two on my shelf. Then, fingers crossed, three. .... ) Because of how thorough your video is, I now know I'd be most happy with the black. Thank you. I've kept going back n forth about which color to purchase, and stressing out over it. You've brought a bit of calm to my mind. and that's not an easy thing to be done. Hahaha. Thanks again.

    I too love your collection and I'm the owner of two florentine satchels...a large in natural and a small in red. I do own other florentine styles in my collection, such as the dome satchel in black, the Courtney sac in chestnut and 2 other styles in chestnut that I don't remember the name including matching florentine wallets in red, natural and chestnut. My collection has been sitting in their respected dustbags, but I'm ready to pull them out after watching all these florentine videos on CZcams. Keep up the good work!!!💯🔥❤

    I've been researching the Florentine satchel the last several days because it's what I plan to buy during this Memorial Day say. I've found that these satchels came in Florentine leather and something called Florentine Vachetta leather. Whether they are two different leathers or the company just randomly decided to change the name I can't seem to find. Though, some of the colors, as near as I can tell, only came in the "Vachetta leather" like the Ivy and Gray you have. Another thing that strikes me as odd about this line is the variety in sizes. There are so many sizes, some of which only vary by and inch or two. This seems impractical from a manufacturing point of view. Makes me wonder if this is the result of the leather supply in that sometimes they don't always get large pieces necessary so they use them for smaller bags.

    I have noticed a big difference in the way the different colors scratch and the ability to buff out imperfections. I own the small Florentine satchel in 9 colors mostly smooth with slight pebble areas. I have been carrying the Bordeaux small satchel for several days now and any scratching buffs right off. I have used the Natural color quite a bit and it buffs nicely. The black has been good. I have a Chestnut Stanwich that is heavily pebbled and that bag has been the most difficult to keep looking like new with very light use...Like I have used it less than a week. My bags with Tmoro belting or trim will easily scratch the Tmoro color off...even in storage bags if bags are side-by-side touching each other. I noticed only a couple of slight scuffs, but that is enough to annoy me. I think the smaller bags have seams closer together which would give them a stiffer feel. I haven't purchased a Mini satchel yet. Sure is cute!!! Thanks for sharing your experience.

    Beautiful collection... They are made from animal skin, so like humans, the hide will be different. It’s all Florentine and think it all depends on the density, porosity and texture of the skin/leather before it’s processed. Just my 2 cents. All gorgeous! xoxo... PTB 😍

    The thinner leather is Toscana leather. Thicker is Florentine but sometimes the Toscana is used in the Florentine collection.

  • @mtnclmr4162

    I have noticed the different leathers on the floretine and I wonder if they use a thinner cheaper piece of leather hoping it goes unnoticed? Florentine should be thick, heavy and smoothe. There should be no pebbling in it. May as well pay less for the pebbled leather. I had one in Mauve that was smoothe but almost felt like a faux leather then I had the natural and had smoothe and texture and wrinkling so I returned it and bought a beautiful Brahmin bag. Dooney is getting too inconsistent anymore on their leathers.

    Beautiful satchels in fabulous colors. Is the IVY made in USA? I notice it is the only one that doesn’t have whipstitching on the handles. TFS🌸

    • @dooneydaze
      @dooneydaze  Před 5 lety +3

      Yes, it was made in America (MIA). But, almost all other satchels that were MIA do have whipstitch detail on the handles. This ivy was produced with a handful of other ivy satchels last year, and for some reason Dooney held off putting whipstitch on the handles. The ivy also has other weird details about it that none of the other normal satchels have, whether MIA or made in China.

      @jaydon724 Před 5 lety +2

      Dooney Daze That’s really interesting. I would love to see those other weird things. I only have one Florentine satchel and I bought it from eBay a while ago, so I had no idea there were such differences even in the leather. Thanks for sharing these differences with everyone.
