It is my most favorite TV show -- Critter Fixers !!!! They have excellent vet staffs ever too. I really don’t want to miss watching this show on TV forever !!! 👍😉
Props to all vets! Getting into vet school is EXTREMEMLY competitive, much more so than medical school; there are only 32 accredited US schools of veterinary medicine, compared with 195 accredited US schools of medicine or osteopathy. And kudos to these two vets, who also see large animals as well as small ones! The US has a growing shortage of large animal vets, which makes life really hard for farmer.
One of those is at Cornell which has a pretty extensive large animal vet program. (Hint! Hint!) Just one caution: As delightful and informative as this program always is, be aware vets have the highest rates of suicide among all health care professionals. There’s a program called, “Not One More Vet”-check it out. Being a vet is a challenging, occasionally sad, often funny, satisfying and rewarding career. BTW, one doesn’t become a vet for the *income!*
