- January 5, 2021 troopers attempted to stop a stolen Ford Escape driven by Cortez Larkin of Columbus, OH for speeding. The pursuit began near Bowling Green, OH and ended near Cridersville, OH after the driver of the Escape rammed a patrol car attempting a rolling roadblock. It was subsequently discovered that Larkin had multiple felony warrants for his arrest.

Just because you're driving an escape doesn't mean you're going to
LMAO
😂
oh god, epic lol
ok, dad. lol
That was a good one
Driving without lights to be stealth but still using his blinkers... a true genius
A polite dumbass...
Am I seeing things or was he turning his headlights on and off during the chase?
@@snapmalloy5556 Yeah, exactly, why keep the lights off, when you can turn them on occasionally... of course to be more "stealth"... exactly my point, a true genius
@@karollepeto8924
And he has probably procreated.
That's frightening for our society
What are blinkers?
He's scared. That's why he escalates it and doesn't stop or get out. But, hes calm enough to live stream on social media 🤦♂️. Just sanitize his gene pool. 🤦♂️🤦♂️
This guy pushed his luck so hard after an hour of failing to stop, in a stolen car, refusing to exit the vehicle, blaming the cop as the reason for not stopping, then demanding a cigarette ffs.
I'm all for exercising restraint, but this guy wanted them to roll out a red carpet 🤣
Well, at least he didn't ask if he could take his crack pipe with him!
@@reallifelima7951 No joke, and the dash cams effectively earned him a long time in the slammer. Mr Larkin's one delusional fool.
He shouldn’t be allowed a license ever but then again he will drive w/out one
The driver not only failed to put the vehicle in Park, he forgot to shift his mouth into Neutral.
I gotta say as a retired officer from Ohio now living in Georgia. OSP has always been so polite during their pursuits. They just chase em. In the south, I have learned troopers in Ga, Fl, the Carolinas and even Arkansas will pit cars quick and efficiently to end pursuits no matter the speeds. They don’t play with these people.
"...pit cars quick and efficiently to end pursuits no matter the speeds." One would hope someone claiming to be a "retired officer" (of what?) would be a little better educated on this subject.
Here's some PIT 101 - "At speeds below 35 MPH, the Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT) may be used if the use of less than lethal force is justified. At speeds greater than 35 MPH, the technique is considered potentially lethal and therefore would normally be used only if lethal force is justified against all suspect vehicle occupants. The PIT is best used when the fleeing vehicle is cornering on a surface street...
The use of the PIT on a fleeing vehicle at speeds in excess of 35 MPH may result in the death of innocent passengers, other motorists, and/or bystanders. In instances where there are or may be innocent passengers in the suspect vehicle, there is inherent difficulty in justifying the use of the PIT maneuver..."
Research some of the many examples of inappropriate and/or improper PIT'ing and the resulting civil and even criminal liability, then listen again to the radio traffic on this video. The supervisor did ok a PIT once it met legally justifiable and authorized parameters. A big clue as to what those parameters are for that agency in this situation is contained in the radio traffic.
Your family must be very proud of your intelligence! So I’ll lead you by the nose since you’re to ignorant to have and level of common sense. Since we’re watching a POLICE pursuit, retired officer would mean....... law enforcement officer! And I’m not sure why you would send written documentation from where I’m not sure nor do I care! But if you’re point is and I’m totally guessing here. Is to show pitting at various speeds and the dangers involved. I would invite you to expand your knowledge, but maybe not since you know so much, to pull up videos from Arkansas State Police and Florida Highway Patrol, maybe even George State Patrol and others to view first hand that yes high speed pitting can and does occur. Also, for the record, I’ve been friends and still have a couple retired buddies from OSP. I know OSPs theory on things.
And one last thing! I was taught the pit maneuver at the OSP academy in 1986 I think during a week there for tactical and pursuit training.
Question: What penalty do people get when they to 23 over the Speedlimit in Ohio or Florida?. Maby the smal fines is one reason why people here in Germany (I live southwest of Munich) are speeding so extrem. Just last week I got a ticket for doing 63 Km/H in a 50 Km/H Zone (25€ Fine, but not Points)
Especially Arkansas where they will literally hit jumps if it means getting the suspect.
Driving a stolen car when you have felonies and speeding at the same time. BRILLIANT!!
And making a Facebook live video all while feeling and Eluding at speeds over 100mph. Apparently he's trying to get his World Star Hip Hop views up. Now he can play hid the soap in the showers at Pichaway State Prison.
I guess this is the society we live in. Lead police on a 45 min chase then feel you have a negotiating position after they get you stopped.

We need Andy Griffith Back
@@foxiedogitchypaws7141 We need Clint Eastwood back. Dirty Harry would have ended this 60 miles earlier.
These people were irrational from the start, and just as irrational, at the end.
They turned a simple ticket into a long list of offenses. Troopers, and deputies from 4 counties, got involved. These people were from Florida, I gather.
Maybe that explains it.
@Michael Reece Or Charles Bronson 😜
Some of you don't seem to understand how dangerous a pit is at 120 mph. Also ya'll obviously don't live in Ohio. Our troopers are by far the most professional and most well trained troopers out there. Very few incidents ever occur from our troopers and this shows that. Lastly for those who don't know most if not all our state police vehicles aren't equipped with push bars on the front.
I co-sign this ✍🏻
There's another video of cops pitting car right into grove of trees at 100+ mph. 😆😆😆

Alaska state troopers say different
The officer , who had to chase this vehicle . Has to have a patient and thoughtful character about them .
Did he really say he couldn't slow down with blown tires? 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Ohio Troopers are bad ass ! When i drove over the road , it was a well known fact to NOT mess with these guys ...I found them to be really cool
If this was down south this circus would have been over long ago.No way these cops should be appeasing these criminals.
Or Calif, despite that agency's sometimes questionable vehicle choices, Chippies as a group, are the equal of any other state police force.
I agree so long so many chances somebody innocent getting hurt
Georgia will put you on your lid in under 15 miles guaranteed
And if this was in California, it'd last several days, and everyone involved would stop to refuel.
Troopers voice stayed really calm thru the play by play .....Good Job !!
These are incredibly patient officers considering the length of this pursuit and the outcome. Glad to see nobody got injured.
Fyi the Mother had KIDS in car😡😡😡. Cops are way out of control!!.
@@packingten so tell me how the troopers would know that there were KIDS in the car when it's fleeing at 100 mph? It is the decision of the person driving to have concern for other passengers that are in the car methinks.
@@packingten So.... You are blaming the cops for this? HOW stupid can someone get...
@@packingten another moron, that blames the cops. And gives the criminals a pass. You are more than likely a criminal yourself.
You guys were extremely patient. I wish nothing but the best for you guys, take care.
They would have never stayed in that car that long in Arkansas.
I like the part where the truck driver was blocking him if only the runner would clip the trailer that would have put a stop to the runner.
Dumb ass no that wouldn't stop the run all that would get the driver another charge to what they are already looking at
So when you are pulled over by a cop you don't have to follow any of the cop's orders if you are live streaming. Interesting.
OSP will go out their way to avoid using force if they believe they can de-escalate the encounter verbally. There are hundreds of city cops and deputies in Ohio that apply to OSP and get rejected each year. They are known throughout the nation for being among the elite of state police forces. That is not to say they are perfect and don’t occasionally get a bad apple or two... but they do behave professionally 99% of the time.
I agree. My cousin was OSHP commander in Cambridge, now retired.
OHSP isn't state police! Just FYI, Ohio doesn't have State Police.
@@xsv4rce893 It’s called OSP (Ohio State Patrol) some people will call it state police because that is what comes to their head. But the title isn’t OSHP, it’s OSP as stated before. State patrol and state police have the same duties (can be different from other states) but a different name that’s all.
It was my damn phone that did OSHP, I know it's OSP but they do not have the same duties as a regular cop. They are Traffic cops, they don't handle domestic situations. Buckeye Sheriff's Association would never allow Ohio to have State Police anyway, it's been rumored for many many years.
@@xsv4rce893: Lol... they aren’t exclusively “traffic cops”, which you would know if you read the information in the link I posted. Do you think if they were traveling past an obvious act of assault, they’d just go on their merry way? They are full-fledged certified law enforcement.
trooper keeping that adrenalin at bay, nicely done
I'm laughing at the troop that's yelling like he's on top of a mountain.
RICOLAAAAaaaa
Multiple felony warrants and he’s on the roadway why? Our courts need to get a grip. This is just ignorance from our justice systems.
Just because you have warrants doesn't mean you magically just appear in jail. You know that right?
Its good that they signaled to let the cop know where they were going.
Why the hell would you treat state cops like this? I'm not a big fan of the cops, but I've never had a problem with state troopers. At the worst, you're gonna get a ticket, at the least, you're gonna get to bullshit with them for awhile.
Not in a stolen car 😂
And this is where we are....when we break the law we can say we are scared & act stupid. Take accountability b/c even when being nice this kid is still acting immature & irresponsible.
I bet in that hour long + chase the dummy in the escape got 4 or 5 phone calls that his auto warranty was expiring.
That's the first time I've seem someone running and flashing their headlights as they come upon traffic.
That Ford Escape didn’t escape...
All I could hear when the troopers tried to get the idiots out was, I'm scared over and over and according to the one officer, the driver was broadcasting live on Facebook. Wasn't too scared to run over 100 MPH with no lights. They are always real tough right before getting stopped.

I did when I was 18, going 80 in a 55 coming over a hill, cop in oncoming lane got me on radar, he had to slow down and turn around but by then I had sped up and went through a neighborhood. He had his lights on and saw me fly around the turn into the neighborhood. I slowly gained distance from him until i hit the main road and was in a different county in a few minutes
@@nickmellon6677 only 80 in a 55-Zone?. Here in Germany if you do 80 Km/h in a 50 Km/h Zone, they (depending on the Radar-System), they normaly reduce 3 Km/H (in some situations even up to 10% (when your doing over 100Km/h outside town and the Cops are cathing you with a Civil Police Car), so they would charge you with ding 77 in a 55. That´s 70€ and 1 Point on your license. Back when I was in driving school in 2006 it was much less, around 40€ and (old point-system till 2014 in use) 2 Points. This guy took the truck's name a little too seriously.
So anyone with an IQ north of single digits would consider the fact that they had multiple felony warrants and were driving a stolen car. Logic would tell you to stay off of the interstate and drive like an old woman on her way to church.
anyone with a warrant probably wouldnt earn an IQ score any higher than that of a fetus
You just can’t fix stupid
I love that he still uses his blinker to exit after turning off the lights, and flashing brights the entire time, wtf. Crack is whack.
I had to laugh when I saw the title and length of video over an hour long!!! Really? A Ford Escape running from police took over an hour? LOL!
I can't roll the window down right now I'm on the phone with my mommy.
Leave it to troopers that no matter the situation and how fast it unfolds, they gotta first stop and put their hats on.
so true ,,, you will always have some supervisor see this and write you up for not having your hat on ,,,,,,,, " we found you office laying on the side of the road", supervisor, " did he have his hat on? "🙄🙄👀🤔😵😵
This guys wife left him for a Ohio state trooper, and when he saw in his rearview mirror the Ohio state trooper pulling him over, he thought he was bringing his wife back, therefore he was not going to stop...
When you’ve explained everything to the idiot over and over and he’s still arguing, that’s when you offer him the choice of getting out of the car or having the pleasure of a canine officer jump in the window to help him decide. He’s just arguing to have control in the situation. I say call the canine-he’ll get out.
Damn man just because you're driving one doesn't mean you can !!!!! 🤔👍😎

OSP will not stop chasing you.
Dude was probably like “I’m just seeing if the car lives up to it’s name before I buy it”
OSP are literally the best kind of people... they've indisputably proven it countless times, and once again as shown here.
Gotta love the fact that the felon uses his signals when changing lanes. Guess he's thinking "no sense adding yet another traffic fine".
ikr 😂 dude was trying to run but kept telling the police what direction he was going. if only all drivers were as kind and courteous and used their indicators
One time he had hazard lights on.
A pity neither trooper used the PIT maneuver. The chase could have been ended much sooner.
Would depend on various factors. Maybe he was not authorized due to not being certified, weather conditions, or because his commanders did not authorize it.
The real pity is you obviously know nothing about the PIT maneuver such as when, how, and by whom it can and should be used, yet you still felt qualified to comment and criticize. It's real life, not a video game.
Someone said that Ohio or some state can't pit without supervisor approval
Kqr, thanks, Mr genius. 🤦♂️
Got to say, the driver in the Escort didn't want to break all traffic laws, he did use his turn signal!
It seemed to me that guy was using his signals as a psych out

and he wonders why he didn’t get away
Great Trooper!!
Troopers are brave, cool pros.

Just by reading the tittle I knew this was going to be a LONG one!!! :)
Damn good State Trooper!
Nice job on stopping the fleeing vehicle. Hopefully, they'll put that asshole driver away for a long time.
Its funny how different states act.. Ohio chases them for 5 hours at safe distances. Arkansas will ram into them at 189 mph within the first 7 minutes and shoot flamethrowers at their tires.
Dat ford escape rly do b escapin doe 😳
keep your hands up, roll down the window, keep your hands on the wheel, turn the car off ... I have the ultimate respect for law enforcement, but stop with the contradicting orders.
I'm sorry how come you're still not doing a pit remover no tires and he's screwing up the road get them off there no I appreciate what the law enforcement does but you're doing it wrong get them off
I'm surprised that transmission didn't randomly go out like they are known for

Just because it’s called a Ford Escape doesn’t mean you can “escape”
I would have backed the police car up. Broke the drivers window. Pulled him out period enough games. The driver turned off his headlights he knew he was evading trying to run.
What a waste of fuel and time....the policeman had numerous opportunities at a clean head shot with his left hand. This menace would have been permanently shut down.
53:27 When he said that he knew he was going to jail.
So how did this end are they still sitting there arguing?

And then signals his lane changes?!?!?
This sickens me. Treating grown people like kids.

I don’t understand why this trooper didn’t take aggressive action, he let this criminal put life’s in danger, innocent people. He should of pit the guy 15 mins into the chase!!!
Impressive driving by the criminal
IT should NEVER be allowed to drive again, not even a Frickin scooter!
No way he is trying to negotiate after driving from the OSP for over an hour, hope he feels like an idiot in the future.
I never understand why some of these criminals use their turn signals when being chased
Because they learned it in Drivers Ed.
If you’re actually going fast you don’t want some guy swerving into you because he doesn’t know you’re switching lanes I didn’t watch a whole ton of the actual driving but I would assume that’s why

They should be allowed to DIRT NAP these guys after 20 minutes. Waisted resources and time.
Well, it is a Ford "Escape" after all.
Lot's of contradictory orders from police. Show me your hands, roll the window down, do you wanna get shot? (I'm ready to) keep your hands on the wheel, turn the car off, put it in park, keep your hands in the air, unlock it, and on and on.
if they didn't get into a high speed chase with the cops there wouldn't have been any contradictory orders.
@@bindlepig8064 - There was a chase though and when it's over the cops need to all be on the same page. Hands up and unlock the door are to extreme opposites. Hands up cop could see that as going for a weapon. Sounds like you think I hate cops and like criminals. Wrong...reread my original comment until it sinks in through your thick skull. Numerous cops all yelling contradictory commands. People have been shot and killed for this exact reason. One of the cops will set off the rest of the cops when his individual order gets disobeyed by the suspect if they follow the orders of another cop. That's all I'm saying you damned imbecile.
Here is a good white cop trying to stop and arrest a black man. The cop is very possibly sickened by what he has seen on the news. He is being WAY cool with this situation. Does OSP not PIT cars ?
They did. We can't see it because they didn't provide video from the second cruiser, but it ended the chase with a PIT after the Escape rammed the lead trooper performing a rolling roadblock
Some states cops have to get authorization from their supervisor to pit.
