There was actually three people who sang lead on this song. Ralph (Love) Adkins, Robert (Bip) Oneal, and Keith (Chop Chop) Harrison. for those that are not from Dayton Ohio, It Was (Bip) that passed away. away God rest his soul, my big brother Mr. Robert (BIP) Oneal!!!!!!!

To everyone that thinks that old school is too old....WRONG...this is one of the most smoothest of the 70's funk singles....the synthesizer on this piece is crazy. Get with it and understand that these guys were real musicians back in the day....not this studio induced high tech with no flow or feel.....you feel the horns in this piece?
And to add to your spot on analysis David, every song that played on the radio back in the day, didn't have such a thing called "auto tunes" like 90% of the so-called songs today. This jam really takes me back and makes me realize our generation was so lucky to experience this golden era of great music in the mid to late '70s.

This is the jammm! This tune stayed in my mind since the 70's even though other songs came and went over the years, and I didn't know the artists or the name of the song. A few years ago I finally heard the song again on you-tube by accident, and now I listen to it periodically to get that 'high'.
