  • In this video, I am installing free mirrors I found on Facebook Marketplace and are perfect for my garage gym. I could not find a video on CZcams that was concise enough for me to follow and install these mirrors. So, if you watch the video you will see that I am kind of learning as I go. I am not very tool savvy, but I like DIY projects at home, so it is not my first time using a drill or hanging anything. However, it is my first time drilling into concrete with the proper tools.
    TOOLS I USED FOR THIS VIDEO:
    - Chicago Electric Hammer Drill: www.harborfrei...
    - PITTSBURGH 72 In. Box Frame Level: www.harborfrei...
    - OOK 1/4 in. Adjustable Mirror Clip (8-Pack): www.homedepot....
    - Tapcon 3/16 in. x 2-3/4 in. White Ultrashield Phillips Flat-Head Concrete Anchors (25-Pack): www.homedepot....
    - Bosch BlueGranite Turbo Carbide Hammer Drill Bits Assortment Pack (5-Piece): www.homedepot....
    - DEWALT ATOMIC 20-Volt MAX Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless Compact Drill/Impact Combo Kit (2-Tool) 2 Batteries 1.3Ah and Charger: www.homedepot....

    THANK YOU! Just picked up a free mirror for my gym and was worried about concrete and hanging it. Nothing better than watching someone do it first and make mistakes so I don’t have to. 😆

      This is so true! I come to CZcams to learn how to be an adult basically. 😅
      Always learn from others’ mistakes. Good luck with the hanging!

    Awesome video. I’m doing the same thing for a friend. The only change I did from your video is that I’m using an aluminum J channel for the bottom mirror support.

      I’m glad this was some help. I didn’t even know about the J channel until after.🤦🏾‍♂️

    In the process of doing the same thing. Having trouble finding mirrors at a reasonable price that are of good quality. Do you mind sharing where you purchased your mirrors from? Thank you and I really appreciate the video!

      I got these off Facebook marketplace for free actually. You would be surprised how cheap some people will sell these at times. However, I live in Florida in a populated metro area and this may not be the case if you live in a less populated area. I have since found more mirrors that are either free or very inexpensive. Good luck in your search Patrick!

    Would adhesive not be a viable option?

    • @ChiefDelRey
      @ChiefDelRey  Před 3 lety

      I suppose it would be. Unfortunately, I do not know enough on the subject and this happened to work for me. The addition of adhesive or other methods may work just as well, if not better. Again, this worked for me and should work for others as well. They are still holding strong to this day if that helps. Lol

    When you look like me you avoid mirrors.
