    What is the size of the wheel?

  • @robinhokw
    @robinhokw Před 11 měsíci +5

    Actually plywood has better strength then solid wood, as solid wood have chance to split along the grain.

    • @robinhokw
      @robinhokw Před 11 měsíci

      For better strength, can consider a 2mm aluminum or steel sheet over the plywood.

    The sub flush end caps are genius. Otherwise they usually stick out

      @@TheAluminumCarpenter I do love your work. It's opened my eyes to the possibilities of extrusion. More than just building the machines, obviously! I look forward to more!

    Is it possible to use 2020 for the trolley?
    what is the load bearing of a 2020 shelf spanning 1 m?

    • @TheAluminumCarpenter
      @TheAluminumCarpenter  Před 2 měsíci +1

      Trolley, no. Shelf, possible. Depends on how the joinery were planned.

    I live at a 3rd floor apartment with no lift and would love a smaller stair climb able dolly form of this. Struggling to figure out a good way for it to climb the stairs though.

    • @TheAluminumCarpenter
      @TheAluminumCarpenter  Před 6 měsíci +2

      U prob need the tri-wheel thingy to roll up the stairs.

      @@TheAluminumCarpenter I keep seeing Amazon dollys use those but it seems like that’s a bad idea cause bumpiness. All of the electric powered ones use almost like a tank tread system. I just can’t seem to find a way to just make the tank tread without powering it. My Google fu isn’t good enough to find any type of product that would work so I thought about an in line series of like 1 to 1.5 inch tall wheels

    What's the total cost?

    • @TheAluminumCarpenter
      @TheAluminumCarpenter  Před 11 měsíci +1

      I didnt make the effort to quantify, but I think if you talk abt the raw materials completely “raw”, its approx USD$100. This is DIY cost. No other professional fees were calculated in. Hope this helps.

    what source do you like to purchase your extrusions and accessories from?

    • @TheAluminumCarpenter
      @TheAluminumCarpenter  Před 11 měsíci +2

      I work together with overseas factories to bring these materials into my home country and through the years i do have bulk and regularity, therefore i am able to have all these projects done.
