    RIP
Ironically he has been said to have been one of the last surviving grunge icons (minus perl jam but they are diet grunge at best). He also was one of the more musically proficient of the bunch and I don't think he gets the credit, maybe he will now. This is also fucked because they were on tour and still on the grind, there could have been another record in the future.

What the fuck does that have to do with anything? Travis is a complete drug head! At least Todd and Jessie could play. Todd was and is a great acoustic player and taught music for a while in Louisville KY at Moms music, I knew him. Travis is a waste of space and out of his mind, has been for a long time now!

      well said.
this 30 year old IDIOT was clearly not remotely
even prepared to conduct a proper interview
      with anyone!
seemed like he was coked up or had to
      go to the men's room?!?
Chris was poised and carried himself very well.
He has probably met far too many who call
      themselves "journakists"...& figured he'd give
the kid a chance. Just shows how laid back Chris was.
      RIP C C
Too, anyone could tell something was very wrong at his last performance!!!!!
Someone should have been next to him entire time!!!!!
There was a lot going on it was so clear!!!!!!
Hard to believe that he is gone.
Now they are saying "it has become an epidemic with people in that age group"...

Everyone around him seemed desperate to identify trends and categories and he was the only one willing to look at life for what it was, and acknowledge that things JUST HAPPEN, no matter who/when/where you are.

Chris Cornell is a saint for putting up with this guy. He answers the questions with great answers that he knows goes right over the interviewers head. Chris Cornell is a consumate reader and student. Society and it's preset cliches has a grey film over most of the music world , that is seldom ''got'' and understood by all. And that is a good thing. Most people will live their entire lives with society controlling their thoughts and opinions regarding most if not all aspects of their lives. Free thinkers are a very valued lot. Drugs and drink affects everyone in life. Rock stars shouldn't be valued more than everyday people. Tradgedy is the same ,loss of human life is the same. Personal choice is really what can heal addiction. Music as a philosophy can do a lot to help as well.

Chris handled him properly, way better than I would have. about two months ago i started watching old Soundgarden videos, I have mostly listened to Pearl Jam and seen them live a few times from that era, vs, no code, yield binaural,,etc..but my good friend introduced me to fell on black days back in 96 97 and have always appreciated chris's vocals from temple and radio play, some early audio slave in 05...anyways what i'm getting at is that this man rest his soul, is very thoughtful and seemed to understand how to encourage those who might be assuming of a certain thought process...when he talks about being productive and what is the true meaning of life and living in music it just inspires me to keep writing and playing no matter how bad things seem..just has great words of wisdom and I wish his family and friends could know how much respect and genuine feeling of loss i have had for the past three weeks. Cornell above all else what a genuine dude and an inspiration to people who feel like in their life there is no hope despite his passing, because in his words he speaks truth and positive things about music and that is the ultimate respect a true artist and musician can gain... to create to share and not for personal gain and wealth and fame...i will honor him by listening to his music and advice in interviews and trying to view some hope in my life for creating and going forward just wanted to share peace all

The interviewer does a fairly good job , but Chris was so intelligent he is able to turn even the stupid questions into interesting conversation. Chris Cornell is in the top 3 best rock n roll singers of all time , along with Robert Plant and Ronnie James Dio.

I have no problem with the question. it made this
an amazing interview. Howard Stern asks the hard questions and he's a genius but this guy does it and people give him shit? I'm not comparing Rizzuto to Howard Stern's but it's a similiar interview style

I'm actually going to stop watching this interview at 03:14. The interviewer is uncomfortably trying to throw an agenda at Cornell and he wants him to play along. I was really interested in the video title but I quickly became really uncomfortable with the interviewer trying to lead Cornell with his heavy questions and the manner in which he delivered them. Maybe the interview improved but I'm far too uncomfortable to find out

The problem, first and foremost, is the term "grunge", which is NOT a genre, but an industry term used to sign bands after Nirvana. Let's get that out of way. The guy just reminds me of those "veejays" from MTV about 20 years ago, that would interview people and have no idea about the music they played, just that they were elevated to a certain prominence due to alternative rock booming at the time. There is a difference between a fanboy interviewing someone and being a journalist. Unfortunately this is what the music media has mutated to. Cornell should command more respect than having a fly to swipe at commenting over you. Sadly that is this generation of being rude and misinformed and they don't see it.

It always struck me that during this era of Cornell's life, he often wore a heavy coat. On stage. On tour. During interviews etc.
He did purchase a house in Florida. And in my experience living here, any tolerance to the cold disappears! Any way. Idk.

If anything this video shows he was willing to solve issues, take ownership of concerns. It goes against what media is hyping as a suicide. I don't see it possible as he did not give off the vibe that there were demons he was hiding or overcoming.
