@fulltimedrones industry/agriculture, the company I work for, just got a t30 spray drone and iv built and flown and dji fpv for a while now but pulled the trigger on buying a mavic 3 pro cine

Our gear list is pretty big. If you’re looking for budget friendly and getting into inspections I’d look at the P4Pv2. If you have a little bigger budget the M3E is great.

I’m thinking about picking up a M30t for all around inspection work. Solar, telecom, power distribution.
The M30T works fairly well for solar and utility inspections, and doesn’t really work for telecom. My recommendation would be to pick up a M3E and a M3T (should be about the same cost as a M30T). The M3E is a workhorse for mapping, telecom and distribution utility inspections. The M3T serves all your solar and is way more efficient with thermal mapping.

That M300 is a beast, I am taking my test on Monday, I am trying to figure out which industry to get into. I have my eye on a M30T once I get my foot in the door, would you mind sharing some tips on your marketing strategy and how you estimate projects?
Good luck on the test! For marketing we take a more holistic approach rather than flooding with ads. We built our business on networking. It’s built a very sustainable business model for us. When trying to break into new fields or markets, we’ll also create video content and feature it on our social platforms. We will cater our content to the people and companies we want to work with. I think there are plenty of free or financially affordable ways to market.

What modeling program are you using for your 3D models of the exterior? I've been using PIX4d but have been getting good results with createreality. Keep up the good work.
Thank you. We use Pix4D as well as Context Capture. It depends on the deliverable needed. This video is showing Pix4D.

Are the recommend schools/institutes to undergo drone pilot training across the globe, and secondly who is residing in the UK? Would you mind recommending schools for training?

Nice work, I'm curious. Which app did you use to fly the missions & what app do you guys use for 3D modeling?
We flew in DJI Pilot 2 for the utility work with the M300. We flew the Mavic 3 Enterprise, also in DJI Pilot 2. Both were manual flights, utilities are almost always manual for inspections. For the buildings we flew manual because of all the obstacles in our flight path. We had trees, power lines, active roads etc so manual was the best fit for all 3 situations here.
Excellent, thanks for the reply. All I do are construction sites with my Phantom 4 RTK. I use Measure Ground Control aka AEG for now. But as soon as my M3E arrives. I will start using pilot 2 as well.
The M3E makes like so much easier. I’m a HUGE fan of the P4P line and resisted for a long time, but they both have their place in our workflow now!
I meant to ask you earlier. Are you using your phone's Hotspot for wifi with the RC Pro controller when you are out in the field?
@@Mixxwizard I typically use a mobile hotspot. I have a T-Mobile and AT&T hotspot and have those running for most projects. I’m usually uploading as I go throughout the day so I need something a little better. I also use my phone to control things like LiDAR sensors, base stations and propeller aeropoints so I try to give it a break with the computers and controllers.
How do you advertise/find your clients?
We have several approaches. Our most effective method is networking. Our utility customers we’ve had for a while, but the commercial space we network with realtors, construction companies, property managers etc and we focus on figuring out what their needs are and how we can help solve that for them. Providing value for a few starts to snowball effect and word of mouth becomes a big part of it. We also focus some of our social media content to problems we can help solve and post consistently. Be genuine and be consistent and they’ll notice!
What is a good drone school to sign up at? Where did you study for your part 107 class? Looking few online drine classes
I bought a study guide from Drone Launch Academy about 6 or 7 years ago. I liked the course. I also hear incredible things about Pilot Institute. CZcams has some great free resources as well. Let us know when you pass!

There’s a lot of great free resources here on CZcams. Focus on sectional charts as that seems to be the most daunting topic for most taking the test. Once you pass let us know!

@@fameespinal2859 the projects range. Our matterport scans and models run anywhere from $750 and up depending on size, final deliverable and length of hosting services.
I'm definitely following you! Like a lot of us I'm relatively new to drones but would love to have a business similar to yours one day! I'm still trying to get my head wrapped around the airspace stuff and map reading before I take the test.
I see you use a lot of the big boy drones... I've heard of some some drone businesses renting the larger drones, is that what you did when you started out or did you buy them first?

@@kylepetty3932 welcome to the industry! We created all of this with guys and gals like you in mind. I remember the struggle in the early days and I’m hoping easy and affordable education will help the learning curve!
When we first started out I remember buying our first M210 RTK and it was scary because back then it was about a $30k investment for everything. Fortunately we were able to land a few contracts right away and recoup the money. That’s part of why we have our rental inventory. If you market or sell a project that needs an M300 with any of the sensors, we have them all available for rent. We want to make sure you feel supported as you stand up your company and equipment and knowledge won’t be a resource you lack!
Sorry to be a spoiler...but you can pilot a boat or a ship, you can pilot an airplane, but you cannot pilot what you cannot sit in side of...stop using terms that allow your rights to be removed. You operate a toy with a radio controller.

I respect your opinion on the matter. I’m not using any terms that allow my rights to be removed. This term was put in place by the FAA, maybe your disagreement should be brought up with them.
@@CrixusDomino I am not a hater....I fly toys...I don't claim to be a pilot...a part 107 has way too much mumbo jumbo about airports and details related to a true pilot. People that register their toys and get certified are the reason we are losing our freedoms...you sold out.
