  • In this video we give our review of The Reef RV park located in Puerto Penasco, Mexico (aka Rock Point). We were recommend to The Reef RV park by friends who had stayed here before. We booked a total of 10 nights in January 2022. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived although, the showers were closed the entire time due to Covid. If you have stayed here before, comment below and let us know if you liked it or not. Hasta luego!

    I store my camper there year round and it's decent. The drawback to that location is that it's a ways out from town, not terrible but Playa de Oro RV Park is in town, Playa Bonita RV park is closer in and a better beach. A tip if you stay here, you can tip the security guards and they will connect and disconnect your rv (if you are lazy like me) 20.00 tip and you aren't touching your poop pipe lol.

      That’s a valid point about it being away from town. When we visited the restrooms were closed, do you know if they’re open now?

      @@rvseeingyou I'll know in 2 weeks when I get there, I thought it was dumb they were closed because of covid yet other parks still had theirs open

      From what I recall, they closed it because they were directed to. But that was the end of 2021 hopefully it has changed. Safe travels.

    This site was beautiful. Several other van lifers that I watch have been to Mexico and stayed for at least a month at a time. I’m hoping when my husband retires next week I can get him to do it. I’m going to him to LA this year and do cabana vans for a week. Wish me luck 😊😊

    Good afternoon! Thank you for the more detailed coverage of this campground. It looks like a great spot to rest and relax before going on more explorations.

      We really enjoyed staying there and having the restaurant on site was a huge plus. Could PP be in your future 😊

    • @campingalan
      @campingalan Před 2 lety

      @@rvseeingyou I definitely would not do a vacation just to PP. But, it could be a very logical stop to recover, if pulling the travel trailer down for a Baja trip. At my current work pace, I would not take the time to pull a travel trailer down there. I would wait until we are done working. THAT becomes the real question.....continue to work for how long?

    • @rvseeingyou
      @rvseeingyou  Před 2 lety +1

      Good points and makes sense. I can only imagine what it looked like back then.

    • @campingalan
      @campingalan Před 2 lety

      @@rvseeingyou For fun, I probably should scan around on Google Earth in PP and see if I can recognize where we were. There was so much space, I highly doubt it looks anything similar. I may have to put on the tequila goggles to see through all of the newer construction.

    Thanks for sharing. I've been looking for a video of this RV Park. We are going in March for the first time, cant wait. How's the water pressure? I think this will be a yearly trip for us. So hopefully we enjoy it as much as ya'll did :)

    Could you tell me how’s towing your jeep

    • @rvseeingyou
      @rvseeingyou  Před 2 lety +1

      The RV towed it pretty easily. It wasn’t as good on the inclines and depending on the downgrade I would disconnect.

  • @nicholasrickfordpavlovic-g2886

    That park looks great, but on the map, it seems pretty far out there. Did you have a chance to see or go buy the other two parks people mention, Playa Bonita and Playa del Oro? I was just wondering which you would recommend. We like to walk in the wet sand in the water, but not swim, and we like tide pools. . . and going out to eat. Any thoughts? Planning on going in November.

    • @rvseeingyou
      @rvseeingyou  Před rokem +1

      We didn't visit the other parks. We had our Jeep and wanted to be away from the city. If we went back, we would likely stay at one of the other parks for the experience.
