Bubble tea😅

I absolutely love this simple and stunning explanation video. My question would be: Is it 100g liquid for 1g agar Agar? Because I would love to experiment with different kind of flavors too.
Greetings from Germany 👋🏼
Thank you very much! Yes 100 ml to 1 gm is the best ratio. You might want to adjust the agar quantity if using very sour liquid.
@@CulinaryPorch sour liquid like lime or lemon? And what ratio would you adjust to and can gelatin be used in place of agar agar
@@randommmrandom868 For any liquid high in sourness (lime, lemon, vinegar). For such liquid 1.25 to 1.5% agar of the liquid amount would be suitable. Agar is the best additive for this but if you are willing to use gelatin then may be around 2 to 3 % gelatin of the liquid should be fine. But you will have to wait for the mix to cool down and find a correct balance. Shape could be a challange too. Agar is good as it jellifies at 40 to 45°C which is not the case with gelatin. Hope this answers your question.
Hi Sir, thank you for the recipe. I wanted to understand how to store these pearls overnight. Is it possible to store them?
Yes it is definitely possible to store. Just cling wrap the container with it and place it in Chiller.
For how long must be bubbles in the oil. 1 minute or more? Thank you for answer.
If the oil temperature is chilled then it should gelify immediately. It doesn't take long. For assurity, take a piece out and check.
Thank you for showing the process. Could you share me how long can we preserve it on refrigerator or how we can keep it preserved for as long as we can?
Always a pleasure sharing . If you want to store it, you could transfer them to an Airtight container and keep them in chiller for up to 4 days. However, as it just takes few minutes to prepare them, I prefer producing them when needed.
Hey can you make the same with alcohol, if yes then do u have to boil it
Yes it can be made with Alcohol. If you boil, the alcohol is going to evaporate. So it would be good to warm the alcohol but boil the agar with some water instead and add the mix to the warm alcohol and follow the precess.
Hello chef , how long they last? Thank you
Hi! In an airtight container, it should keep well for 2-3 days. However, I prefer fresh ones as it actually doesn't take long to prep.
Sir how to store them
If you want to store it, you could transfer them to an Airtight container or cling wrap them and keep them in chiller for up to 3 days. However, as it just takes few minutes to prepare them, I prefer producing them when needed.
It didnt work at my attempt. What did i do wrong? The bubbles felt togehter when i put it in to the sieve.
Hi! There could be a few reasons for that problem. The agar quantity is not enough or the oil temperature was not cold enough to solidify it. Do check the quality of the agar as well. Hope this helps
@@CulinaryPorchi'll try it again today!
@@aidanviets7286 good luck 👍🏼
Didn't work again :(
How cold has the oil to be?
can we put these pearls in hot tea without expanding in it ?
Shouldn't be a problem in warm tea, but may not last for long in hot tea.
What oil did you use?
I just used regular soy oil.
I tried it at home but it didnt work. So you have any tipps
Hi! Could you DM me the ingredients and quantities you used ? Also tell me what was the problem? If you have a picture then even better. You may DM me in insta. Link is in the description.
Hello Sir, I am from Arab countries. Can I know what you put in the beginning? What is the ground mixture?
It is agar agar!
@@CulinaryPorch can you use regular gelatin from the store
@@Crystalmains1 as gelatin takes time to set it wouldn't be appropriate. Agars are available in Asian marts.
@@CulinaryPorch Also gelatin is made from animals (usualy pigs) so is not suitable for vegans or people that don't eat pig out of religious motivation.. Agar Agar is plant based so is suitable for everyone 🙂
Can we make milk caviar?
Yes for sure. Flavour sweetened milk would taste better than just milk.
What kind of oil did you use?
@@chefkecia for this one I simply used soy oil.
@@CulinaryPorch thank you
@@chefkecia most welcome
