Strictly does gorgeous routine every single year for A Remembrance Day. Just simply stunning. I look forward to them every time.
I love watching the ceremony from Canada. It was very stunning lest we never forget.
Me.too.they are great
I just realised what made Karen and Dianne’s bit sad was that they were soldiers that didn’t have anyone waiting for them 🥺
Does anyone else always cry when the pros pay tribute to our veterans past & present. I’m a blubbering mess right now watching them all 😢. All so beautiful & touching
Nice to see current servicemen and women represented, we have a tendency to associate today with WWI and WWII forgetting we still have people serving and dying today.
Different faces, different times, same story.
@@christopherbennett5858 ui
Great to see female service people being represented and another great lead from Amy. Well done all 👏♥️
i love how they all have different storylines; a family, 2 mates, and couples. I think that on top of the beautiful choreography made the dance.
Kevin and Gorka are meant to be brothers, they said on IT2.
@@bessieburnet9816 still applies. But, we can all agree: it was beautiful.
I saw kevin & gorka as a couple. It was a brillant Dance.
@@mayasomers2158 I know right? As their were LGBT soldiers thoughout history 😂
@@mayasomers2158 You do realise that gay people existed before 2019 right? Ok, they were obviously not playing a couple but if they were it wouldn't be historically inaccurate.
My favourite bit about this is the bit with Kevin and Gorka. Their acting was amazing! They presented a brotherly bond so so well! And they used Street Commercial dance and made it tear jerking and emotional! I love it! 😢❤️
whoever disliked this should be ashamed. such a beautiful and heartwarming routine from everyone.
so true how sad some people truly are.
To be fair I’ve accidentally disliked before it’s easy to do it on accident!
It’s not for everyone. It’s not up to you to say who can like what. Maybe they thought it wasn’t what they thought should be a portrayal of the war. It may be an army veteran for all you know. Sort it out and realise that everyone has an individual narrative and point of view before this sort of comment happens again
@@cperry7287 obviously not an accident, I've just had the most disrespectful reply to my comment . Some people are just plain heartless.
Wendy Trimmer I’m not being disrespectful I think it was such a beautiful routine
This was so cleverly choreographed, I loved it
No woos or cheers, utter respect ❤️
I actually love that Amy always gets the lead in the remembrance dances because she’s so good!
Luba’s acting is so underrated in this, my heart broke for her face when johannes’ character left, truly amazing little moment amongst a gorgeous dance
The clock even pointing at 11 ... man this gives the feels
One of the best strictly dances ever! So amazing and such a great story it's so great to see Anton as a lead but not the lead because he's the joke of the dance he's been there the longest and truly showed his talent in story telling here x
I agree, Anton is very underrated
I have never been able to listen to this song the same ways as I did before ever since I saw this "Remembrance Sunday" addition of "Strictly Come Dancing".
2019, the last great year before the world went wrong.
It was real to see what men AND women went through, simply by watching this routine. It had me in floods of tears.
Beautiful made me cry! RIp Dad! Made me think of my Dad. He was a Korean vet.
very beautiful
Teresa Kelton sorry for your loss ❤️
You’ll meet again
Had me in a flood of tears, so moving- well done to everyone ❤️
From the time Anton kissed the boy and woman I was crying.
So many innocent men lost their lives...it is so hard to imagine all the pain, suffering, anguish and heartache during that period and indeed the anguish and pain carries on...just when you feel like giving up on humanity, remembrance day comes round and you realise people do actually have hearts
@@chloemarples7828 Thanks for correcting that. There was a huge loss of civilian life on both sides.
I'm sobbing. Loved the role they gave Anton. Perfect.
Laura Duncan yes! The watch he gave Amy from Christina and Ethan- the Ben 10 watch was such a significant sign.
I don’t know how people could of disliked this. This dance is amazing. I am watching it over and over again and can’t stop watching it. Thank you to everyone who serves there country and sacrifices there life’s for others.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Amy and AJ have the best face for remembrance dance. No one else
She lead the 2018 and 2019 rememberance day dances and did her flip flop and fly jive with Danny and she just seems to suit the dances so well
Absolutely amazing opener to remember the Soliders that fought in the first World War and the Second World War. And all the recent Conflicts that is going on all around other Countries still today. Thankyou to the Professional dancers from Strictly who did a outstanding dance on the results show tonight. The Costumes and everything else was just amazing and Anton and Amy and the boy were amazing all the other Strictly Professional dancers were amazing. Thankyou to the BBC1 producers for putting on a brilliant show this evening to remember everyone that did not come home from both first and second World wars and to the all other Conflicts that is going on in different Countries around the World. I will remember this opener of Strictly come dancing results show for the most memorable results show ever since Strictly come dancing started back in 2004. This is the best Remberance Sunday in Strictly. Thankyou to all the Professional dancers and all the back stage Costumes design and to all makeup artist and to technical crew and film crew and to Dave Arch and the band and the singers and Luke Evans who sang bring him home from the musical hit show Le Miserable. I absolutely love this evening show amazing tonight. This one should go down in history book for the best Remberance Sunday in Strictly come dancing. 💃🕺🏿💃🕺🏿💃🕺🏿💃🕺🏿💃🕺🏿💃🕺🏿💃🕺🏿💃🕺🏿💃🕺🏿🎵🎶🎤. Absolutely amazing.xxx.
This was absolutely gorgeous....had me SOBBING x
it really was
Glad Amy gets all the remembrance leads
She owns this week every year ♥️♥️
Lynx why does she always get the remembrance leads? I’m new to strictly so I don’t know
Adri Morales Casique yeah, she did dance fantastically so I’m glad she did.
@@adrimilagros I am not sure but I know she got the lead last year on the Remembrance Day dance as it was about the Air Force and women in the air force.
@@adrimilagros im guessing that particularly for the one last year is that she is the only British female pro which made sense for a dance about royal air force and the fact she carries a story extremely well
😭😭😭😭 so touching to think that my great grandad, my grandad andy uncle went through all that pain
Thank you for this routine! My dad served in Afghanistan in 2009 and the reality of war is still fresh for him! I cried so much in how beautiful it was. I’m lucky to still have my dad but I know not many are!
Claire Scampo yes! Totally agree! I lost my dad on this day 15/11 in 1995! He was visiting a Spanish war museum and had his 3rd and final heart attack. Unfortunately my mum was left alone in Spain with my good friend to help her. Someone hacked my Facebook account today and deleted my fathers photo. I have a huge amount of sympathy for people grieving. I found out 2 years ago that my father was not my biological father and my biological father had been fighting a war in Sierra Leone. After my mother Peggy passed away in 2015 on my ex husband’s birthday from Flu and a stroke leading to a blood clot in the heart, I had to be strong enough to speak in public at her funeral. Not long afterwards I nursed my biological father in his final days! So I have a huge empathy towards anyone grieving and would recommend professional counselling as I did with Gail. I also have received counselling for ptsd with Catherine Regards to Otis Viennese waltz and Luba Stevie wonder and friendship with WillIAM and meeting johannes at a wedding and the effects of my families listening to the platters. So I am sorry if your dad fought in Afghanistan and your friends are not lucky to have their parent around.
Here is a positive poem from my mothers funeral that I would like to share with you:
I hope it helps those in need:

Watching this dance reminded me of my great auntie Marjorie Alice in Hawaii and how she was married to an RAF pilot Cyril during the war for 30 days. She then married an American serviceman and traveled to SAN Francisco before being bereaved and travelled to Hawaii and meeting a colonel George. I really sympathise with women in the war, wondering if their soldiers would come back alive!
I cried so much watching Luke Evans sing bring him home!!!!!
Strictly absolutely nailed this one every year they keep viewers hooked .
No matter how many times I watch this, I never get to the end without tearing up
this makes me cry every time but i still keep putting it on.
This was beautiful and props to Anton for making me cry. Only other contenders successful in that in the whole shows run was Will during his interviews and Mike after the evening in joy.
i was in the audience watching this and i was in awe, so so beautiful 💗💗

Thank you to everyone who has ever served or is currently serving to protect our country, we love and respect you and are forever grateful for everything you've risked for us ❤🇺🇸
First such a amazing dance x
Somethings In my eye!😪❤️
Cried all the way through. At least the BBC is still doing SOMETHING good.
I must have been chopping onions whilst watching this .....
Maybe some dust in the air.
Whoever disliked this video needs to get there head looking at because they are seriously mistaken for this, it is a gorgeous reflection on what has happened once before. Which would show that they are being dishonourable to the people who fought for our country and for our freedom. If it wasn’t for those amazing souls who are sadly not around any more we wouldn’t be the people we are today, and they obviously don’t like what they have done for us and for future generations. That’s disrespect at the highest point.
Faye Summerill for all you know, some people who disliked it might be veterans. Everyone has an individual point of view, and have a right to not like it. I personally don’t think it represents what I think remembrance is about, but other people think it’s an amazing dance. Doesn’t mean you can say my point of view is irrelevant
I think you are putting far too much importance on a dance. I respect all those who fought on behalf of British Empire in WW1 and WW2, I just don't wear a poppy, I also didn't think much of the dance. I do observe the silence, but I have my own way of showing my respect. Who are you to dictate how respect should be shown. Remember they fought for our freedom which you are now trying to take away with your criticism. How do you not know that I don't volunteer at wa graves to help keep them tidy?
I volunteered three times to plant poppies at the Tower when they had the sea of poppies display. Just because I don't wear a poppy or like a dance does that mean I'm ungrateful? Or disrespectful? Should I be allowed to judge everyone who did not volunteer to plant poppies as disrespectful? Maybe take a moment and have a think about how every one is different.
So moving
