Editor in Chief J. Scott Olmsted discusses the Browning X-Bolt Pro, the latest addition to our #SundayGunday series. For more information, go to AmericanHunter.org.
I recently bought a 6.5 PRC X-Bolt Pro. My trigger was adjustable to 2 lbs. 10 oz., within acceptable advertised range. I've mounted it with a Bushnell LRTS 4.5 - 18 x 44 scope with a G3 illuminated reticle in Talley rings with a rear ring bubble level. Great rifle and, IMHO, at least as good as the much more expensive SAKO 85 Carbonllight. It has all the attributes the SAKO has and more. SAKO has a deserved reputation for good triggers and the Browning X-Bolt series has, in my experience, an equally god trigger in their 3 lever design. Browning's Feather trigger feels as good as a Timney trigger (just not as light) that I have on a Ruger rifle and that's saying a lot. Both are adjusted to 2.8 lbs. for hunting.
RUGER are you listening to the bolt lock feature info?? MAYBE you could put a bolt lock on your Ruger American rifles. (Or not...) Rest assured, I am DONE losing cartridges in the field from Ruger American rifles. BTW, X-Bolt Pro rifles are now chambered in 6.5 PRC, which I have. Great cartridge for most western US big game, brown bears excepted!
Great video, thank you for your time in making it.

Sure wouldnt mind this rifle in a 6.5 creed and 30-06
I’m looking at this rifle for my first firearm ever.
I’d recommend something cheap and in a smaller cal while you learn the basics
Yeah it’s a great gun but I would get 243 or something like that like a cheap ruger
Bună ziua cât costă o armă browing x Bolt cal 30x06?
Does it come in left hand?
Great review!!
I really like this gun maybe someday
Can I get one in 50BMG?
Would love to see this gun go up against 3,000$ + Custom rifles. Just to show you don’t need to spend dumb money to get Browning accuracy.
I got a Browning ABolt. They are pretty decent rifles but nothing great. Overall Browning does a good enough job with their factory rifles.
How does it group??
My next hunting rifle!
What scope are you running on that thing?
Considering this in .300wm, still wondering about the recoil however.
I have one it’s not bad I’m a 13 year old I weigh 140 pound and I’m 6 foot I shoot with no muzzle brake and all my groups touch
Sir please talk mixmum range
Mixmum range is...hard to know..
