There are several versions. 1 opens up this digital show concert that was made during the pandemic & is of course phenomenal. However the best quality & most epic version of Olimpico & the 1 I recommend for 1st viewing is from his huge live concert. You will find this version on the composer Igor Krutoy’s channel only, look for a thumbnail with a ring of white lights. It’s an experience. All of his performances are. You still have no idea :)

SOS is actually a song from a 1976 French Canadian rock opera called Starmania. However this is the song that catapulted him to worldwide fame after he performed it in 2017 on a Chinese competition show called I Am Singer and has become kind of a signature song for Dimash.

Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers.
His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of daily hard training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 in Almaty, Kazakhstan was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄.
He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard.
SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time.

Here you can hear a large part of fhis vocal range, as well as an incredibly awesome Kazakh instrument. The Kobys. The man who often plays the kobys in Dimash’s performances is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it.

Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He is a twenty-nine year old multi-faceted artist with a soul of a thousand years, who hails from Kazakhstan. He sings in 16 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble and kind man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "Sinful Passion" 2018, "Stranger" 2021,"Olimpico" 2019 link on Igor Krutoy's (composer that came out of retirement to work with Dimash) CZcams channel, "Adagio" from The Singer 2017, "Ikanaide" 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival, and "Ave Maria" 2021 at New Wave. Dimash Qudaibergen (di-MOSH Koo-dye-BEHR-gen) is a talented artist from Kazakhstan who began his formal training at the age of 5. He is professionally trained in opera, contemporary music, and musical theater. His diverse discography includes genres such as pop, R&B, EDM, rock, folk/traditional, neo-classical, opera, and even rap and hip-hop with a vocal range of 7+ octaves: C1-D8(which doesn't exist on a standard 88-key piano).
Qudaibergen has performed songs in 15 languages and is fluent in Russian and Kazakh while also possessing some proficiency in English and Chinese. Treat your brain and your skin to another treat with Dimash's Stranger performance. It's a song that he wrote, and it's in English, and feels like an EPIC performance sending you on an epic journey. Then there is the performance, like Ave Maria, which you are probably familiar with and many fantastic artists have covered it. None like Dimash. He owns it now and doesn't sing a word through it but transfers you through the song's message with just one vowel... Keeping you mesmerized through the whole song. The last note he sings in that song is so perfect, I still can't believe it. It's such a solid perfect sound that ends perfectly. I don't even know why it's such a perfect sound for my ear, but it is.
Olympico and UNFORGETTABLE are songs that will pull your mind too. He's got a message he wants to deliver to all of us, especially this year. Love and Hope and caring about each other needs to increase or...😢
Stranger was not written by Dimash, the music was composed by Russian song-writer Igor Krutoy, and the lyrics were written by American poetess Sharon Vaughn. Ave Maria and Olympico was also composed by Igor Krutoy, however it is not the 'Ave Maria' that most people tend to expect . Dimash did compose the music for Unforgettable Day when he was 19 years old.

Oh, it is SO much fun to watch people discover Dimash for the first time!!! As I'm sure others have said, this was not his original song. Dimash has composed many songs but he usually has someone else write the words although he tells them what he wants. A lot of his songs have quite deep lyrics. Dimash sings many different genres and in many different languages. He speaks Kazakh (his native language) and Russian as well as quite a bit of English and some Mandarin. As you've no doubt already figured out, this isn't even near the top or bottom of his range, his skill level, or his production value. He is not only the best voice in the world, he's the best performer in the world, leaving no detail unaddressed in his performances. He trains long and hard and it shows! Check out "Stranger", "Opera 2", and "Ave Maria". And for a special mind-blowing experience check out the 'behind the story of "Daybreak"' video on Gloria Wu's channel (that performance is absolutely insane) and check out "Unforgettable Day" at GAKKU (his highest recorded note to date). All of his performances have something special about them so you really can't go wrong, but these are a good starting point. Can't wait to see more of your reactions.

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), on the 7th of March 2020. Yes, try Stranger from New wave 2021. It shows lots of different voices that Dimash has. The S O S you have just watched was from a digital show he put on during covid. Us fans watched it together from all round the world. It featured new songs, new outfits, new dance routines, new graphics as well as his usual masterpieces. Dimash is the world's number one voice. He is from Kazakhstan, Kazakh by nationality. He has been practicing vocals since the age of 5. He sings all genres from opera to rap And often mixes different genres very nicely. It is a unique event of the 21st century. I personally attended his concert and it was a complete shock. This song is a cover. Not his original song. But he sings any cover better than the original. To be sure of this, listen to Lionel Richie's "Hello" performed by Dimash in 2018. He is also a composer and multi-instrumentalist. I can talk about him endlessly, which would take a lot of time. “SOS d'un terrien en détresse” tells of an earthly being that is in distress and asking for help because he never felt well in his own skin, he better wants to be a bird to see the world in case it could be more beautiful when seen from above. Luc Plamondon wrote the lyrics of SOS about a very distraught young man who just lost his lover causing him extreme questioning of his own existence. Finally being by her lifeless body, he is able to let her go “in peace“ with the words ‘sleep, my child, sleep’. It is a part of an french Rock-Pop opera released in 1979: Starmania. One of the 5 most difficult songs in French language. It was recorded by Daniel Balavoine in 1979 or so and Grégory Lemarchal won of the French reality singing competition Star Academy 2004 with this song.
