Whilst most prefer live performances from both these guys, I really love this recording, the chemistry is insane as is their mutual respect. Diesel is a legend too, Jimmy's brother in law. I read a comment ages ago from someone in the know (supposedly, I have no clue if it's true but I love the story) that when the guys were recording this they were drinking and when finished John had a car waiting. Ten minutes later a call came through from the driver saying John had forgotten where he lived and he had to get him home! True or not I love it..
Jimmy, John and Diesel are all fantastic in their own right, but together they all show respect for each other and give everyone their time to shine. Pure music joy ❤

Totally. It's so obvious how much they both just love singing, and to sing together with Diesel is icing on the cake for them. The chemistry is electric, and you could keep the lights on in a fair sized city from the power they generate.

Diesel on guitar is awesome also and has some fantastic bluesy songs of his own.
the bloke on the guitar, Diesel (John Lizzotte) is actually Barney's Brother-in-Law and somewhat of a legend himself in Aussie music circles. The boys certainly do have a great chemistry. Great reaction.

This is my favourite version of this song. You can see Jimmy and John are loving doing the song, as well as dueting with a good mate. Their passion for singing is ever present in every song they do.

Interesting trivia about this video, the bottle of alcohol on the table was real, and you see it at various levels throughout the video, and by the end of filming, John famously couldn’t remember where he lived 😂

Hey Guys. Great song. Great reaction. This is vocally on point. Another song that is vocally on point which I'm dying for you guys to react to is a cover of Eminems lose yourself by Australian country singer Kasey Chambers. It is a live and the only live version of the song. When I first seen the title I was thinking Hmmm, A rap song sung by an Australian country singer, not sure about that... But honestly it will blow your mind. Thanks again for your reaction.

Set up like a reflection of the night aor an impromptu jam session after a gig, the AC is off so it's a bit smoky, a half finished bottle of Jack on the table, a bit of banter while trying a new song, or polishing the harmonies for next time. Either way, the 3 of them are enjoying themselves.

One of my earliest memories is seeing Jimmy (and Diesel) in concert. I was 3 years old and he was my first musical love.
I have not had the privilege of seeing John perform live, but this song is one of my favourites and I love seeing others find joy in the music of our legends Barnesy and Farnsey 🇦🇺

There was an early screening of John movie tonight. His son’s didn’t know how hard his life was until tonight. They said thank you because John didn’t know how much he was still loved and it helped. Thank you.
From memory it was 1991. I bought the cassette tape single for my car which was that song on A & B sides. When one side finished hitting one button played the reverse side immediately. Over & over....
Their voices together are phenomenal, the guitarist is Johnny Diesel who is a singer/songwriter in his own right and is also Jimmy Barnes's brother in law

One of my favourite songs and I have to agree with you, the video is excellent, fits the mood of the song and makes you wish you were sitting with them sharing a drink and the story. Awesome.
Great song and performances all round and John’s vocal agility on show here again and endless range. But you need to look at the live version, always react to John live where possible.

An autobiographical movie on John “Finding His Voice” has been announced for release at the cinema for mid-May. This may be why access is being blocked … I could be wrong, it was just a thought.

The guitarist Johnny Diesel 🎸 is Jimmy's brother inlaw and. He is a legend in his own right. Both Jimmy and Diesel's kids sing.

Here i was growing up watching these 2 here in Australia in the 70's and 80's and not once did i think that i was hearing the best of the best in the world.
I just thought it was 'normal'. Normal meaning you don't get publicity or fans unless your good. Then modern music slowly came to the fore front ..ugh.
I now realize that they were the best of the best compared to what is being touted as music today. How the standards have fallen.😪

The guitar you didn't like was a Fender. They have a reputation for being twangy. Many guitarists won't use them, for that reason.
