My horse started with headshaking, that’s when I knew I had a bad saddle on him. So I asked 3 different saddle professionals and found the right fitting saddle for him, and he became a different horse ❤️❤️❤️🌸 it is so important to have a good fitting saddle on your horse ❤️

You didn’t mention anything about gullet width over the spine?

How can I keep my western saddle and saddle pad from sliding without a Brest plate?

Help! My saddle keeps sliding backwards and I don’t know what to do. My horse is very round but also has high withers (Percheron cross). I have asked sever people what to do and they suggested a half pad that’s higher in the back, but that doesn’t sound right.

Perhaps look into getting a breastplate? They are used to prevent the saddle from slipping either sideways or backwards.

Wont hurt to try the half pad and try a brestplate

I always had that issue until I adjusted the gullet. Saddles that are too wide will almost ALWAYS slide back

King Zeus_and_I I ended up purchasing a custom saddle and now I don’t have any problems. 😂😳🤦‍♀️
