It appears that no matter what people try to say Nintendo has confirmed.
That every aspect of your journey throughout this new Hyrule will be customizable, the game will be open world because we see Link basically doing whatever he wants in most of the trailers.
I think linear would be better, but I'd probably be fine with either linear or open world
I don't think we will get a proper linear game seeing how its in the same world as botw but who knows nintendo can be wacky
I wanna beat a boss by ramming it with the flying machine
(Love the persona music in the background)
Now that will be fun
Id like a linear but open world game. Like theres the main quest, but you can go about it however you want it, or even just… not go about it period?
That sounds pretty solid
OH MY GOD? You want to play BOTW?
@@julien6871 essentially yes. Like not a carbon copy. Think of the Dangonronpa games. Sdr2 is a copy of Thh, but theres new elements that make it unique and wonderful
Hope it isnt i like the botw format
I reckon it will be quite similar to botw but they might spice it up in a good way
@@chriscrikeyson id enjoy that but i do like the way youre open to make the experience you want

It’ll be the same as BotW. You have to view it in the current “games as a service” perspective. BotW was a hit by ditching all it’s traditionally “Zelda” gameplay standards and taking inspiration from many viral open world/ sand box games. This is evident by the game’s CZcams demographic reaching a sect of the Minecraft audience. The mindless sandbox exploration in BotW allowed the game to live on for years without declining popularity. If they were to go back on any of this, you’d heavily divide your consumer base and also create a game that would date like milk.
How would better dungeons and better story implementation make it age worse? Also games as a service almost entirely refers to always online micro transaction ridden grinds. BOTW still used the outdated DLC product model. AND BOTW has already not aged very well specifically because of the open world.
@@blank-vj1mcIt has aged well because CZcamsrs make let’s plays of it everyday showing off their “wacky moments” in the open world. People are doing new first time runs as we speak. As for dungeons, those age it simply because it’s an old gameplay trope. Pop media demographics are typically Gen Alpha or Zoomers and they’re not familiar with traditional dungeon puzzle elements.
I feel like they wont make it exactly the same as botw as nintendo loves to innovate when they can but seeing how popular botw was im not expecting a massive change with anything
@@TheChazzyC Bro, people playing it for CZcams content is not that same as it aging well. The open world is empty, the shrines are repetitive, the story is bare bones, and the over gameplay isn’t as tight as it seemed in 2017. Honestly, the only reason it’s still around on CZcams is because people can watch funny moments and they don’t have to waste 80% of their time running through empty fields. People still play halo 5 on CZcams for content. That’s not a high bar.
@@TheChazzyC Zoomers also love games like Undertale which is the opposite of Breath of the Wild. I think it’s just your personal taste about dungeons. Saying it’s an old gameplay gimmick gives me a feeling that you’re an EA dev that wants to justify their bad games lol
