- John Ritter comes into the hardware store looking for antique door knobs, and Lucy almost cripples him with a series of accidents, advertantly injuring his hands and foot. Lucy takes him home to help him recuperate. After the lead actress drops out, Lucy gets a part in the play John is doing at the Pasadena Playhouse.

I just adore John Ritter!
I've never seen this. What a gem! Lucille Ball and John Ritter. How awesome.
Wow Look how young and handsome john Ritter was
i love that he is playing himself but still has moments of being like jack haha
John Ritter was one of the best comedians in the history of Hollywood, and threes company is the best show ever, my family watches the show everyday. God rest Johns soul😥
ONE of the best!!!!!!!
I guess comedy really is a personal and not a universal thing
John's crying noises at 5:44 though, everything he did was just adorable!
even what he did on 9/11/03
Two great comedians
i am laughing so hard!!!! Why didn't people like this show?!!!!!
I was SO excited about Lucy and Gale Gordon coming back to TV to help save the network's ratings, and having John as a guest=Extra, Extra AWESOME!!!!!!!!
This is full on John Ritter at full 110%. He must have been stoked to work next to Lucy, his comedic idol!
Two of the greatest of all time, doing a scene together. That was God making sure to give us that. No one will ever match what either of them did. There will never be anyone like them ever again.
I love "Life With Lucy" as much as Lucille Ball's other sitcoms. I think this show was underrated.
It just was behind the times. The writing itself was great.

the writing was what made it redundant - and Lucille wasn't up to the era's taste
sure is on the level of her other shows: lacklustre
I LOVE 💘 him he is a 💎 Gem and Treasure in our HEARTS FOREVER 💕.
great trio all were great RIP Lucille Ball ,Gale Gordon most of all Ritter gone but never forgotten :/
I do really like the idea of Lucy being a John Ritter afficionado. That's just random enough to be pretty darn funny. He could have never even set foot in her store and she would still have all this trivia floating around her mind. Stuff like that is just bizarre enough to work. I'm sorry this show didn't get more of a shot, there's actually quite a bit of good stuff here. It's not slick and sophisticated but it is quite charming.
I LOVE LUCILLE BALL. WATCHING HER ALWAYS MAKES ME LAUGH & SHE WAS AN EXTRAORDINARY TALENT! JOHN RITTER WAS VERY TALENTED AND ALWAYS MADE ME LAUGH AS WELL.
Two Legends ❤️✌️
john in that tight pink shirt! i can't even
Almost like Ricky when she was giving him his medicine when he was sick on I Love Lucy.
Jason Ritter looks exactly like him
By that time they applauded if she just walked into the room. It was her last series pretty amazing for that time at her age .
I would've sold my soul if I could have met him
I am going into hysterics!!!!!LOL
From The Waltons, Switching Channels, Slingblade, 8 Simple Rules, various t.v. spots, to the show that made him a household name...Three's Company, John Ritter has became a legacy even after 20 years of his untimely death. I can still recall coming in from work that day as Fox News was showing highlights of his career. I simply thought it was something to do with an award he was recieving such a Hollywood Star on the Walk of Fame, but no. I soon realized that one of my favorite actors next to the late Christopher Reeve and Don Knotts had just passed away. Now im not one of these people who obsess over celebrities cause theyre all about their own arrogance and self indulged attitudes, but John always seemed so humbled. Ive read so many stories about the man and heard of personal experiences with him, and its NEVER been a negative experience. He was a mentor to his young costars kn 8 Simple Rules and also like a father to those kids. Even after 20 plus years, he's forever missed. Theres no one else like em.
How did Lucy an John not die laughing during the scene @ 5:15?
I remember watching this (I was in 2nd grade at the time and loved it. Still do) when it aired and wish it would've gone one much longer than it did.
I would have liked to have seen the blooper role on this....I bet it was hilarious. I never knew this show ever existed....sad it didn't make it...
Right on!!!!!
love john ritter and lucille ball....died of same aortic prob too :/ rip
Lauren Bendik you are so right. I didn't realize that.
What year was this?
John Ritter could make any sitcom in these years work. I never seen this before nor did i know about this show. I assume the rest of the shows werent good.
I prefer Lucy in black and white
VITAMETAGIN!
From three stooges to three's company.
Was the older guy gale gordon aka mr. Moonie ?
yes...
Gale Gordon was also the "2nd Mr. Wilson" on 'Denace the Menace' with Jay North! :) He was a great cynic in that character as well! :)
Norm. Panganiban yes
Also the night club manager during the first season of ILL and the civil judge in the Lucy-Desi Comedy hour episode "Make Room for Danny".
@@leroymccoy9008 gale gordan was on dennis the menace he replaced the original mr Wilson
Is Mrs. Wilcox played by Ruth Buzzi? The video is kinda fuzzy and want to be sure.
They both died of the same ailment--a torn aorta.
I wish good people don't die
This show is shocking!
Sad Lucille and John passed from the same problem:
Aortic dissection.
This is the 1 where he made her lose her shit. You can tell that cut right after the carrot stick
John Ritter *AND* Ruth Buzzi???
I was about 10 when this show aired and was already a fan of both of them from their earlier work . This show is terrible. I didn't laugh once when i was a kid and I'm more than uncomfortable watching it as an adult. Two gown, talented and accomplished people acting like soft headed babies out of fear of being forgotten. Sad.
*Why in the world would you go back to the home of the person who injured you in the first place. What's wrong with his own place. I know it's a sitcom, but the unrealistic scenario isn't laughable ... just plain stupid (which is probably why it wasn't continued to carry on after one season)*
