  • Very difficult to do but not imposible. I am not a mechanic at all. I am a carpenter and i was able to do this so i think a anybody can do it. It requires a lot of patience. And you have to remember how everything came out from there. A video from chris will help you out a lot. I wish i had a camara to put on a stand and record but unfortunately i didn't. It will work the same with the following cars.
    Enclave
    Traverse
    Outlook

This is very tricky. Because if you can drive for at least 30 mins and the car is shifting fine before going to that limp mode that means is not your wave plates that are broken it will be just your output speed sensor. But the codes that comes out is the input speed sensor.

I have like 10 codes pertaining to input shaft speed sensor but it drives like you say I can drive fine at first but then I get stuck in limp mode I don't want to spend too much to fix the wrong thing 😢

Good job, looks like you cut your work in half. I am about to tackle the wave plate on mine. From what I can see you only unbolted the engine/transmission cradle from the driverside, unbolted the strut on that side and unbolted the steering , then jacked in between the cradle and the Acadia mount fram. Did I miss anything from what I heard you did not unbolt the cradle on the passanger side. Thanks please reply if I missed anything.

Anthony Catala thanks, I’m not too worried though, I don’t work on cars, but I’m a cnc repair tech, so that should help a bit lol. Just was hoping I could get er done easily like this instead of pulling the whole engine and tranny.

Hi , I have 2011 Travers , the transmission work with 1-2-3-4-5 but didn’t transfer to 6 and when driving with 80 m the RPM becomes 4 and the transmission back to 4 and does not take 5and 6
Could you help me with that?

@@kikis4267 no really! To change just the input speed sensor you don't have to remove that cover. You will only have to remove 1 of the motor mounts to be able to remove one cover. And after removing the cover you will have access just to remove the sensor.

@@kikis4267 you will also have to take the cover out where the tcm is.so you can unplug the speed sensor. And when you unplug it attached a piece of string to it so when you pull out the sensor wire that string will come to the other side and that is your way to put it back in. Search for some videos that they have out there just for the process of putting it in and out.

I will say 1 full day for a non experienced mechanic if you have all the parts that you need. but, like me it was 2 days cause I didn't have the parts and cause I like taking my time so I don't get frustrated. And if you have experience and the right tools it can probably be done in 5 hours or less.
