Okay. I just got my Nomatic Travel Bag (and all the accessories). Already, I am in love with this bag! It's the James Bond of all bags! I travel every other week, and I just loaded everything that I usually take in my duffle AND my laptop bag all in this one bag ... AND I have space to spare. I read some concerns about weight. It isn't heavy at all ... even after I had the entire thing packed. This bag is truly unbelievable! This would make a fantastic graduation gift.
Thanks! I've had mine a month now and it's my go-to bag. I have so much fun packing. If you get the vacuum bag (which I recommend, and it's ingenious), you really won't believe how much you pack. Girls are known for taking everything they own when they travel, and I have packed this for two weeks in Europe, and I still have room. After watching Magical Beasts and Where to Find Them, I feel like my suitcase is a bit like the bag Newt carries-you start to wonder if magic is involved!
I think it would be more the suitcase and not the personal item. It's about 22 inches long, and I think that would stick out more than they would want. The length of the bag would be the only concern. You'd be okay on height.
i love the concept as with it being able to fit in the headspace with airlines now charging extra for booking luggage in. will have to wait and see if it comes down under. Thank you
Amazing I always seek versatility in a backpack and you guys brought it. I am really going to purchase this, as I always love versatile items like these.
I admit, I was a bit skeptical about it being the most functional backpack. Watching the features and looking at your website, I have to say I'm very impressed. This is pretty much a checklist of the features I've been looking for in a bag. I'll be ordering one the next time I plan to take a trip.
If this had a couple wheels on the bottom and room for a serious laptop I'd be buying one of these suckers right away. The hunt for the perfect bag continues.
It was between this bag and the peak design one, both of which I found on indiegogo, and a north face bag when I was looking for a school bag upgrade about a week ago. Decided to go with peak one. This bag, like the _actual bag_ part of the bag is wicked nice for travelling. And the addons are definitely going in one of my suitcases (however not this thing). My primary reason for not putting my money in that bag is that it just looks really uncomfortable to carry. It doubles as a backpack alright, but with dangling straps and no waist belt, it's a no-go for regular use. In the long run, it will probably still be a better investment, just because the material is good (and will perhaps actually last you a lifetime), and if you're super freaking out about the straps, then you could add your own or have someone else stitch on some.
I was going to purchase it..however I needed a bag now. I guess shipments are not for another few more months. it looks awesome... so I got the...AER Travel Bag its similar on size.however slightly smaller with a shoe compartment too. so I purchased it. nomadic would of been my first choice.. however the AER Travel Bag is not bad at all.
Hey guys. Quite a nice design for the bag but I have a question that I can't find an answer to. What is the weight of the bag both with and without the add-ons? While you mentioned the size and how it meets most carry-on limits (too big for Spirit Air though - 18"x14"x8"), you failed to mention the weight. The reason it is important is that some airlines, especially the low cost carriers, have weight limits that are more stringent than the size limits. Air Asia, for instance, has the standard size limit but has a 7 kg limit for carry-on and Ryan Air has a 10kg limit. I have looked at many carry-on bags and too many of them weight in at 2+ kg which really cuts into the total weight of what you can carry. Weight was a key issue for me since I travel exclusively carry-on only. My current bag is a Rick Steves Classic Back Door Bag which weighs in at 1.95 pounds (.88 kg). While not as pretty as yours, it has been with me all over Europe and Asia and is still in great condition.
The Lowepro Flipside Sport series is pretty good for weight, and has the same full length opening from the person-side for safety. I have the 20L and I think I'll get the 10L as well. They are approx 1.6kg for the 20L and 900g for the 10L, but if you remove the padded camera compartment they are about 1/3 lighter. I've not measured the 10L yet but since it has less pockets I think it might even be half the weight without the padded compartment.
it's 4-5 pounds with the laundry bag. I don't wanna be an asshole here but you could have found it in under 5 seconds if you had googled your question.
Hey Herb! There is an attachable/removable hip belt included in the purchase of the travel bag and a removable hard case for sunglasses/breakables. However, the laptop case is not removable. Still, I find it's a great place to stash books/easy access items when I travel without my laptop. Hope that helps!
waiting for luggage bag with suits organiser and a week sufficient packables and convenient spaces for purchasable things on tours. and most importantly luggage handler theifs proof.
one issue the bag I just got compared to this video does not have the removable back pack clips for straps to access the main compartment better. little issue
What type of travel bag you need, you can select from amazon. More then 50,000 travel bag in one place. All world best brand . Diffrent diffrent degine, coloure. Very easy to buy from home.
I placed my order in November 2016. After almost five months I received a few reminder from a british forwarding company called GFS Gateway Logistics via email. First I thought it is spam but then it turned out to be the Nomatic travel bag. They claimed around 32,14 GBP for customs duties and processing fees (about 39 Euro or 41 USD). To be honest, it is still not here but I already regret my choice purchasing it. Regards from Germany.
It seems to me that the laptop pocket should be close to the back and NOT on the outside of the pack. Laptop's are probably the heaviest item people carry. It would be more ergonomic and comfortable to carry that weight as close to the back as possible. I wonder how much the pack weighs? I could not find the weight listed on the Nomatic web site. Perhaps I missed it? Weight is an important factor when evaluating a travel pack even though it is, obviously, not the only consideration.
Definitely see what you're saying. Our designers have found that with all the things people put in their travel bags, in addition to their laptop, the weight distributes well. Also the weight of the bag itself is 4 lb. Hope that helps!
it look great except about safety? as you say "easy opening" well I'm gonna be backpacking around south america for a year and in some big city I don't want be worried that someone could easily open my bag you know...
Looks like weight won't be easily distributed for heavy loads. Gonna strain your back since it doesn't have hip belts (which is too small to have one).
Laptop and tablet portion needs to be removable with some sort of added strap for business travel. Also missing small hard case compartment for sunglass/breakables storage. The one flat side leaves a lot to be desired aesthetically. Otherwise it's an interesting bag.
You've got a few options but I would recommend the waterproof compartment on the top. That way you can stick a wet umbrella in there without worrying that it will ruin your belongings. If you've got a collapsible umbrella, it should fit great.
this is portable but I have a quation this is back pack and carry bag but this is not trolly now a days it's must add this feature like ur bag portablity
A lot of great ideas and pockets, but no hip belt and putting the computer and tablet pocket on the outer side of the bag, furthest away from the body when worn as a backpack, eliminate consideration of this bag for me.
