What advice do you have for new players?
To add to your point about guarding, try timing the block to get the "perfect guard" to occur to be able to block multiple attacks. I've only attempted to do it 3 times back to back. No guard break yet. I usually mix it up, but perfect block came in handy during times where tornadoes were getting hectic etc.
1 sigil you need to invest in is damage cap
how you increase sigils without using materials?
Only invest in 5+ sigils. Definitely not 4+

Most important thing about flat bonus to health and attack is that they make your percent increases bigger, so they combo well. For the attack sigils specifically, flat attack can be worth it before you have a full build because every other form of attack increase only works by making you more fragile, or only works under certain conditions. 50% attack increase might be more than 2000 attack, but might not if it's only applying to enemies with status ailments/requires a perfect block/requires you to be max hp/etc.

Can I put Potion hoarder on a A.I. controlled character and still get the effect of it or does it only work on the controlled character?
Only controlled character, don't put it on a cpu
For doing the story, do I just keep upgrading my weapons or is it better to wait to later on?
Good to upgrade cz it unlocks extra traits for your character
There's no downside to upgrading, even if you switch weapons you still unlock stat bonuses that apply to that character even when you switch weapons
Another tip is to not spam dodge. After the third dodge you take frames to recover while leaves you vulnerable however if you only dodge once or twice you don't need to recover.
You can guard while dodging, this can cover your recovery
Sometimes when you dodge your charatcer becomes invincible for a few seconds
can we reset the masteries?
I'm playing on full assist mode and I'm loving it. It's hard for me to get into games like this, so it helps. I can enjoy the game without getting so stressed out.
Proud and ultimate difficulty sadly disallow assist mode so be aware of that
@Derpykin Good! What would be the point of having harder content if you could just use assist mode. 😂
I think the best way to use assist mode is to learn when you can dodge and guard by watching the AI do it for you. Then take that knowledge into the higher difficulties. Full assist seemed worse because the AI would just attack and put itself in danger by animation locking itself in a position where it could not dodge out of the way. With normal assist you can choose not to attack, which is always safer.
i actually slept on the guard myself. Just realized how good it was in the post game.
Same here. Took me way too long to realize strong attacks wouldn’t break my guard in one attack
A couple things:
1. You can get sigils that have multiple character specific traits on one sigil through the transmarvel system.
2. You can AFK grind with the assist feature and Rackam as your character. Since they can hit from anywhere, there is no need to move.
3. Can be paired with the previous tip: you want to grind the bosses that drop Fire and Earth shards (Gallanza and I think Vulcan). There is a repeatable quest that collects 5 of each for a reward of 700 mastery points and some fortitude crystals. You can reset this quest by going into the journal menu and then back out.

When I wanna dodge I press and hold L1 then dodge at the same time if I press late I will guard. It will save your ass if you're trying to go for a perfect dodge every now and then.
If you're talking about perfect dodging, why not mention perfect guard? You also didn't mention the sigils that help prevent your guard from being broken. Nor did you mention the sigils that increase your invincibility, defense and recover health after a perfect guard. If guarding was your first tip, why focus so much on perfect dodging over perfect guarding?? Did you even demonstrate a perfect guard?
Because the point is perfect dodging is easier and more versatile, but you can guard (without perfect guarding) and still tank one hit. If you're in a situation where you need s, you're usually going to perfect dodge, not perfect guard.

For me its working fine tested it with an rtx 3070(laptop) and with an radeon 7900 XTX both systems running the game without problems.
I dont get it that for some the game does not boot and some have even a rtx 4080 or even 4090.
Try reinstall the drivers and disable cfg on windows 10 and 11.

What are your specs, I find it bizarre cause my setup is probably not even mid tier anymore by the current pc gen standards
Like I am playing with an i5 rtx3050ti 16gb ram laptop and it's playing fine with no crashes whatsoever in the default 1080p all ultra settings.
I saw some steam reviews and I almost can't believe rtx4090 pc people claims it crashes in just with the start up for them.
