Welcome back guys!! Today is another busy day in the Proven Power Cycles shop! We are making some big progress on the land speed record bike. New massive injectors, fittings for the fuel lines, Turbo kit has been installed. We're mocking everything up as we go which takes a bunch of time because we have to remove stuff and put it back on. This is just part of the process to ensure our routing is perfect when it's finished. We also installed a lock-up clutch with a spacer plate. Also, if you're trying to do some of this at home, remember that you need thread tape on your NPT fittings! NA fittings do NOT get tape. This is a common mistake which can cause your motorcycle to leak oil from the turbo. Once we used thread tape, we were able to stop all of the oil leaks. Luis has also been rebuilding the zx14 engine. On this engine we also did a balance shaft delete. And right now, It seems like everything in here is a turbo bike. Lots of turbo motorcycles coming in! By the end of the video, we throw the 2007 ZX14 on the dyno and we're able to show you what a bad clutch looks and feels like when shown on the graphs. A slipping motorcycle clutch can cost you tons of power so it's important to ensure it's in good condition. Especially if you're going to be running it hard.

I definitely had that loop de loop you mentioned in the video. We couldn't tell if it was clutch or tire slipping as the tire was breaking loose on the dyno in the early runs.

NEVER SKIMP ON THE MOTOR BUILD, get your budget together so you kno what your dealing with. A reputable engine builder is a must. 6-8k will get you 235-245 horsepower on a ZX14 build on engine alone. If it ain't that they didn't build it right.
