I like the switch to 3 cards instead of 4 for her ability, especially after the changes to spells
Nothing better than a Bofur video, I mean i like HS BGs but this Bofur guy is awesome, what a guy, what a world.
What a time to be alive
twitch is to some degree about entertainment, and i think some parts of jeefs audience are entertained by understanding the stuff Jeef is saying and being excited about it and learning, and another part of the audience loves hearing stuff that sounds smart (it is) but that they don't necessarily get on the level with
entertainment is weird
i also find the disconnect between jeef and rdu very funny when we see it because jeef will call something a b tier tribe and then rdu will say he hates it when that is absolutely not what b tier means
i like watching a bunch of people though, that said i started really watching you where you played tempo and then super lategame pivoted to barely clutch out games rather than now where you mostly play for highrolls on YT probably because the prior is not that different
i do miss scrappy tempo games though i dont feel like theyre really that avail on yt
pretty much agreed on all fronts :)
I def used to play differently when I was competitive. That was back during lobby legends times and I'd compete for rank 1. Nowadays there's really no competitive scene so I typically play more for shits and giggles and just make fun stuff happen.
Occasionally I like to compete, but the meta has to support variety and innovation rather than discipline and playing similar boards game after game after game. The last year of meta definitely hasn't been those types of metas, so I'm pretty much a memer nowadays. ;)
At the drop of new patches theres often some frontloaded tryharding before the meta is "solved" and we're back to memes!
On turn 10, wouldn't it have been better to buy the recycling wraith first to have DS wraith, and then buy the surprise to have a pair for a potential DS Magmaloc later on? Not to mention by buying the surprise you had a chance to thriple magmaloc instead on a 50/50
TLDR: 2x surprise + 1 recycling has higher base stats than 2x recycling + 1 surprise. If you u actually use the extra surprise for another triple it can be better, but otherwise it's worse.
Overall, I'd typically avoid this level of greed, since normally you'd just be cycling the elemental of surprise unless you immediately triple it. We don't have the luxury of golding a minion in these circumstances unless its really, really valuable. And magmaloc doesn't make that cut. Maybe if we had tethys or 2 before then we'd have that econ. It just doesn't fit the current amount of gold.
I'd just prefer to buy only premium eles unless we're down to
I get what you mean, on the holding onto the surprise being too greedy... however, you still risked thripling Magmaloc over the Wraith by buying the surprise first, unless there's a way to guarantee the Wraith being thripled, which is what I was more hung up on. Was the logic there just that you were willing to risk goldening the Magmaloc just because worst case scenario the tempo swing would be enough? Or is there a hidden mechanic I'm not aware of that Surprise uses to choose which elemental it thriples?
yeah that's completely fair. is the risk of 50/50 wraith vs magmaloc triple first worth the loss of value of making 1 triple weaker? It's a solid question for sure. I'd still go with the quality triple first and figure out the rest afterwards, but you could argue that weaker, but guaranteed wraith is superior when ahead by this much. I'd buy that in hindsight, but not in typical positions. We are very, very ahead so you're right. It's probably take the guaranteed lower tempo line knowing we win most of the time from this spot as long as we remain on-pace.
Nice
❤
Why dont you upload you struggling third places? Turn +13 games are always interesting regardless of placement 😊
How about ”unlimited cards” next turn? 😅
Meh, I can see 2nd places, but I doubt everyone feels good about watching 3rd places
It's just not a viable troupe for youtube nowadays. With the method of how the algorithm works, those videos are hammered into oblivion and sink channels. When everyone is making highroll content it's either make similar or completely diverge from the pattern. Doing occasional content otherwise would really sink analytics. Really a new channel would be needed for such content imo.
The only interesting possible 3rd place game would be like an insane highroll game, losing to someone else with an even crazier highroll. But even then, its the kind of thing you would see once in a blue moon.
The point of youtube vids tho is to see those crazy games that are either super highroll or unique game-winning comps. Anyone can play a game and post them coming 3rd/4th with an average board, but how is that entertaining? Honestly those are the kinda channels that i choose the option to not recommend again and I never see them after that
@@slikkonikko8971 thats why i wrote plus turn 13.
A third could be a number one.
If you lost with 0.1%, i would like to see that.
The gamed where you did everything right but still lost is the most interesting for me.
If there is such a thing as everything right?
Can someone explain why is it so much better, last patch it never seen play and i think i remember bofur selling gold one for peggy or something. Now even plain one is somehow broken?
You have to look at what it costs in total to get multiple spells, not just for each individual trigger. Sure the first trigger is only one card bought difference, but by the time you've got to just the 4th trigger you've now only bought 12 cards instead of 16. It's incredibly faster now.
yeah as nick said, the return on investment is radically faster now. 3 cards instead of 4 is way faster, especially when the spell given often triggers at least a portion (if not a full) first buy out of the next set of 3. Pair that with brann/tethys/recycling wraith or other gold+ catalysts and we're talking about 3+ procs per turn., It snowballs very, very quickly.
