Imaginary C&O 1950s fan trip from Columbus to Athens

Inspired by the fan trips many railroads ran in the 1950s, I staged an imaginary trip on the C&O from Columbus to Athens powered by a C&O 2-6-6-2 Mallet for most of the trip. Come along and experience the magic and joy of steam in HO scale. This video was taken on the Hocking Valley Model Railroad Club’s HO layout, which is based off the Hocking Valley/C&O line from Columbus to Athens.
