They tried... Lord of the Clans was gonna a be point and click adventure game and it was 99% completed and is even playable if you find the leaked game, they just thought it wasn't up to their standards.

I been wanting a campaign for Go'el( The kings Thrall) for many years, didn't realize someone finally did it. I have to purchase Reforged now. Blizzard has modders to thank for more sales. Heck, hope it blows up and shows demand for a new game.

not a story of oppression, but freedom. Orcs are damn strong. And current wow just made them emotional as Blackmoore did. I can't wait to see the story of warriors I commanded to escape in the see dwellers.
Yeah, current Thrall in retail WoW is more likely to just sit down and have a nice hug n' cry about his problems.

Would have been cool of Blizzard to release to the public whatever was finished from the original Lord of The Clans and just put a disclaimer that they cancelled and unfinished for a reason.
I believe there is a playthrough of what is there on CZcams. While there is great voice acting, it doesn't really follow the book, and...well it's awkward, writing wise. I get why they never released it.

Be mindful that it doesnt have all quality of life stuff and older voices.

This is pretty cool. I was obsessed with everything Blizzard as a teen/preteen. Had all or most of the Diablo, Warcraft, and Starcraft books when they were coming out back then. Lord of the Clans was probably my favorite and I always dreamed of how cool it would be to play a game that followed that story or incorporated that lore more directly (mmorpgs never appealed to me so I never really got into WoW after it came out).

...well damn, this is actually tempting me to get Reforged.
Looks nice, might play through it. We can only hope that one day Blizzard finally realizes that they're sitting on a gold mine with all these side stories and backstories of all the characters that. They could easily do a W3 Expac with WoW expansion releases where we could finally understand wtf is going on with the story by playing through with all these heroes etc... We all knew Arthas and Illidan and that's what made those xpacs so meaningful
The fact blizzard will hold this over the heads of others that this is "their" property despite doing a total disservice to their own lore makes me weep that the fans put in more hard work than the owners...

Very nice.. love seeing this book brought to life. I think 99% of people that play wow currently don’t even have a clue of the origin story, and it makes me happy to see someone giving it some justice.

Lord of the Clans is one my Favorite WoW books. This looks good, looking forward to it.

The books were an absolute delight to relive as games, and there's no way I can thank you enough for reminding me of my childhood, reading them.
My only complaint is that they were way too short.
...or, in the very least, I haven't had that much fun since I was a little kid.
Also, I was blown away by just how much the WC3 editor can be wrangled to suit the situation. When I first saw kid Thrall(incredibly well made retexturing of the human child BTW), I was stunned.
When I realized just how well it recreated the milieu of the book in general, I was left utterly speechless.
Anyway, I hope every day of your life is at least half as great as I've felt when I played your mods.

Aside from Thrall needing a shave, this was gooood.
So, in warcraft... lots of people say orcs and humans are morally grey. This isn't true, almost every single human does something bad is either corrupted by someone(arthas) or the bad is overexaggerated(jaina imprisoning dalaran blood elves) and even Garithos gets a worse rap than he deserves since he put aside his bigotry to work with the forsaken.
Blackmoore? Blackmoore is pure evil and nobody brings him up when talking about when humans go bad. Sure, hes a rogue human thats in it for himself, so you cant blame humanity for what he does, but man... that guy makes Nerzhul go "yo chill"
Garithos was only a means to a end type guy. He planned to back stab the forsaken and take lorderon for himself. People also forget that you have characters like greymane that started the next war during legion cause he try to assassinate the dark lady but alliance retards try to sweep it under the rug by saying "but she killed his son" ignoring the peace treaty his king sign and the fact he wasn't punish for it shows how weak writers blizzard has now.
Then they forget the genocide attempt by Jainna hands at dalaran on the blood elves.

Not directly. We didn't create new animations, but we modified some slightly, added animations from different units or fused some models together (like Blackmoore holding Baby Thrall).
@@OutsiderXE Oh I see! I'd bought Reforged on release day, and refunded it after 30 minutes. Even the animations were horribly dull.
Here I don't feel it. I can not exactly pin point it, but seemingly they... well, they work.
Great campaign! It was nice playing all the other canpagins as well! Although I'd like to know: is it possible to play with classic graphics?
There is an SD version thar lacks the current voices and some balance and bugfixes, but ultimately its the same.

Casually leaving relevant information is the Horde way 😂... Horde players still bring up internment camps as a reason to hate the Alliance, while Lordaeron and Dalaran, the kingdoms actually behind the camps are members (Forsaken/Lordaeron) or allies (Kirin Tor/Dalaran) of the Horde.
