Times have certainly changed. Loved ones have passed, and the kid playing elevator action on his black and white tv,with tin foil antenna cable box, and brother next to him fighting over rf switch to play intellivision are gone. But I know I am blessed and fortunate to have lived through that era till now.
I think that generation (I consider myself part of that as well) to lived through that because we saw all the transitions and we can truly appreciate when a game is truly groundbreaking. Indeed times were way simpler back then.
That's what makes them great. Unlimited replay value and high score chasing whereas modern games cost 70 dollars to half of it being cutscenes and then you finish and you never play again because it was just story driven like a movie. Only a handful of games in the past 35 years I can replay. Chrono Trigger and maybe Super Mario World and beat em up games because they are arcade fun. I'd never want to replay Metal Gear again or Final Fantasy 7 or any modern 100 hour game
I remember playing this with my sister. We loved squashing the officers under the elevators along with passing alongside them in the escalators. Idk...just the way you oased each other awkwardy there, not killing each other is just hilarously funny to me.
That ALWAYS weirded me out when the enemy spies deliberately commit suicide by falling to their death when they can't get access to an elevator... 5:46
@@novexGD They didn't disable dislikes, they removed the number counter of the dislike button, but that was on 2021, this video was from 2018 and the message that appears on the button is different: "disabled by owner". so yeah, the channel manually disabled it.
Fun Fact: Taito, the arcade game's developer, only distributed the NES port and its actual developer was none other than Micronics, for their standards, this port is actually cool
