    There ya go 🔥🤜
Two of the best ever and most loved singers from Australia 🇦🇺 . Although Jimmy was born in Scotland and John England, both came to Aus as young children and neither consider themselves as anything but fully fledged Aussies now.
Two extraordinary voices with great personalities. John is really funny, bloke next door kind of fella and really knows how to connect individually with his audience, yet also has a really private life.. And Jimmy has rock star charisma, has lived a troubled life and is totally out there. Both are totally family men.
Can't wait to see what you discover next. They've both had amazing careers spanning decades so there is so much for you to discover.🤩

This song was done by Sam and Dave, in the US, Jimmy did a "Soul Deep" album, 30 years ago, check the bass drum skin in this clip. Recently Jimmy did a duet with Dave Moore of "Soothe Me," which is on yt, but also on the 30th anniversary album, with other extras.
Jimmy and John were born in the UK, but grew up in australia, Jimmy's brother-in-law Diesel is from America. A few of the AC/DC band members and the Easybeats, the Bee Gees as well as Olivia Newton-John are all from the UK as well, most came here quite young. We have a long list of great artists who are aussie through and through, but we often adopt people who love it here as well. I've heard it said, "live to work," aussies more often "work to live," we know how to have good fun. I love the smile this one gave you, all the best.

John did special shows including his anthology one, on Hey Hey, if you'd like to see him sing unusual genres. Try "everything's alright" on hey hey, with the Jesus Christ Superstar cast.

As an Australia I have always had a love affair with jazz/blues/soul/rock music. I can remember listening to Bessie Smith as a child and even now in my 70’s I still break out with “I’m a steamroller baby and I’m gunna roll all over you”. Love your appreciation of our own much loved musical talent. I have another CZcams performance for you which I think you would love
The Black Sorrows singing “Never Let Me Go”. Linda and Vika really give it their all with Joe and the guys.

Yep! That's our Barnsy and Farnsy ... and Diesel! There are some awesome versions of this live, where they finish a cappella. Live Farnham is always on another level!
So now you have three rabbit holes that go back decades! Jimmy started with a band called Cold Chisel in the 70s who are also iconic downunder. They cultivated a distinctly Aussie sound. They were amazing and back then, Jimmy was a vodka swilling wild man on stage with some legendary antics. Ian Moss is another who sings lead in the band and they are amazing together. Jimmy then went solo as a rock singer before he did Soul Deep - his biggest selling album apparently. Farnsy joined in on this one, and they did a few other songs together over the years. John can sing anything - one minute he's doing opera (and comedy) with Anthony Warlow, the next, he and his background singers (Lindsay, Lisa and Venetta) will take you to church with Amazing Grace. The guitarist, Mark Lizotte, aka Diesel, aka Johnny Diesel, and aka Johnny Diesel & the Injectors, aka Barnsy's BIL is another one to chase up. As mentioned, all born overseas but grew up here - that's pretty much the story of Australia ... which makes me think you should also react to the Seekers "I am Australian: Special Farewell Performance (all 5 verses)" too. 😍Get well Farnsy 💕

Number 1: The live version of this song is just as good, if not better. You must give it a look. Second: Jimmy Barnes just released a duet with Sam Moore of the famous duo, Sam and Dave called Soothe Me. You must give it a listen!

Ok, the guitar playing man is Johny Diesel. Look up Cold Chisel, that's Jimmy Barnes's band. Brilliant, I'm Aussie so a little bias 🇦🇺
