This is a cover of a Sam and Dave song by two Australian legends who are even better live! They have been doing their thing for decades. Farnsy (the blonde one) just had massive emergency surgery at the age of 73 to remove cancerous tumour from his mouth. Had his jaw reconstructed and will probably never sing again. He has given us so much for long. The entire nation is in shock and wishing him well. His cover of the Beatles "Help" is legendary. They do other stuff together too. 💕

I first discovered Jimmy and John singing this incredibly soul bending song about a year ago. I can say without hesitation that they have two of the best male singing voices I’ve ever heard. I can’t believe that I had never heard them perform before. Both are gifted and extraordinarily talented vocalists.

These three men are all unbelievably amazing singers.
The blonde John is one of the best singers in the entire world, just ask all the other legends around the globe and they will point at him despite he never really bothered with international fame. He can sing any and all genre's and his myriad of songs are testament.
The other singer Jimmy is just like John, but he prefers his Rock, Blues and Soul.
The guitarist Diesel is well known for his Blues and Soul sound, and his voice is something else despite not hearing it very much in this song.
You will not be disappointed in listening to any of these three men sing in their own individual works.
Being music gods in Australia they will lead you to even more singers of their same caliber and some possibly even better.
They all surrounded themselves with only the very best musicians and talent.
Just remember to always listen to any of these people LIVE at all times, they are always best live where they can put everything they have into every performance.

It's nice to see you again! The last some time ago was when you did a great reaction to The Teskey Brothers singing , 'Hold Me' at 'The Forum 'in Melbourne, Australia.
These guys are from Australia, too. The dark-haired man is Jimmy Barnes, the blondie is John Farnham and the guitarist-singer is Diesel. All are separately famous in the music scene here. A better video of this song by this trio is a one on You Tube on a show named, 'Hey, Hey It's Saturday' where this song is done LIVE.
John Farnham is my favourite and is considered as music royalty here. He has a powerful voice with a big vocal range. His career spans 5 to 6 decades and he can sing in about 20 different music genres. He is brilliant and best seen and heard LIVE where his Soul shines! He has some fabulous videos on YT with The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
John is the consummate showman with an incredible electric and charismatic energy. Often his songs will carry a message for the greater good of the world. Audiences love him. Please check out more of his music. Lots of Aussie and other fans will be waiting for that.

    Nice reaction
    welcome to the rabbit hole
all Aussie icons we haven't even scratched the surface as our female singers as good
Also we have some really good modern day male female singers as well most of our are singer song writers and produce their own music
You need to watch their live stuff if you thought that was good
you can pick anything with John Farnham and Melbourne symphony orchestra but he has 5 decades of hits
Does Beatles song (help) live they praised him for it
He's called the voice so watch the song (you're the voice) live
Back in black he covered of AC/DC live
Black dog he covered led zeppelin live
Amazing grace with back up singer vendetta and Lindsay fields live
Angels with other back up singer Lisa Edwards live
This shows you john's true personality
Only scratching the surface with these from John Farnham
As he sings every genre you can think of rock blues opera ballets anything
Same for Jimmy barnes live performances
anything live as well try Jimmy barnes and Joe bonamassa (Stone cold)
Jimmy barnes and Tina Turner simply the best
    Working class man
    Driving wheels
    Many more hits
He was part of a band called cold chisel
First song is with one of the other band member ian moss
who is current singer and as good in his own right live performances
    Bow River
    When the war is over
    Chior girl
    Geogia on my mind
Them you have the guitarist you listen to with them
    Name johnny diesel
He's a great singer as well look his music up as well
Good luck with list these are only a few of these guys

This song really does something to me too. I can listen to it over and over again. The USA gave the world Soul and Blues and Gospel and the world fell in love, and sang right back.
Barnsey and Farnsey are two of the world's greatest singers individually. And what is magical about both of them is that they are both amazing duetists who have collaborated with so many other artists. Barnsey in particular is so good at reigning in his powerhouse voice to let the other person shine too.

Jimmy Barnes brother in law was the guy on the guitar (Diesel). Jimmy was once the King of Rock, and John has been the King of Pop. He started with SADIE THE CLEANING LADY (on youtube) in 1967. I think he would now consider himself retired as he had part of his jaw removed in a 12 hour operation the other day for cancer. He's 72/73 now. John was a good friend of Olivia Newton John and they had similar histories having come from England to Melbourne, Victoria. Both were in the business in the 1960's in Melbourne. They worked together with albums and there is a 2 hour beautiful concert on youtube called THE MAIN EVENT with them and Anthony Warlow who was Australia's Phantom from PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. John does a wonderful concert too with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra with songs like HELP and YOU'RE THE VOICE - both on youtube. Also check out on youtube the 2000 Sydney Olympics Opening Ceremony with ONJ and John singing DARE TO DREAM.

When Jimmy and John get together, it’s big vocals for sure. Two Australian song book killers. Please review Jimmy Barnes and Joe Bonnamassa “ Stone Cold” Jimmy still knocking it out 30 yrs later.

Diesel great guitar 🎸 player but also lead singer and they are all still performing live 40yrs later. Although John Fareham is battling throat cancer. He's still the best voice of Australia ever. Barney still rocking

Jimmy Barnes, Johnny Diesel on guitar and a singer and our Golden Boy John Farnham. We have a lot of great singers in Australia that no one knew about. The difference is we listen to and watch everyone else.
John has one of the top voices in the world and I haven’t seen any genre he can’t sing including Opera. His range is huge, he is a showman, funny, kind and so loved. Always better live and he leaves it all on the stage. Watch him sing Help, live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. The Beatles wrote it but John showed them how to sing it and I loved the Beatles. I am sure there are many artists afraid John would do a cover of their song and for a good reason.
Get well John because you really don’t want me to come and sing to you. My husband hides if I sing.

I lived in New Jersey for a while back in the sixties, this was the kind of music I remember on the local soul stations... means so much to me to hear people still singing these truly great songs, and that people still appreciate them... the really fine thing is that people are willing to open their hearts and let the soul come through...

THEN I realised you were surprised and liked it.
John Farnham and Jimmy Barnes are legends in Australia. I’m just about to bat my half century and I can’t remember a time these men, with their incredible voices, weren’t in my life. Even two white fellas can have soul. 💝💝💝

@@SoulSessionSundays Thank you so much for replying. It is greatly appreciated. Australians adore these men, including Diesel who does backing vocals and the guitar solo.
Most of us are very worried about John Farnham. He just had surgery for oral cancer and we won’t be receiving any updates until he has had reconstructive surgery. He is the sweetest man. I’m fortunate enough to have seen him perform live.

One of them, Jimmy Barnes, is actually Scottish but has lived in Australia for many years. I have been enjoying both artists for many years. Look up the group Cold Chisel, Jimmy Barnes's original group.

He was born in Scotland but he has been an Australian citizen for decades. He doesn't consider himself Scottish so please don't be disrespectful by calling him something he isn't.

I love watching someone experience some of greatest Aussie talent for the 1st time. These guys have been part of the soundtrack to my life, and I feel blessed that we have such a depth of extraordinary musical talent here in Oz. Heal well soon John. John Farnham, Jimmy Barnes (both with and without band Cold Chisel) and guitarist Diesel have a huge catalogue for you to explore. You could check out the unique Matt Corby, Tash Sultana, The Tesky Brothers and the Waifs.....the list of Aussie talent is endless.

Legends of the Australian Music Industry. Aussie Rock Royalty. Jimmy, Johnny, and Mark are absolute icons. This song still gives me chills, even though it is over 30 years old now. John Farnham was the first concert I ever went to (in the mid 80s) and I have been a fan ever since. Jimmy is just as amazing and he always gives me goosebumps, no matter what he is singing. The bitter-sweet note to this is John Farnham has recently had cancer removed from his mouth, and it looks like his performing days are over. It breaks my heart to know of the new generation of fans who will never get to experience how electrifying he is in person.
