    I absolutely love this simple and stunning explanation video. My question would be: Is it 100g liquid for 1g agar Agar? Because I would love to experiment with different kind of flavors too.
    Greetings from Germany 👋🏼

    • @CulinaryPorch
      @CulinaryPorch  Před rokem +2

      Thank you very much! Yes 100 ml to 1 gm is the best ratio. You might want to adjust the agar quantity if using very sour liquid.

    • @randommmrandom868
      @randommmrandom868 Před rokem +1

      @@CulinaryPorch sour liquid like lime or lemon? And what ratio would you adjust to and can gelatin be used in place of agar agar

    • @CulinaryPorch
      @CulinaryPorch  Před rokem +3

      @@randommmrandom868 For any liquid high in sourness (lime, lemon, vinegar). For such liquid 1.25 to 1.5% agar of the liquid amount would be suitable. Agar is the best additive for this but if you are willing to use gelatin then may be around 2 to 3 % gelatin of the liquid should be fine. But you will have to wait for the mix to cool down and find a correct balance. Shape could be a challange too. Agar is good as it jellifies at 40 to 45°C which is not the case with gelatin. Hope this answers your question.

      If the oil temperature is chilled then it should gelify immediately. It doesn't take long. For assurity, take a piece out and check.

      @CulinaryPorch  Před 2 měsíci

      Always a pleasure sharing . If you want to store it, you could transfer them to an Airtight container and keep them in chiller for up to 4 days. However, as it just takes few minutes to prepare them, I prefer producing them when needed.

    Hey can you make the same with alcohol, if yes then do u have to boil it

    • @CulinaryPorch
      @CulinaryPorch  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Yes it can be made with Alcohol. If you boil, the alcohol is going to evaporate. So it would be good to warm the alcohol but boil the agar with some water instead and add the mix to the warm alcohol and follow the precess.

    • @CulinaryPorch
      @CulinaryPorch  Před 5 měsíci +1

      Hi! There could be a few reasons for that problem. The agar quantity is not enough or the oil temperature was not cold enough to solidify it. Do check the quality of the agar as well. Hope this helps
