Lyrics: Well, wanna tell you
'Bout my baby, my baby
I'll never, never, never
Leave her, no, no
Loving you, loving you
Is ecstasy to me
I could never leave you
Never do without your love
Oh, no, oh, no
No, baby, no
I wanna tell you, I never
Never leave you, baby, no, no
Loving you is ecstasy to me
And I'll never do, never do
Without your love, baby, no
Your love, never, baby, no
I could never do without you
Oh, no, oh, no
I could never do without you
Oh, no, oh, no

Never stopped since it first came out in September 1973 when I was 13.. That was 50 years ago ; it's now 2024, and this Jizzie is still kickin' ‼️
🎶🎵💃🏿🎵🎶
It reminds me of my mother and uncles getting down to this song too bad its only 2 mins some of the best songs is short.
This jam needed to be at least five more minutes long. Regardless, this is still a kick @$$ jam.
Ecstasy was the last Ohio Players hit on Westbound Records before they started shifting gears by making several personnel changes and moving on to Mercury Records and was also the last hit to feature keyboard player Walter “Junie” Morrison as lead singer when he left the band to join George Clinton’s Parliament/Funkadelic camp and one the band members took over lead vocals named Sugarfoot Bonner. Two other new members joined the band as well and they were Billy Beck took over the keyboards when Junie left and Jimmy “Diamond” Williams took over the drums. Starting with their first gold album for Mercury titled Skin Tight the line up consists of bandleader and woodwind player Clarence “Satch” Satchell, trumpet and flugelhorn player Ralph “Pee Wee” Middlebrooks, trumpet and trombone player Marvin “Merv” Pierce,Marshall “Rock” Jones on bass guitar,LeRoy “Sugarfoot” Bonner on guitar and lead vocals,Billy “Silly Billy”Beck on keyboards and clavinet, and Jimmy “Diamond” Williams on drums.
Do you know the name of the other lead guitarist that played with Sugarfoot in the band?

@@delam1970 Thanks!! Pain and Ecstasy got me hooked on the Players. Those Brothers from Dayton, Ohio started the great Funk bands from that era. I believe when they started, they called themselves The Ohio Untouchables then changed the name of the group to The Ohio Players. Thanks again!!!
@@ericwilliams1544 that’s right they were known as the Ohio Untouchables way back in 1959.
@@ericwilliams1544 The Ohio Players were one of the most successful and influential bands of the 70s funk period, but they didn't "start the great funk bands from that era." That honor would go to James Brown's various bands and then Sly and The Family Stone," in that order. Everything else came after them. Not saying there weren't other bands, but in terms of being successful enough to influence others, that would be JB's bands and Sly, both of whom were hitting in the mid and late 60s, respectively, while the Ohio Players' first real hit, "Pain," didn't come until '71.
“Jay Z and Biggie Small 🥷 shit ya drawls, Brooklyn goin out to all!!!!” 🔥🔥🔥🔥

FBA excellent remember my mother (mama) father playing this song making me and my sister and brother dance to music like this we had our own lil soul train going on but it's crazy my mother was pregnant with me and, her and my father were on soul train that's why I can dance the way I do Don C. was talking to my whole her and my dad were doing the word scramble this was in 72" ,check this out yrs later in the early 90's I was on there tell me about coming full circle I was on the episode when shemer Moore was the host we talked about it they showed the footage by that time my dad been deceased for 19 yrs he said DAMN IF YOU DON'T LOOK LIKE YOUR FATHER BEST TIME OF LIFE WE CALLED MY MOTHER ON THE PHONE ALL THIS WOMAN COULD SAY HOW MUCH SHE LOVED SHEMER MOORE I WAS EMBARRASSED LIKE A MUG LOL
Love this song so much that I googled the song lyrics. Genius has the best and most accurate lyrics all the way through the song. I'm tryin' to master Junie's cadence from the lyrics. Fun, but hard. Lol.

I have a question. How dope is your music that you create a genre? At the time most black music was lumped under R&B; and then came Funk!

2024!!!!!!!!
How about September 2023
How Vega Funk, Merry Christmas. The reason why I'm writing this letter, is because I was wondering could you help me bring back, such as
Detroit Emeralds Do Me Right/ Wear This Ring, and Denise LaSalle It Ain't Enough Hate Around and Good Things Better? The reason why I ask, because they both were on the same label with The Ohio Players. I grew up with Detroit Emeralds Denise LaSalle and The Ohio Players since
I was just ten years old. For one thing, they keep removing Do Me Right, Baby Let Me Take You and Wear This Ring, and Denise LaSalle It's Ain't Enough Hate Around, and Good Things Better, from my collection, it kind've made me sad. Will you help me bring them back?
