These trucks make a great platform for an overland/adventure rig and come with some awesome factory features including, front and rear lockers, sliders, and skids.
In this video, Ben with The Average Overlanders walks us through his Colorado build and highlights some of the modifications he's made including an AEV snorkel, custom DIY water storage, and the sleek #alucab #explorercanopy.

Yeah My Brother bought Chevy Colorado 2022 with the Naturally Aspirated (N/A) V6, which I like the most. It also looks like the 2015 Full Sierra
All other trucks are Turbo V6 or 4 cylinder Turbos.. The reason I don't like the Turbo is due to Manufactures not knowing they need to put a Heat Shield between the engine and Turbos, and or Insulation Cover...

Pretty nice upgrades to that truck. Too bad all the cool upgrades are so expensive lol.
What was cool is that the skids and sliders were included with the ZR2. You could drive off the lot and be ready to hit the trails!

Great looking rig. Was wondering where the sleeping quarters were. Love the water tanks on the top !! Great video !
We have been trying to get him to the RTT side 😂 however the Shift Pod tents are great and easy set up. Those water tanks are innovative DIY!!!

A snorkel for a car? I've never heard of that before. He's got a pretty cool car, a lot of upgrades.
Not only for water crossings, but since we do lots of off-roading through forest roads and desert terrain. A snorkel helps keep your truck cleaner and performing better. It sucks the dust and debris particles and carries it out of the truck. This Colorado is a very nice rig!

The bison has BORON STEEL, which is lighter and more durable than steel and aluminum
Most modern vehicles have boron steel and/or aluminum. Nothing special. Collision tech here.

@@OpenRoad4Two Thanks for the reply. Looks great! Had a 2013 Tacoma, mild build but for the last several years needed a full size truck. Now looking at going back to a midsized and the colorado is in my sights. Heck I live in CO so why not have a Colorado.. Happy Travels

Did you have any problems with leaks?
What is the load rating and size of your AT3W's? Did you have to do any trimming?
Not sure on the load rating and we don’t think he did any trimming. However, you can reach out to the owner of this amazing rig on IG at Chili_colorado_overland.
My dealer said the snorkel will void my warranty.
