This siren is part of the Spartanburg County Outdoor Warning System, and it is tested on the first Saturday of every month weather permitting at 1:00 pm and is controlled by the Spartanburg County Emergency Management Agency
As the 2T22 siren in Lawndale, North Carolina failed on us, we headed down to Chesnee, South Carolina in Spartanburg County to record the Federal Signal Thunderbeam RSH-10 siren. As usual, Spartanburg County never fails on us during the Monthly Siren Test. Maybe I might go to Boiling Springs, North Carolina next time to record the 2T22 in Cleveland County. Hopefully, that won't fail on me.
