My opinion on the endings: FFX’s ending was the most poetic, tragic, and emotional. FFX-2’s ending was the ending Yuna deserved. I can understand the arguments for why some people like one ending over the other. No ending in a video game has ever hit me as hard as X’s. But X-2’s ending was a joyful relief. I think the happiness of X-2’s ending even helps you appreciate X’s ending more because of how stark the contrast is.
This sounds so true. Yes, X's ending was so epic and nothing should make it less epic. But that ending was not what Yuna wants. She never wanted to become something epic. She just wanted happiness. X's ending gave Spira happiness, but gave Yuna bitterness. X-2's ending was what we (as the player) owe her. We may deserve epicness, but she deserves happiness.

i wish i liked this game more but ill skip to the cool bits :) -- the song playing at the end yuna's Ballad is one of my favourite soundtracks :D, this was a cool happy ending, but part of me resents it for rewriting the original ending, so im a solid 50/50 in the story taking this turn
I only sub to people that are honest. Crying is part of being human and you shouldn't have to apologize for it at all. Loved the reaction to an awesome game.
The more I see the "true" ending to this the more I like it. Especially when I'm watching how much other people love it and get emotionally invested. Overall I still really like the normal ending. It makes the whole journey become about loss and acceptance, which I personally find more impactful.
I completely agree with you friend, the original ending will always stand strong as it’s own and it has an insanely moving conclusion. This sequel definitely didn’t need to happen lol, but I’m glad it did regardless. I know it’s not for everyone though!

"Oh wow" Thats all you can say about FF10 and FF10-2 imo. I've often wondered why I completely love these two, the 13 trilogy, and 7 Remake dearly dearly. Motomu Toriyama directing them all is probably the thing that connects the dots ❤ My only criticism is that both games add a small scene at the end (the tidus swimming scene after yunas speech, and then the zanarkand scene after besaid beach reunion). These are sort of anti climaxes after they end in such a dramatic amazing way with "the people and the friends we have lost, never forget them" and "well, it all started when I saw this sphere of you".
Congratulations of getting this ending, that is not easy to get at all! Also very good choice of dresspheres to fight, you can never go wrong wearing those 👏👏👏

I belong to the "standard ending" group of folks but I'm not heartless, I like the perfect ending too, just not as much. I've certainly played through X and X-2 many times when I was younger, I am glad you enjoyed it. Perhaps you checked out the "Audio drama" for the proposed X-3? Who knows.... once the FF7 Remake series is done we might see a X-3 or true FFX Remake too. As for crying, don't feel bad at all.As a grown man, even I get moved to tears by a fantastic story. The fandom certainly understands it comes from a good place, that you care that much to shed tears shows us how much you are invested in the characters and story. 20 years ago I played X and X-2, having never been in a serious relationship. I wasn't old enough, wise enough, or experienced enough to appreciate the loss of someone you love being ripped away from you (X), and the relief of them returning safely (X-2). Returning to these games, I fucking bawled. The ending to these games is just straight up emotional damage and I'm here for it.

I'm sad that there will never be a FFX:III even though in the remaster, there is an extra scene that continues after the perfect ending showing how yuna and tidus's relationship starting to become rocky. Ontop of that , sin/yu/yevon ends up being wished back into the world.

I dont think I can play the game again. I was like maybe 14 when I first played the game and I cried, I thought seeing this again like 20 years later I would be cool but nah this wrecked me. FF games just have this bitter sweet ending.
Know whats funny, the thing I liked most about this game, is when they were making a speech to a massive audience in a large open arena, they were using a microphone this time.
I just finished this yesterday. Watching your videos made me want to attempt to get the platinum! I finished it at 99% 😅 but I think that's because I gave the sphere to New Yevon before. I do love the game so I will play it again 😆

When I saw this over and over again for the first time almost two decades ago, I was fairly convinced, sadly, that this ending implied, that he would eventually vanish again. The subsequent release of shorts, Last Mission and International only seemed to strengthen that hypothesis. Sorry.
Tidus was too weak to main his existence. Weiss, Vincent and Sephiroth are the strongest characters in the FF world, he should learn a thing or two from them.
X-2 was rushed it could of been good with major new characters and proper lines and story lol the basics is good but pain and the rest is not very good , and I love the series
Games will never be this good , they always need to put that micro trans or dlc , make it online only or fucking tans and gay politics to groom kids.. games a re dead, but we still have gems like this

This Ending destroyed me. One of the best endings to a game, for also one of the most underrated games. I adore it.
This whole game was truly a masterpiece , from the gameplay to the story and i know it will live on in the hearts of new and returning players.
People talk shit on this game so much and it always boggles my mind, I enjoy it just as much as FFX
